Good Morning Killers, At 7:20am KS time Hope was born!!!!! . DN went in yesterday AM around that time so it was long day and night for her. Her best GF was so upset the night b/f that she couldn't be there she put her kids in the car and came, though she had no one to watch them she wanted to at least be there at the hospital if she couldn't be in the labor room. All worked out since, when GF's dad came home from work she took them there and was able to be there for the delivery with her. At 8:00 my time her GF called to let me know she was getting ready to push and called 20 mins. later and She was here. Okay the name, only my DN now isn't sure she wants to name her Hope, It is a name she has liked since she was young and now says maybe I'll name her Morgan. I'll spend some time with her and decide. I'm sure in the end she'll go with Hope, Hope Morgan would be a pretty name.
You guys were quiet yesterday, very quiet, I guess that's good I didn't have to much to catch up on!!

Oh Oh, this could be interesting.

We have a $500. deductable, so either way I'm out 500. Taking it for estimate today.

Excuse me but... I just had to do that. I was thinking of it the whole way home today. I did not buy the dark chocolate covered hand made peanut butter eggs that I wanted sooooo much. Had it in hand 2 times. Not that I had a perfect eating experience this weekend. I did take the French apple pie and a brownie but could have had so much more. I tried to save extra points but they would not have covered the egg---it was big.

Waiting to hear about Hope. I think some of the names are going back to older favorites. My cousin used Grace.

Did we get all the peeping done and confessed? I saw Disney54us did a great job. Have to check the peep thread after lunch. Cannot eat too late...need to get water in so it'll have time to get out before WW tonight.

Love the older names too!!! Grace has made a 'comeback' in recent years. Very pretty and feminine.

Now that we have only 16 more days to go. My DH wants to play golf in the AM while at Disney. I told him he could only play in AM one time, the other 2 times will have to be in the PM. We can't miss prime theme park times! Of course he has no tee times yet, but we're not sure you can get them for single golfers anyway.

Thanks, haven't heard from her GF getting a little worried. Tried DN's ph, so not to use GF's cell mins. but keeps going to voicemail, just texted GF about 10 mins. or so and no reply.

Well today just is going great, Took DD to dentist, she broke a tooth (must be something in the water, first me then her). It seems it isn't broken it is decayed and crumbled, I figured it would need root canal but they said she would also need gum surgery. In addition, they said that even after all that, the tooth would be in 'guarded condition' aka it may not work and have to be pulled anyway! Then on to the collision place for estimate on her car, well seems those lovely thieves really did a job on the trunk lid when they wanted the spoiler, so it's not just a new spoiler also a new trunk lid. Yes killers, things are really going well this afternoon.
Hey we haven't heard from magsnden in over a week I may pm her and bopsmom hasn't checked in either.

Afternoon everybody! Seems that everyone's Easter went off quite well.

Welcome baby Hope Morgan! What a wonderful time to enter the world. Spring is fast approaching and everything will be so beautiful for you.

Disney54us...I can't believe how terrible people are! I am so sorry such a thing happened to your daughter and the car! What is going on in the world? But at the best, your daughter is safe and nothing happened while she was in the car. Sorry to hear about the tooth too! Maybe you should ask Magsnden about it (when she returns!)--she's a dentist, I believe.

DL55...are you excited yet! Just over two weeks until your trip. I agree, mornings are so good to head to the parks, you're perky and excited. When you get a little tired, your DH can head over to play golf and you can relax either at the hotel or maybe the spa? Of course, this entirely depends on available tee times...Have you packed yet?

I love, love my BF. I was panicking yesterday coz I had gone out to score some Cadbury eggs for my niece and couldn't find any! I had also looked before Easter, found none, thought maybe all inventory would be out after the holiday. I went to the pharmacy, grocers, Target. Nothing--is it me or was Easter just huge for everyone this year? So I complained to BF about it over the phone, and he went scouting for eggs and actually found them! He called me from the store to ask how many I wanted...I told him as many as he could get. So he bought me two dozen for my little niece. She's 7 and doesn't really ask for anything. She has terrible scoliosis and wears a brace, which thankfully has cleared up a lot of her pneumonia/respiratory issues. She's fairly limited in her mobility for most of the day, so aside from TV, books, and coloring she doesn't play like most kids her age. She never complains though, so when she asked for Cadbury eggs, I had to get them! Now my BF has saved the day for both of us! I'm feeling very fuzzy toward him right now...

