village idiotWow, the threads have been busy!!! Life has gone beyond busy for me and has entered in to what I like to call "Arrggg mode" I even made a thread ha ha. It made me giggle and made me feel less stressed, so I hit "submit"
Beaker (new guy...remember him?) Is BEYOND strange...good worker, but weird.
The party on top of a quadrupled workload, a Sr. VP that seems to have lost his village (get it village idiot hee hee), and my "inherated problem employee" has made my life almost laughable. I will be ready for Disney World when it comes.
Did get a bit of bad news yesterday. I have been expecting it, but it still stings. My Grandfather (last living Grandparent) has bone cancer. The Dr's have called the family to visit. We are heading up this weekend on the way to DS baseball tournament. Gonna be a tough day, but we have all come to grips with it. Even my Grandfather has, he is ready.
I love the new book smell too!!!I like the old book smell too, but that is a conversation for another day.

Thanks! I try not to be one of those "braggy Moms" but sometimes I just can't help it ha ha.
The good teens are out there, they just never make the news. Sad really.
Welcome back!!!! I am very very sorry to hear about your bad news. We are hear for you if you need us.
If I missed anyone I am sooo sorry, I am interested in what every single one of you have going on...I'm just not good at the whole multi quote thing.
Sorry to hear about your Grandfather.
Ha ha. I saw you on my silly thread. Didn't expect anyone to respond, but I am glad they did. Sometimes it helps to do something that just flat out makes you giggle.![]()
Beaker interviewed "normal" but right out the gate day 1 he was strange.
first day: caught him in a lie from the interview, I let it go. In the interview he said he moved down here to support his wifes new job, but on day 1 he said now his wife can quit her "horrible job" Errrr?
Then I am sure you read about the whole GPS saga.He has since made another reference to where I live. eek!!!!
So here are some random stories:
Yesterday I was giving him some instructions and he just stared at me then randomly started laughing??? I have a really really good sense of humor but for the life of me can't figure out what is funny/strange about this statement I made to him..."Write down step by step what you are doing for expediting because I need to write a process because it is new."(the comment makes sense to a buyer...I promise lol)
Today he did it again!!! I said "grab those Purchase Orders and assign the numbers then we will go from there today" (I showed him how to do that last week) again the strange stare and laugh. I finally asked him what was funny and he said "oh I just do that sometimes, you will get used to it"So another employee overheard him and jumped in and said "just randomly? You just bust out laughing?" and he said "yea" and looked at her like SHE was the idiot.

