Hi everyone. I live about 15 minutes from Pepper and I don't know about her, but we had a few sprinkles and thats about it. Heck, we didn't get enough rain to water the lawn.

I think my computer has a mind of it's own. I have it set up so that if I'm signed in here, I will get a little pop-up screen that tells me that someone has posted. Well, since you last replied here M&N, I've had the little pop-up 4 times and yet nobody has replied. I already think my house is haunted but now my computer too.

Okay creating computer envy here. How do you set it up like that????

Just wanted to check in and let everyone know that my nephew is fine.
He didn't do anything stupid, Thank God.
Long story short,
He found out his girlfriend of many years was cheating on him.
He got angry.
He is all OK now.
He has some very good friends and a fantastic set of parents.
He is back to my big ol lovable nephew.
I'll check in and catch up a little later.

Glad all worked out he will be fine and doesn't need a ummm well it's the dis boards so I won't comment he's better off without her.

DD did fine. Her EEG showed some spikes, but no seizures. We are holding steady on her meds for now, and we go back in 6 weeks for an EEG and to see the doctor. Hopefully all will be well then, since it's 3 days before she leaves for camp!
OH! I am SOOOO jealous!! Wish I could be there too. But at least I'll get to meet Racetrack in the fall at the Celtic Classic.
Say hi to Cape May for me. Heaven only knows when I'll get down there--busy summer!

Morning everyone! I'm missing for a few days and the thread gains FIVE PAGES?!?! Whew, lots to catch up on....

Good news is we found a wedding dress! Lucking my GF is a sample size 10 (I love her despite this) and we were able to find a dress off the rack! There's minimal alterations to be done, but nothing major....still looking for a veil. Killled my feet walking around the city. Was even blatantly laughed at when visiting bridal shops when they heard the wedding is in 2 1/2 weeks. But ha! We found it and things are really rolling. I'm basically on wedding duty for the next few weeks.

Strangely, while thoroughly enjoying all the wedding hoopla, it has not inspired my own nuptial bliss. BF (not David) really doesn't beleive me, considering I'm such a girly-girl and will ordinarily embrace any chance to wear a fluffy dress and tiara (which I will be wearing for next weekend's bachelorette party!). I don't know....I didn't expect this myself. I'll have to think about it.

Very stormy here today. Lots of rain, lightning, thunder, wind and hail. All came at rush hour as we were on our way to school. I guess its our turn now.

M&N and Racetrack - WooHOO! On the meet. Its too bad its not for a few weeks. I'll be there on Sunday w/ the whole family. Unfortunately no rollercoasters for me this year, but I'll scope 'em out for you! (Totally worth it, of course. But baby'll have to wait a few years. The only thing I'm a little bummed about is that DS is tall enough to do Trailblazer this year and he'll have to go on w/ someone else. But, I did get to do his first coaster w/ him at Disney in Nov. Disney54us - Hi! And, I am trying to trust my instincts. Things were much calmer at drop off today and when DH dropped off yesterday, so I feel a little better.

I did 30 minutes of WiiFit and it was really FUN! I suspect this is going to become a daily thing, at least the days I don't have personal training (and maybe some of them, too!) Now I have to go to the dentist. (just having 2 crowns put in, no biggie)

WiiFit sounds great. We don't have a Wii, but (he'll deny it) DH does the fitness section of DDR every now and then, and its really a blast. (I did it with him a few times, but all that jumping around is too much for my baby belly these days!)

whgrn-you got to stop writing so much...I can't keep up and it's only been a 1/2 day. Glad things went well for DD yesterday. You really are a local. Doesn't September seem so far away? I can't wait though. I think I'm going to have to get new memory card for the camera. Lots and lots of pics to be taken. Have fun when DSis comes home. DH feels the same way when he get to see his brother and he only lives in Tampa.

disney54us-yep, missed you again. My fault...but I really did try to get on here. See ya later...maybe? And you are not the only one who hates pics of herself. Right there with ya, that's why I always have the camera on vacation. My kids are the ones done with school already. Yesterday was the last day but they go back in August. They use to start after Labor Day and I liked that much better. There is a large fair here that runs the week before Labor Day and I use to be able to take the kids during the day when there are no crowds. Can't do that anymore, so we don't really go anymore. Kinda miss it too.

D&DDisney-don't know about the lime green mickey heads. Maybe "I'll" have to find another color to use. Now I gotta think about this.

lighttech-oh yeah, you gotta check out those coasters for me. Have to come up with a touring plan, you know. But even though you can't do the coasters, there is just so many other things to do. That's why I always like it there. Hope you have a great time. And be careful. Heat wave comming on through.

Afternoon everyone. Whew is it hot here. It is not supposed to be this hot here this soon. My husband works in Chesapeake (22 miles from home) and they are calling for 100 degrees in Chesapeake on Saturday. He is an auto tech and they have no AC. You would think a pricey Acura dealership would have AC for the techs.

I am going to multi quote for everyone, because it would take too long. I will just say I hope everything is going well for everyone and those with sick loved ones get well.

I am off to water the grass before it turns brown from the heat.

I'm with you Kim! Just so much going on with the TKers! It seems to be a few scares and concerns in recent days, but thank goodness everything seems to have been resolved, or we are waiting for good news to arrive.

Babies off to school, daughters graduating from school. How wonderful and life changing for all.

whgrn..,.,.yet again, I am so jealous. I've been wanting a Wii forever now, but I keep spending my money in preparation for the Disney trip! Maybe after September I'll start squirreling away money for my own. Just the other day, a gf asked if I had a Wii yet, and was surprised I hadn't gotten one yet. She said it looks like something I must have, and I completely agree with her!

The weekend's supposed to be scorching here, but right now, I've put on my cardigan and drinking coffee to keep the chill off!

Kim, been thinking about your job problem. I think you said you live close to the beach? Have you tried at any of the hotels around your area? Housekeeping, dining room or anything like that. Not ideal but you mentioned busy season so maybe there are some kind of opening there. Just a thought since I saw your other thread.

Well, It looks like I have found a job.


I went to at a seafood restaurant at the oceanfront called Fish Bones. I went to fill out an app yesterday and the owner talked to me when I was done. He said everything looked good and he would call me over the weekend to tell me what day next week they would be doing the training. He said he was hiring a total of 3 servers and he wants all of us to train at the same time.

I do not want to do this long term. I am still holding out hope for a job in an office with better hours so I can see my family sometimes.