For those needing seeds, please give me till next week. I swear I will have it together then.

We have had or been company for the last week and then the pool heater broke-chilly kids in water didn't bother them-being held hostage by repairmen.

DH is in CA until Friday-late,
DD's birthday is Thursday (party Saturday)and I am doing and re-doing a mystery party. It's opening day of baseball and a child can't come which requires a re-write of scripts. Yikes!

I am taking DD(and 2 of her friends) for Middle School orientation tonight-she may not even be going to the neighborhood school. She has been recruited to the GT academy for the county but doesn't want to go I am at wits end to decide what to do. she is smart-but I don't want her to burn out ya'know.

Not a lot of posts, but there's so much in the few that are there! I'm stealing a minute before trying to crank out some more work around the house. Sunday was a run around getting Easter morning done, doing some laundry, getting everyone bathed and presentable, but then a very nice dinner w/ my parents. DH traded Good Friday off for Easter Monday off since I'm home from work then, so we took DS to the zoo, and then used an old gift card we had come across to take ourselves out to dinner. So, I am left w/ today before its back to work, so I've been trying to cram in as much as possible. (Plus, tied up on the phone w/ a credit card billing error and more daycare inquiries...) No big deal, but I'm feeling a bit guilty about being online at all... So, here's some quick comments...

Welcome Hope Morgan!!! Happy Birthday and I hope everyone is doing well. How nice of GF to make it to the hospital!

I love the South.

My DD has been sick for the last couple of days.
I can tell she is maturing because she handles it better now.
When she was younger, she would let EVERYBODY know how she felt.
Lots of screaming, huffing and puffing, and statements like
"I HATE my nose"
OR
"I HATE my throat"

She ended up "hating" whatever part of her hurt.

Now we can tease her and say "OH, I HATE my nose" and she'll giggle.
GLAD she out grew that habit.
Funny now but annoying at the time.

Childbirth should be fun later on in life when she's married.
I can hear it now.
Screaming through the whole maternity ward.
"I HATE MY HUSBAND"

If I saw 97 inches of snow in one year...well, I wouldn't see it! I'd have left town after 30 inches!

Hope Morgan!!! I like that name--hope she keeps it!

It never ceases to amaze me how awful people can be. No wonder our society is going to hell in a handbasket! If everyone would just follow the golden rule--"do unto others...", think of how much better this world would be!

I miss all the PEEPing. It was fun and hilarious to read all the escapades. But revenge? Hmmm, this could be interesting!

I forget what else I wanted to comment on! DUH!!!

There are 2 batches of muffins baking in my oven just now. One blueberry, one cinnamon-chocolate chip. Made by DD and DNi and DNe. (DS is at the car show with the ex). They had a blast at cooking school this morning, where they made...you guessed it--muffins!! They wanted to make some here, so I said sure. They made a huge mess in my kitchen, but it was fun to watch them cook. Can't wait to see what they make tomorrow and Thursday--and whether or not they'll want to cook more those days!

The scale was my friend today. By some miracle--I've been unable to work out since last Wednesday becuase my knee was in pain--I've lost 4.8 pounds this week! What a nice surprise!! So now I'm down 23 since New Years! Wooo hooo!!! I go tomorrow for my fitness eval--THAT should be most educational!! They will tell me I am not in shape. I will remind them that I AM in shape--I'm round. Round is a shape!

