CALLING ALL THREAD KILLERS
NEW AND OLD

OK, I have had an idea

I read this thread, TR, and PTR
On the TR and PTR threads some people are taking there DIS friends with them on their WDW trip by the way of pictures.
They call them FLAT ______ For example, I would be FLAT SHMU
(Great way to feel skinny, because there is nothing flat about me in reality.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: )

Since MagiKitty and I are going to WDW at the same time in Sept. and we are both staying at the POP, I thought it would be fun to have a virtual TK DIS meet.

So here is my idea and ya'll can let me know what you think.
(I know, ---ya'll-----, I am from GA. That's my southern accent coming out.)
Everyone who wants to participate can post a pic of yourself, email me a pic, or mail me a pic.
I can then make you into a Flat buddie.
Hopefully, MagiKitty and I can meet at least once at the POP and then we can have a "Group" picture made with us and all our Flat TK buddies.

OK, Good idea or bad.
Just let me know.
I am a little loopy from lack of sleep so it won't hurt my feelings if ya don't want to.

Ok, before I answer this, I have to ask you a question. Is Puny going to be available to pictures too? I know he's famous now and all, but it really would mean so much to have my picture take a picture with him. :rotfl: :rotfl:

All kidding aside, it sounds like a wonderful idea and I'm in. I just got to have someone take a decent pic and not one of those ones that my DD likes to take. You know, the ones when you are least expecting it and they just walk into a room and call your name and just snap a pic. Yeah, DD loves those pics, she thinks they are a riot. Too bad she forgets, I have the naked baby pics that I've save for just the right time. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Night all!!!!

:rotfl2: Revenge! :thumbsup2 We camped when I was a child so my mom has pictures of us all on the chamber pot. (Long before porta pots  )

I vaguely remember that post. It didn't make much sense to me. :confused3
Sorry I panicked re my TR, I'm very insecure. I thought I was too boring. :rolleyes1

Happy Mother's Day!

Just a quick Happy Mother's Day everyone!

(we'll get back to the new thread chat tomorrow)

Everyone enjoy their loved ones today! Big hugs all around.

Good afternoon!

lighttech-My husband racing did freak me out! Now he is into mountain bike racing and road bike racing. That is a whole other set of worries.

whgrn-Woo hoo on the "skinny" clothes for you!

Shmu-:welcome: back! I don't know you, yet, but I hope that changes. Not sure about the "flat" TK. I hate having my picture taken (I always look horrible!:scared1: ) I have to think about it. Besides, I am totally dumb when it comes to loading pictures onto the computer.

whgrn/DL55/Magikitty/racetrack18kb:Thanks for the votes on the bags. I tend to choose colors that won't show dirt (Hence no Pink). I picked out the chocolate and the grn in the Donner because they look a little different from each other in the pictures. Not sure which style I want. Magikitty, You made me shed a tear :sad1: when you offered to lend me your baggallini. You don't even know me and you are offering to lend me a personal item. That means alot to me  . On that note, I Thank You but I think I am going to treat myself to a new bag. I am leaning towards the Donner mainly for the mesh waterbottle pockets.

There was a weird "post" posted on here yesterday. It did mention the "issue". I ignored it because I figured "they" were just trying to :stir: .

disney54us/ M&N/ pepper23/magsnden: Didn't want you to think that I can't "see" you. So here is a big Hello :wave2:for you.

Happy Mothers Day!!! to some of my favorite moms (and future moms!?!)

You all are so NOT gonna belive this. My kids brought out their gifts and cards for me this AM. Really cute cards. Little bag from Talbots, which of course contained the Talbots gift card I wanted. And what else is in the bag? Well, the ex knows I hate Godiva (remember, the kids told him I only like Hersheys and he said that is junk), so he got me a 1/2 pound bar of Hershey's Milk Chocolate! Um, hellllooooooo? Serious weight loss going on here? Dairy allergy going on here? Chocolate is SO not on my food list! I'm giving it to my mom to send to her soldiers.

Men are just so clueless.

:welcome: back Shmu! How did DD's Sweet 16 go? I was going to ask what your plans for "our" vacation was, and how we could possibly fit a meeting in. I'll go back to your pre-TR and try to coordinate! I'd love to have a Flat-TKer meeting! That would be so much fun!
Thanks.
DD's birthday was fantastic.
We can PM each other and coordinate something. I need to remind myself of what my schedule is going to be. Been on the back burner for a while.
Flat-TK meeting it will be.:thumbsup2

I think its an adorable idea!

Pikester I have a baggallini I purchased recently from Ebay. I am loving it. Almost went with the Donner. I think they both would be great choices. Let me know how the Donner works out.

Yup. Had a skin graft on my abdominal wound. So far it's going good. I feel fine. I'll be glad when i can totally resume my "normal" activities (like the gym!)
I LOVE it!!!! When I take pix next week, I'll post one for you.
Glad it's going well.
 Another one in.:thumbsup2

I think that's a fun idea. I was going to post a picture of me as I was told I was too far away in my TR pics.
  This will be so much fun.

