That kind of blender does sound like it would be pretty useful. I bet the kids could make smoothies in it too. Going to have to take a look around and see if I can find one of those.

So, I could make them with just a plain ol' blender? Everyone always talks about how great those margarita machines are and it's the only way to make them. Though spending a couple of hundred just for an indulgance seems outrageous to me. I'll have to go pick up a blender and give those a try next week.

Any ol' blender will work, especially if you are o.k. w/ the "on the rocks" variety. If you really want a frozen margarita (like a slushy w/ the ice all crushed up) just make sure you get a blender than can handle crushing the ice w/o burning up the motor. (Or get a cheap one so that when the motor does burn out, you can just chuck it in the trash... ... if you've had enough margaritas, you won't care.)

Whew... I think I'm caught up. It'll never last though, I don't seem to get a chance to check in much on my weekend (I say "my" since I work off days). Especially now! I'm SO far behind on getting DSs new "big boy room" ready and getting everything unpacked and washed up for our new addition. I am doing a little every week, but this sinus thing has seriously cut into my productivity.

So, I didn't multi cuz the computer was locking up and it was taking way too long to catch up on all these pages... I'll post what I remember...

Pikester - Keep trying on the Wrinkle in Time series. They are wonderful (its a trilogy in case you didn't know.) I was a BIG time reader when I was young. I'm not sure if I remember what I was reading at that age specifically, but I think these were all in the same time frame as Wrinkle...
Where the Red Fern Grows (a classic... kind of Old Yeller-ish... you have to be able to deal w/ some down parts too.) Has he read the Narnia series? Those kept me busy for quite a while. I loved the Oz books. I had no idea how many there were... there's one for almost every major character that pops up in the movie and then some. Let's see... I'll have to keep thinking.

Oh!! Congrats on the award too!

Racetrack and M&N - I SERIOUSLY doubt you two will have any lapses in conversation... But, if you do, go get a big bag of that kettle corn... Its impolite to talk w/ your mouth full.

Magikitty - I hope the wedding and the graduation go well. (or at least as well as can be expected.

Hope everybody is enjoying their Saturday. DD is still asleep but she never threw up yesterday and she was able to eat some chicken noodle soup. She will be just fine for her trip.

I've been feeling a little sorry for myself today (miserable cold, stuck at work, tired, too busy... etc. Life's daily little annoyances.) Reading that blog got me out of my head and back into my life. I'm still sick, tired and would rather be somewhere else... ... but it just doesn't matter so much. I can't wait to head for home tonight and give my DS a big 'ol hug and spend some time w/ my DH and curl up happy in my nice bed (so what if I cough the night away... ) I've got my guys all around me... not to mention in my belly! (whew... what a kick that just was... hope he knows I wasn't leaving him out! )

Thank you everyone for your support. The guys are back! DH went as support for DS10 so I didn't have to worry about the both of them. DS10 did the 200 yard swim/2 mile bike/1 mile run in 30:48. He finished 14th out of 24! Whoo Hoo! He was the second to last in the swim but gained during the bike portion. This was his very first event. We'll see what he gets to do next.

Feel better lighttech! I'll keep trying to ply the books on DS10.

WooHoo on the triathalon!!! That's great that he did so well in his first event.

James Taylor was great last night! He still sounds exactly the same. We had to park on the other side of the Garden State Parkway and walk about 1/2 mile or so up to the concert (and then back). Not too bad--just gave me more cardio for the day!

I'm having a blast with my DSis!!! Today they went to the mall, and I ran errands. Ended up at the mall and met them for lunch. I'll see them again on Monday. NOT SOON ENOUGH!!!

OK, I'll try.
1. Go to photobucket
2. Copy IMG Code (Right click on your mouse then left click on copy)
3. Come back to DIS
4. Click on your user CP
5. Click on Edit Signature
6. Put cursor where you want your map
7. Paste (Right click on your mouse then left click on paste)

Let me know if you have any more trouble and I'll try to help you figure it out.
I'm not the best computer person. I am just very competitive and I refuse for a machine to beat me.

I haven't tried it yet, but I do use photobucket... Are you getting an error? Or is it just not showing up?

Usually, you just have to view your pic on photobucket and then click in the little box IMG under it which highlights the "code" for your picture. Copy and then paste it into your siggie.

Does that make sense?

I've seen the smilie on a few different websites but the one I got it from had it under the "love smilies". I hope I didn't offend anyone by posting it. I just couldn't figure out what it is that they are doing and was hoping one of my fellow TKers might have some idea.

Just wanted everyone to know that I've emailed my picture to Shmu for the Flat Tker meet at Disney. I took my own picture (held the camera out in front of me ) and DH showed me how to load it on to the computer. I attached the picture file to an email and off it went. I did it! I did it! I did it, did it, did it!