We were having a discussion earlier about chocolate chip cookies, and whether or not a person could live on nothing but. I said yes. After all, they contain all 4 food groups! Dairy; butter is made from milk. Milk is dairy. Meat/protein: eggs are a great source of protein. Grains: flour is a grain. Fruits and veggies: vanilla and chocolate come from beans. Beans are a vegetable! VOILA! The perfect food! Mom's chocolate chip cookies. (DMom got quite a laugh over this one!!)

Later killers. Gotta go supervise the post-muffin cleanup!

Hi Everyone, thanks for all the "Birth" day wishes for Hope Morgan. I have talked to DN several times , and mother and new DD are doing well. Her GF just sent me pictures. She's so beautiful, and alert, well I guess she was well rested being that she was due on 3/11, so she came out wide eyed and bushy tail. Told DN how all the killers wished her congrat's and all love the name Hope Morgan, even the one that she will always be Hope Morgan to us killers. Maybe, she will keep the name, though she was referring to her as hope when she called at dinner time.
Didn't multi quote computer having a hard time every time I've been on the boards, glad lighttech and bopsmom checked in now just missing a few, come on guys. Have to be up early going to dentist 2+hours away, she is a family friend and has a great practice. I must say beautiful too, I hate being in a dentist office but hers you feel more like your in a Spa, really. So want to have DD checked out by her oral surgeon, see what they think and go from there. So good night killers, and thanks for all the prayers, well wishes and for DN and Hope.

D&DDisney-97 inches of snow!!!! Oh, you deserve one of these I couldn't even imagine how people around here would react if we even got close to that. They freak out if 2 inches are predicted. Do your grocery stores even have food in them anymore or has everyone bought everything and stocked up?

MagiKitty- You have got to be the coolest aunt around. Your nieces and nephews are so lucky to have someone like you in their lives.

DL55-Getting close. You'll have to give us trip report when you get back. Some of us have a llooonnnggg wait until our next trip.

Shmu-Hope DD is feeling better soon. Ds and DD6 have a cold right now too. Trying to avoid it myself but not always easy with a house full of kids.

lighttech-sounds like you had a nice Easter. Love taking the kids to the zoo. Hope you cleared up the cc problem. How's the daycare search going? Maybe I should go on the offensive before stepmom has a chance at revenge.

Morning everyone! When I woke up today, I was so excited because it was so bright out. Little did I know it was because all the sun was shining off of the THREE INCHES OF SNOW we got overnight! Will it never end? There was no mention of any sort of precipitation on the forecast, and then this? To add insult to injury, the weather guys are all excited about how warm its been--what are these guys getting paid for?

Truth is, the snow is melting rather rapidly so far, but it definitely made for interesting dressing today. Do I dress for the snowy weather right now, or the anticipated near-60 degree weather predicted for later? I have serious doubts that it will be as warm as they claim. They really lost my faith this morning.

dreamin...thanks for the compliment. I try to be the aunt my nieces and nephews can always come to. Its not my place to discipline them, just let them know that I'm a part of their lives and love being with them.

No, no sign of Magsnden yet. I'm starting to get worried!

Well, the snow is melting off quite nicely. It's been in the 40s so that has helped. However now they tell us we may get 6-8 inches tomorrow or it might be a rain/snow mix. We are going to blow past that 100 mark w/ no problem.

DH made his tee times last night, he's He's going to play in the am on Sat. then a 3pm (for cheaper rates) Mon. and Thurs. We are bringing out the suitcases this weekend. I'm going to get my pre-vacation haircut today.

Lunchtime check-in. Forgot to pack today, and I'm having a yummy salad from our cafeteria (we have a salad bar, and then they had fried shrimp today, so I splurged and got that, tossed it with some hotsauce and dumped it into my salad. I was very excited until I got to the checkout!!! Over $7 for a salad!?!? I remembered why I usually pack! )

Dreamin- Daycare search is moving along slowly. The next 2 schools are YMCAs. I have high hopes, but one has a very long waiting list, and the other I have no idea b/c the director is out of town, so I'm waiting for her to get back to get more info. Good luck fighting off those germies. DS is almost over his cold, and DH has it now, so I'm tempted to walk around the house wearing a surgical mask.
