M&N...don't you know that wives get to wait backstage for their honeys?

Kitty's waiting in the back....way cool smilies BTW!

I don't know how to break this to you but saw this when I signed on aol...The newly crowned "Idol" winner said Tuesday on "Live With Regis and Kelly" that he recently had a dinner date with former "Idol" contestant Kimberly Caldwell. The TKers will go get him if you need us.

Something to make you laugh.
I needed to learn how to post videos to youtube for part of our business.
I practiced by videoing our two dogs.
I only used the video on my camera so quality is not the best.
You can hear how southern this ol' girl is.
Never posted pics of my pets so I'll post the video here.
Let's see if this works.
Someone mentioned they have a dog named Scrappy.
We have a beagle named Scrappy and a beagle / husky mix named Bubbles.

You did a great job! Now we know what you sound like! The southern accent does come through.

Looks like I should not have been lazy last night. I just discovered MONK on tv and bought season 1 dvds at Target so I watched 4 hrs of that. I'm boxing baggy winter pants up today. I need to try on clothes that I could not wear last summer but don't know if I lost enough yet. I think I gained a few over the weekend.

Ah, "shopping" in your closets, eh? I LOVE doing that! I never know what I'm gonna find!:rotfl2: Lately it's been slim pickin's (pardon the pun...) since most of what's in there is too big.:woohoo: NOT that I'm complaining--it just gives me a good reason to go shopping for new clothes!!

I was just going to get off and saw I was not alone. I still cannot use that as an excuse to get out of getting something done! So I had better leave...for now.

Morning!!! Nice weather here but kind of on the chilly side especially after the warm, humid weather we had for the last couple of days. DD6 is on a field trip to the Philly Zoo today. She's only in Kindergarten but she had to pack her own lunch today. She was so excited by that little chore. I could just imagine how she is going to react to the actual trip. :rotfl2:

It always amazes me how good they can be 1 week and how bad they can be the next! You would think as a chef they would have to have some consistancy.

I know exactly what you mean. I don't think anybody had even really stood out this year. And there are quite a few that I think should have been gone a long time ago.

MagiKitty-I'm here if you want back-up fighting for your man.

Saw you on the other board and wanted to say hi but you signed off before I could motivate myself to sign in. :rotfl2:

Morning everyone! Ok, let's just get this all straight. My husband is NOT dating Kimberly Caldwell. It was cute staging--you know, Idol dating Idol. They've just been SEEN together, let's not overreact here. But if need be, I will call upon the TKers to help me take back my man.

I actually was kinda bummed when I read the story. Granted, him asking her out was really cute, just made me like him more. Sure, she's cute, and mildly entertaining, but I had better hopes for David. From what, I've seen, she's not exactly a mental giant. But she has talent and does sympathize with what's he's going through right now.

But he will come back to me. BF had to put his foot down when I taped a picture of David Cook on my headboard. I had to concede that it was a bit much. But how wonderful to wake up to my husband smiling at me!

Shmu...congrats on posting on YouTube! Your dogs are just adorable, and your accent is awesome!

Racetrack...how cute for your DD and her class to go to the zoo!

Calling on a crafty TKer...MagiKitty needs a pic of her husband on a pillowcase. Who knows how to do that?
Then she can cuddle him...

:yay:I do :yay: I do
Remember that I did the Jonas Brothers pictures on pillowcases for DD's BFFs birthday gifts!

Right now, I just peeked in to say Hi:wave2:
When I get back to my other computer I will produce the picture to print on an iron on. Got a laptop for Mother's day and have been working from it mostly, but my design software is installed on my "big" computer.

Magikitty-I caught a second wind and am now feeling better about the trip-thanks for the pep talk.

:hyper: :hyper:
I just finished Wegoshop order to fax tonight.
Just got off phone and Bil wants to change ADR's:scared1:
whacky078.gif
He's kidding right?
:rotfl2:
Got to go to store for OL stuff-I have a tons of lists to work from

DD has big "grad pool party" Friday and I get to: go to school and pass out the wristbands in the morning, decorate for it in the afternoon and chaperone it at night-lucky me. Miss one (pta)meeting and look what happens to you:faint:
:rotfl:

Catch ya'll later
:hippie:

Thanks to everyone. Not getting the job I was hoping for kind of put us in a bad place. The short version is that I sell real estate and everyone knows nothing is happening there. The problem is that I still have all the bills that I had when I was making alot of money. I have my car up for sale, but so far nothing on that front. I need a job that pays at least 30k a year to make up the rest of the monthly bills. I have had no formal college, just college of real estate. I can do anything I put my mind to, but it is hard to find a job that pays more than 10.00 and hour if you only have real estate experience. I can't make it on 10.00 an hour, it will leave me too short each month. Foreclosure on our home is the last thing I would want to do, but we are backed into a corner right now. I have pretty much exhausted our savings at his point.

Anyone have any ideas what kind of job pays at least 30k a year with my experience?

Thanks, Kim

No time, but trying to keep up anyway.
(and check in :) )

Caught up to page 25... Hopefully I'll do more later.

Wow... new arrangement of smilies... I'll have to check it out later.

Hope everyone is well and had a nice weekend.

Weird, double post on another page here...please disregard.

Hey everyone!!!

Just popping in to say hello. I am feeling much better, but have had a horrible week!!!

My Grandfather died on Sunday, then my Husbands partners Mom dies (we have known them for years), then yesterday they found a mass in my Dads lung. I am trying not to panic just yet because it is still early. My Mom said the Dr. said it could likely be Lung cancer, but they will not know more until next Tuesday when they do his Bronchosope. Everyone please pray for him. His name is Roger. Pray for my Mom too. First she loses her father, then the find the mass in my Dads lung.

