I'm baaaccckkkk! Decided to email SIL the link to the craze condiment lady. Since she's a waitress too, I thought she would get a kick out of it. I also sent her the link to the thread about "finding Jesus in WDW" She almost gets what I love about it but I thought this would really sum up what I can't express so well. They won't be joining us this year (?) but there is always next year.

Speaking of DB and SIL, they are trying to work on their problems. She has taken a major step forward in what she has to do for this marriage and now DB has to take that same step. I'm starting to be hopeful.

Pikester-We have got to exchange emails one day. I bet we could exchange some real horror stories. My SIL has even broken my DB's nose because she got so mad. Anyways, DH and I both have very large families but we don't see most of them. To give you an idea, I have a cousin named after an adult movie star. And that happens to one of least shocking things I can say about them.

M&N-OMG!!! I always thought if you traced Tony's and Zippy's family trees back far enough, they would have family members in common. Have you heard any rumblings about who would take Tony's place if he left? Maybe that Joey Lagano (sp)?

I used to always be on Jayski's site but now I just cannot find the time to keep up with NASCAR rumors for some reason. I also won't be able to watch the shows this weekend. Is Joey a Gibbs driver? I thought he was going to do 5 cup races this year but not sure where or when.
The sigh CB different thread got off topic too and you were the only one to acknowledge me...glad you didn't have a TK banner or they may have thought it was a setup.
So glad SIL is seeming to settle more and be responsible.
Had good news that my cousin's cancer did not spread to her other breast. Still waiting to hear how uncle's father did with bladder surgery and cancer findings there.

That thread got off topic when Carly, CR and Disneyfav4ever chimed in. Sorry they really rub me the wrong way. Though I don't like the way things happened, obviously we can't change the past. If everyone would take you advice, maybe the CB would be a fun place (to a point) again. And I've decided that posters will ony read the posts that they want to read no matter what was written.

Glad to hear about your cousin. And I'll keep my fingers crossed your uncle's father. They will all be in my prayers.

Morning friends! You know, Sam Champion, the GMA weather guy, is lucky he's so cute because he has absolutely no idea what he's talking about on the morning show. It is not humid and sunny, its chilly and raining. He is just so, so wrong.

Pikester, sorry to hear about the extra expenses. But at least you have answers for your DS's pains. I'm with you with the "when I try to save, THIS happens". I noticed it a long time ago. I like to have a little money on the side, but whenever my family makes a large endeavour to save big time, incredible unexpected expenses come up. I try not to tempt fate. I spend my money on Disney vacations!

M&N...so you got Patrick back ok? $1500---sorry to hear that! And big prayers out to your cousin and uncle.

My SIL is in massive insane preps for the Evil Ones. I can't even talk to her, she's just freaking out. We're far more alike than my brother and I. But she's so OCD about everything, a real control freak, which further stresses her out. We're going to have "secret meetings" while the Evil Ones are here--she'll need to vent and I love hearing about how annoying they are.

My nephew will arrive from Kansas today. He and my neice have graduation practice tomorrow then the real thing on Saturday. I can't believe they're off to college! They were born my first year in colleg--I remember when they came to visit me in their little double stroller and my whole dorm took turns playing with them. Where has all the time gone?

It better rain now and not during the Chicago concert. They cancelled Ringo Starr last weekend coz his band was detained at the border. Hmm...makes you wonder what's going on on that bus!

Speaking of DB and SIL, they are trying to work on their problems. She has taken a major step forward in what she has to do for this marriage and now DB has to take that same step. I'm starting to be hopeful.

My SIL is just the tip of the iceburg! My ILs are wonderful but my FIL has a sister (and family) that they call Disneyland. Talking to her is a real trip!

My side of the family is not without it's nutties. My sister. Love her but she so frustrates me with her......I don't even know what to call it. She's not married but has a SO whom she has 3 kids with. As of December 2007 I have had no contact with her. I was the realtionship maintainer and I just got tired of being the one to visit or call all the time. I was usually made to feel like I was intruding. I was also the one to remember birthdays and holidays with gifts or cards. Never a thank you or reciprication for my kids. I mailed her a letter recently (They don't have a phone but when they do it's a Trac phone and they lose and get new numbers so often I don't have it) but have recieved no response even though my Mom gave her stationary, envelopes and stamps as a Christmas present.(I know stamp prices went up but just use 2. She will not go to the post office to buy 1 cent stamps.) She feels that we all look down on her. She feels more comfortable with the SO's family because they smoke (they both smoke) and she feels like we all stare and judge. I wish she would get healthy for her sake and the kids but hey you do what you want. I feel bad for my folks because then never get to see the kids.

I was just complaining about our local weather man this morning. I could have sworn he said sunny and mid 70s until late afternoon showers would roll in. Funny, it's been cloudy, raining and temps in the low 60s since I got up. I guess I shouldn't have slept in till 8:00a. I think there was some sun at 6:45a!

Weather is icky here too. DH is on his way home because of the rain. He just told me this past weekend that he was going to start to work more overtime so we could try to move to FL sooner. Now, he's been home early almost everyday because of the chance of storms.

M&N-What's your opinion on Stewart leaving? Think he's going to go? I think he's outta there. He just can't handle not being the "top dog" at Gibbs now.

Pikester-Your family sounds as good as mine. We haven't seen my MIL & FIL in almost a year and they live locally. And they have to practically drive by our house to go see DH's sis. And before that, the only time we ever saw them was when they needed to borrow money. That's the only reason we ever heard from them. She always said she needed money for her medication and if we didn't have it, she would be mad. Now before you think we were horrible not helping her get her meds, she and FIL smoked a combined 4 packs of cigarettes a day and he drank a case of beer a week. She couldn't visit her son or grandkids but could make it here to pick up money.

But I was reading the c instead of a k and character didn't even register because I had cookies on my mind. (none in the house though ) I had been talking with teacher friends about how they want all teachers to teach the same way, same subject at the same time and expect all kids to learn? Like you could take a cookie cutter and expect all to come out the same. I guess it would be a boring world if there weren't kooks (notice how I got out of deciding whether to use the y or ie) in this world. And it sure doesn't sound like you have the monopoly on crazy relatives.

I think he just wants to be own boss now and do things his way. I'm sure it wasn't easy with that squirt coming in

but I don't think Tony needs the limelight---just the control. Plus others have said he's a Chevy guy. I'll be with the friend who has a NASCAR room this weekend so I'll see what he says. He even has a tire off Gordon's car that is signed. Hey, is the season that boring that we have to talk about who's where for next year already?