Then there was the ice cream worker story. So we all know if you order chocolate and get strawberry, no big deal, just switch it right? Oh no, not this guy. He felt the need to go in to this big long story about the kid at the ice cream shop that got his order wrong, so he told him he was an idiot and asked to speak to the manager. I was expecting this really interesting story like the kid kept messing up or something, so I listened...but that was it, that was the story. He was all kind of upset haha.
These are just the ones I can think of off of the top of my head. No one will interact with him because they say he makes them nervous...really not sure what to do about Beaker. I am hoping he is just one of those people that does not know how to react in new situations. Oh yea, on day 2...DAY 2....I had to lecture him on refraining on making racial slurs and gay bashing....That is all I need is for someone to overhear him pulling that garbage, not to mention it is not nice.
So here lie the "early" Beaker stories. I am sure I will have plenty of them in days to come.
She's home! She's home!Finally I can get some sleep.
Night everyone!
She's back, now Mom can rest.Okay so I think I finally caught up and if I left anyone out in my ton's of multiquoteslove you all.
So my weekend story and DS and the punks (my new name for them), yes so mature, but since this is the dis boards you don't want to hear what I would like to call them.
Sat. was the Town Wide yard sale, did pretty well and got rid of tons of stuff that had been in the garage to 'go through' since we moved in.
Now the neighborhood kids were out and about across the street. Never looked over said hello to DS, who by the way made almost $30 getting rid of some of his old toys. It's all over and cleaned up and it is about 5:00 DD's bf is over and was sitting on the porch w/me, she was upstairs getting ready
(girls
). Here comes the kid from across the street who had the b-day party a couple of weekends ago and another kid who lives up the block. They ask if DS is here and he comes out to the porch and if he could play. Well they go over to W. house across the st. and when the leave I have my suspisions, why all of a sudden do they want to play. I was very close to wanting to say something when they came over, since I'm sick and tired that they are 'friends' with him one day or week for that matter and then ignore him. Make up your mind you don't want to be friends fine but don't use him.
Anyway about a hour later he comes home, (taking abrb, sorry but this still gets me on fire).
Back. Okay so he starts telling us how they had bb guns and were shooting at him and one hit him in the bridge of his nose right near his eye, and one on his shoulder and somewhere else. These are they air something or other one's but can still do a lot of damage. Then he proceeds to tell me how they were throwing rocks at him and he was hiding behind there garage. I asked why he didn't run home and he said he couldn't b/c he was behind the garage trying not to get hit w/the rocks. He said that he told W. that w/the guns you are suppose to wear a vest helmet and goggles and aim at a target his friend has one. Well needless to say I am fuming and DH is ready to go through the roof. His mom was home and then went out and her niece is living with them but they were out back. DH told me I needed to go talk to W's mom, she just change her # and I didn't have the new one so I went over rang the bell no answer. could still hear the punks out back. Left her a not in the door to call me. Next morning I'm drinking coffee on the front porch and I see her across the street talking to a neighbor. I go out when she's done and tell her I need to talk to her. I tell her what happened. She is appalled as I new she would be, she is honest to know her son is not a angel and tries very hard to instill good behavior. She tells me she will have him come home (he was already out playing) and that they would be over. We were going out to breakfast so my cell rang (as I was leaving I saw him going in the house) and she said they came over and we weren't home and she would be back in the afternoon and they would be over. She said she was calling the other boys mom to let her know. When we came home my phone was ringing and it was the other boys mom apoligizing and said that they came down to apoligize awe weren't home and could she sent her son down to say he's sorry to DS. He came down and DS was out back, so I looked at him and told him to go through the gate DS is out back. Just b/c our beloved 100 pd German Shepherd was out there too
oh well. He is fine it's just that he barks a lot and could be intimidating. Then W. and mom come over to have a pow wow. She wasn't letting him off easy ,with just a sorry to DS. She made him face DH,DS and me. Then went on to explain about being a decent human being. DH, told him that even though he was a kid that what he did was assault w/ intent and that if it wasn't for the respect he had for his mom he would have called the police and that he would be sitting in juvy last night. The 'guns' his Dad bought they are divorcing and dad is well lets say not much in life and still wants to live his 'glory days' when he was a big HS football player. The type that this makes you a man, and tuff. Funny thing, both these kids have been bullied, so I guess this makes them feel powerful to do it to someone else???? When it was my turn I told him flat out that this back and forth since we moved is ridiculous and if he didn't want to be friends w/DS fine. Be a decent human being you could say hello, and thats it. Don't use people, I reminded him that the 'cool' really popular kids are the ones who are nice to all and DD was standing in the doorway and I told him ask her she's in HS. And who can do there own thing and leave others alone. That's being a 'real man'. Obviously the guns are gone, she didn't buy them for him, just one more issue for her in this messy divorce. So that's the story, and this is the school that DS is going to next year, since the bishop closed his!
Thank goodness their parents weren't the kind that said "not my son". Hopefully things will be better.ok here goes!
I'm pregnant!!!!! number 3 on the way! i'm going to have to ask the tag fairy to please give me a tag that says "nbaby" - you know, magsndennbaby!
so we had a huge scare 2 weeks ago, we had a screening test that showed a possible chromosomal problem. we had been through this before (i was pregnant before i had dennis), so this was a very real and very scary problem. honestly, looking back, i don't know how i got through that time, and i really couldn't face going through it all again.
so we had a test called CVS that is a little like an amnio, and so were waiting for the results for about a week. i truly thank God, and Saint Gerard (the patron saint of mothers) that our prayers were answered and everything is genetically PERFECT!!
so i really want to thank you all for your unconditional support, especially when i was being sooo vague and no one knew what i was worrying about. although, someone did guess, didn't they?
thank you all, my good friends!
a healthy baby!
disney54us...first off, I am so glad that your son wasn't more seriously hurt. It was a blessing. Second, I want to kick those kids for you and your family, but I suppose that's not the mature way to deal with things. I am so inspired and awed by your strength. You did the right thing in dealing with this right away and demonstrating to both your son and your neighbours that this incident is NEVER acceptable.
magsnden! You did bring back a little souvenir! Congrats to you and your family! That's two....things happen in threes...who's next? (and its NOT me). Much happiness that the baby is going to be fine!
Not me! unless you count my DD moving back home!

I like the old book smell too, but that is a conversation for another day.
Finally I can get some sleep.