On top of all that, I am really upset for Kim. You guys please pray for her. I have met her and she is a really awesome person!

Ok guys, really really weird. I KNOW M&N, Bopsmom, Kim and Lighttech posted after me...where did all that go? I'll try to remember what I can...well I am a DOODY head! Somehow I reposted the same thing twice, on two different pages. Hmmm...sorry!

Thanks for looking out for me M&N! I totally forgot about the pillowcases! Thanks Bopsmom for offering to help a girl out! Glad you got back into your happy planning groove...may I ask what OL is? And good luck on the chaperone thing! Sounds like a lot of fun....for the kids!

Kim, I'm really not a person to offer advice on the job market. All I can say is that my oldest brother and his family are having to make some serious concessions in order to budget. My SIL was a SAHM until recently, and when money got tight, she too scrambled for a job. She wasn't able to find anything well-paying, but she did find some childcare during the day, and after school care. My only advice for you is to talk to people who may know of anyone who is hiring, keep an eye open for summer opportunities, and try to think out of your comfort zone. You may not get the salary bracket you're looking for, but some money coming is has got to help a little bit....

Now where did all those posts go? I didn't hallucinate them, right? (ok, I was just stupid, not hallucinating)

Pepper, we posted at the same time. I am so so sorry for the string of recent events. Please give extra hugs to those you love. Your family will be added to my prayers. Whatever strength I may have I'm sending across the miles to you and your mom. Big hugs.

I dunno??? Somehow my post ended up over yours? I saw what you were talking about though.

Pepper and Kim, I just said a prayer for both of you, and will continue to do so. I have no idea about jobs for you Kim, sorry. I know this whole real estate thing has had a huge affect on so many people. I pray you won't lose your house. Maybe the market will rally after the November elections? (depending on who gets elected, that is...)

I am constantly amazed at how fast prices are going up on everything! I paid $3.75/gallon for gas yesterday, and that's for REGULAR! :scared1: I know that's less than alot of y'all pay, since NJ does have the cheapest gas. But it's certainly more than I've ever paid. And grocreies? I won't even GO there--every time I go shopping, it costs more.

Someone here had a good idea--:moped: Wish that were an option for me, but with 2 kids, I don't think so. Hmmm, maybe for scooting around town when it's just me??

I have 6 dead trees in my back yard. My landscaper, who is here doing a huge cleanup (haven't done anything in about 3 years, so it's WAY overdue...) will take down the 2 smallest ones, but I had to call a tree service for the others. The guy was just here, and they can take the trees down tomorrow or Friday (which is perfect, since the landscapers can work around that) and it will cost $1000. Alot of $$$, but not so bad for 4 trees--my neighbor just paid $750 for ONE!! Seems like every time I turn around, it costs me more $$$.

kimluvswdw and Pepperw23:  I am at a loss for words but remember we are thinking of you. :worried:
Shmu: cute dogs and love you accent :lovestruc
Bopsmom : Didn't you know? never miss a meeting of the PTA! :lmao:

Pepper and Kim....praying for both of you.
Things do seem so unsettling right now in the world.
I just know that God is bigger than all of this and that is where I put my trust.

Glad I didn't scare any of you off with my southern accent.
I might try another video later on. I'll post it here if I get the chance to make one.

Is everybody well now? I hope so.

Well, I am going back to cleaning out my cabinets and closets. Remember no kids this week. Trying to be productive.

Big Hugs to all my TKer friends. It sounds like we all need one.:grouphug:

I am sorry to hear about your troubles. I hope everything works out and it is not cancer. I don't know what in the world is going on these days, but it sounds like everyone needs some pixie dust.pixiedust:

Kim

Kim--pixiedust: You are in my prayers too. Sorry I do not have any solutions. Keep asking around and looking UP.

Pepper--pixiedust: You and your family are in my prayers too. It seems like problems are all there is sometimes but God is in control.

Bopsmom--You sure are busy. Love the padded room smilie! I need to make an index of where I can find these guys instead of surfing all the time.

Whgrn--I guess it's better to pay to have the trees taken down than have them fall on something. When I deposited my rebate in savings the bank lady said---what not spending it? I relpied that my house would find a use for it soon...it wouldn't collect that much interest!

MagiKitty--You are always changing your siggie! Love the dancing kitty. I need something cool for mine.

Shmu--It took me forever to watch the video but it was worth it. I have dial up and guess that's why. It would play 2 seconds and then stop and then play and stop. Your Happy Place sure looks it. Glad someone actually uses the paint from the Mickey Heads! I gave my friend the plates with the Mickey parts around the border. We drew names for Christmas when I was there. She bought the place mats later. I have the Mickey timer that's black and red. I waited until the last time I was there to get it to make sure I had the money. I also have measuring cups and spoons...never used them though! I also saved a popcorn box from Christmas--snowman Mickey. I also saved a gingerbread Mickey cookie. His ears are chocolate. They are so good but I wanted to savev him. I was going to spray him but didn't and he's 3 yrs old and still ok.

I need to check what's on tv. Comcast took away tV guide channel--you need the digital box and pay $2 extra a month---I was too cheap so now I check the web.

Racetrack--we didn't discuss the race. I thought Jeff Gordon was so excited to finish 5th (I think). Jr was lucky to finish where he did. You could not read anything on the side of his car from rubbing the wall. It's the Momster Mile this week. Someone from around here made their new monster. I would like to see it.

I don't know why...just needed a smilie ending...