Shameless plug for my TR.
I didn't know you had a TR. I'm going to go find it next.:thumbsup2

ummm, did anyone else get a weird notification for a TK post that's not here? From someone who, as far as I know, has never been a TK? Regarding "the issue"?

Just wondering if it was just me, or what. Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled lives...
I saw that post. Strange.

First of all.

Now to answer your post.
I'll have to check Puny's calendar. Agents are starting to call.:lmao: :lmao:
I think he might be able to fit you in.

All joking aside. That would be fun.:thumbsup2

Just a quick Happy Mother's Day everyone!

(we'll get back to the new thread chat tomorrow)

Everyone enjoy their loved ones today! Big hugs all around.
Sounds good.:thumbsup2

I'm sure we'll get to know each other pretty quick on here.:thumbsup2
I'm sure your pictures are not as bad as you think.
I could PM you my address and you can mail me one if you decide you want to have a Flat Pikester. Just let me know. We have some time.

Men are just so clueless.
:lmao: :lmao:
You are so right.

Happy Mom's Day everyone. :flower3: Even if you're not "officially" a mom, you DO mother someone. This used to be the most PAINFUL holiday for me. We tried for 10 years before the adoption of my first DS and then tried some more (medically speaking) and luckily my second DS came along. It's not always the happiest of holidays for everyone.
However, I do have to say that both my DS made me cry this am. They gave me one of those musical/recording cards with their little voices saying "Happy Mother's Day". Really puts things into perspective.

Yeah on the Skinny Pants being too skinny. :woohoo:

:smickey: I'm all for the "flat folks" going to WDW. I'll try to find a decent pic to post. I'll go to WDW any way I can. :teleport:

Heard our thread was hijacked.

Glad it was taken care of. What did they post?

Very cold, windy, rainy day here. Was hoping to plant in the garden today, but won't be doing that.

Hey everyone. I hope your Mothers Days are going great. I am on my way to a mothers day dinner at my Brother In Law's restaurant, but I wanted to pop in and say............................

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

We're in the pool today with Mimi.:thumbsup2(brothers finked out on taking her to dinner) :sad2: :headache: -I hate how they treat her, but I just have to go on. We called and had her come over for steaks and swimming. I got her stuff for the Mimi Mobile-her MiniCooper.
I wanted to see how ya'll were doing.
I'll check in later.
Hope all of Ya'll are having a good day.:dance3:
:hippie:

hey, if you guys see the tag fairy, will someone ask her for an add on to my screen name?! lol! i think i'll need a "nbaby."

has anyone seen those baby tickers? do you think it's tacky if i get one? i think they're cute!

I thought your ticker was how old the baby was. :confused3

I am most certainly NOT "high maintenance"!!! With the exception of getting my hair colored every 5-6 weeks, I am actually maintenance free!

I thought wanting to go to DW all the time was considered high maintenance!

OK, I have had an idea

Flat Stanley is one of my fav books. I got mad when the teachers started using it and I couldn't read it anymore in the library. I used to give the kids a body and they had to make their face. I'll have to mail the pic since I cannot post...no photobucket and not sure if I want one. Do you just want a head shot or whole body shot? I can try and see if I can email one. I think it would be cool. Then aren't several going to be there in Dec? We could pass the flat killers along. Pilester---don't wimp out on us. You're a killer now and killers don't let killers be flat alone. (OK...I need a better ending there...somebody help me please.)

Shameless plug for my TR..WDW without ADRS...almost
No one read it yesterday. :worried: I wasn't planning on doing more installments until Monday as I figured people are busy on weekends. :flower3:

I wasn't home...I read it...I really do...don't be worried...please don't stop...just look at the hits it gets...remember everyone won't post every time. :flower3:

Oooh...further mystery. Does this mystery post go along with "the-incident-that-shall-not-be-named"? Darn, I missed it!

Racetrack, no word on the thread closing. Do you think we should just start a new one just in case? What does everyone else think?

I thought if they closed us they would link the new one to the original and that way we would not loose our "past". I personally get confuzzed at times and check back on who said what when. I just don't like the one that has temporary after the title.

I also was going to comment on the bag but lost it. I forget which one I liked. I personally do not like the one that was longer than the other. Things tend to go to the bottom and stay there for me. :upsidedow I got mine from AAA. I have trouble deciding from pictures so wanted to see some in person. But I do agree that the bigger you get, the more stuff you'll carry. I can put camera, sunglasses, money, charge cards, and an umbrella in it. Didn't think of trying water bottle. It wasn't that hot in Dec. I got black for dirt too.

Sounds like you all had a great day. My mom loved the pin.

Glad you on board for some "fabulous flat fun":lmao:

I have heard of Flat Stanley but haven't read it. Kids are older and I'm out of that loop.
I guess whatever shot you want but I think a head shot would show up the best.
Just let me know if you need my email or mailing address and I'll PM it to you.
Don't know about Dec. but that would be great for all of us to have "2" trips.

OK, your last statement had me laughing for about 5 minutes.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hey TKers!!! Looks like everyone had a nice Mother's Day. Mine was very relaxing. DH and my oldest DD took care of all the cooking and cleaning today. Doesn't get any better than that.

D&DDisney-I got one of those talking cards too. Seems like the were very popular this year. They are so great. Got my mom and stepmom each one from the kids.

M&N-Who won the race on Saturday? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Pikester-I'd like to know how the Donner bag works out too. I need a new bag for our trip too and am always looking for the perfect bag. And you have to take part in the Flat Tker meet. It wouldn't be the same unless everyone was there.

whgrn-you got that right about men being clueless.

Bopsmom-You probably made her day just by doing so little. I hope you enjoyed your day too. :flower3:

Shmu-Thanks. :flower3:

Oh, how well I remember those days. Wondering if I'd ever be a Mommy. Watching all the other moms with their kids, feeling so left out. My first Mothers Day, Laura was 2 1/2 yo, and I remember her saying "I love you Mommy". Made my day! (still does!!) Best Mothers Day I ever had, that first one. I still have the picture of me, my Mom, and Laura--3 generations. Didn't realize you had adopted too!!!

We're in the pool today with Mimi.:thumbsup2
Hope all of Ya'll are having a good day.:dance3:
:hippie:

Oh now that was just CRUEL!!! It barely hit 55 here today! My pool is open, beckoning me, but I know that water is FREEZING! Maybe by July it'll warm up enough to be in the pool??

I did not mean to be cruel:scared: -we've already had 3 days just this week in the upper 90's with the heat index at 95.
We are getting past the spring and running head long into summer were it gets hotter than the hinges of he_ _ here.

Actually at the end of summer it will be too hot to swim because the water gets too hot and you can get heat exhaustion from it.

I hope you all had a good mother's day.
I know even before DD I had 174 kids that I felt like I was a mother to.
I still get email from some of my "kids" 11 years later.

My first Mother's Day was the day DD got baptized.
The minister almost dropped her at the alter. She only weighed 4 pounds and MIL insisted that she wear a floor length, silk baptismal gown that had been in the family for generations. The minister was already nervous. Combine a squirmy baby and silk, I am surprised he didn't drop her.:) in front of the whole church.

Have a good night ya'll

Very cold, windy, rainy day here. Was hoping to plant in the garden today, but won't be doing that.

So glad to hear a happy ending to your story. You are right, it can be a very tough day for a lot of folks. I feel very blessed.

Good to see you around here! Glad Mother's Day was relaxing and that you saved Mimi's day too.

I went to bed before victory lane so not sure! :rolleyes1 At least he didn't knock anyone off the track to win. The wall sure got black though.

It was... DH claims its ruining Nascar for him. :rolleyes1
I only watched part, but I agree... better cars or not, can that really be a good idea to use the wall like that? I mean, even bumper cars aren't exactly "comfortable" to get banged into from the side... and they are going what... 5mph?

I hope you all had a good mother's day.

that's a LOT of kids!!! :rotfl:

OMG! What a funny baptism story. Tiny little DD must have been swimming in that outfit! I bet the pictures are precious.

Well, Happy Mother's Day to all!!
DH and DS did good too. Even w/ a houseguest, DH took over a lot of work that day so I could relax. I got a sweet card all colored in from DS, and DH got us a membership to the ART MUSEUM!! :scared1: :woohoo: I wasn't sure it was my husband for a minute. (He's not exactly an art museum kind of guy.) But, he had looked into it, and they do kids art project days on some mornings and thought it would be a good family outing for some of our hotter summer days. I was very touched. Then, we went out w/ the whole fam to "linner" (late lunch/early dinner) and I stuffed myself for once.

Only bummer was DM couldn't come. She wasn't feeling well, but we're going to do a lunch w/ me, her and DS tomorrow.

Gotta run... the chores are calling...

Sounds like you have a hot tub whether you want it or not!
If the gown has been around for generations, I suppose at least someone's been dropped or almost dropped. That's a neat tradition.

You must have done something right for DH to think of Art Museum memberships. That sounds like good fun for everyone. Your bummer will turn out great. DM will feel more special because you are celebrating juwst her and not all moms! :) It's the time together and not the date it happens. Never heard of "linner".

Terrible day today. Taking my 2nd mom (BFF's mom) to the eye dr. It's not raining now but only to get to 48 today...and damp.

ooooh, can I come live with you? That sounds absolutely glorious! I'm freezing my tail off here--only in the high 40s today. :cold: I'm just shamelessly jealous!:lmao:

I LOVE your baptism story!! Do you have that on video? That would be one for the family memory DVD!:rotfl2:
