Hey everyone! :goodvibes

Well well well! How much you've grown!

Been busy and lasy at the same time (if thats possible):confused3

Just got in a funk of doing ABSOLUTLEY nothing. Just did enough to live and breath.

Was REALLY cold and snowy here for weeks and just was depressing.

Now getting out of funk :woohoo: Reaching 50 here and now getting ready to go to the World!

Just want to wish everyone well and say sorry I haven't been around.

Started listening to the Podcast and am getting hooked on it. Very funny and informative. If you haven't listened yet try it out.:thumbsup2

Will be lurking.......................... See ya!

Oh thank you thank you so much Bopsmom! I just got my seeds today. I must confess, I was kinda jealous when everyone else was getting theirs, I thought mine may have gotten lost in the mail. But they're here now and I'm reading that so cool pamphlet that came with them. I have to head to the store this weekend to get the proper supplies. Looks like I'll have to indoor them for a while here coz it doesn't look like its going to be warm anytime soon!

:wave2: blamemysister. :welcome: back! Was looking for you pages and pages ago. Sorry to hear about the funk, I get into those too, esp with the weather being so difficult this season. When are you heading back to the World? oops, I can see when by your trip ticker. Don't be a stranger!

:welcome: Back blame my sister!!! Come back and join us when you can.

DH comes home today and tell me he stopped and got breakfast at Burger King. He wanted to eat in the truck at Burger King. You know, eat while sitting in your car in the parking lot. We've done it with the kids if they have been wound up. Anyway, DH pulls into a parking space and is confronted with this sign...

OMgoodness, I made sure there was basil in each one. I don't know why it didn't come. I will send you some more a.s.a.p.

:yay: on the post count

Oh, THANK YOU!!!

Looks like I have missed a lot of fun.
I miss you guys.:hippie:
Life is keeping me away from the computer.
Trying to play quick catch up.

 Hi Shmu, hwere ya been? Missed you!

And still going...was 506 at 11!

Ooooh, love the conga line. I gotta get me some smiliies!!

Where is everyone today????:confused3 We're the only two signed on.

I spent 3 hours at therapy/gym, an hour at conferences, then took the kids to cooking class, quick dinner and the play at the HS (Peter Pan, it was AWESOME!!)

I think I killed my power cord for the laptop--it isn't charging, and it's plugged in. Guess I'm gonna have to order a new one, and use the kids' computers until it comes. Crap....

We had to keep replacing DMom's minnie antenna topper on her MiniCooper. People loved to steal it. :sad2: She now has one strung on line hanging on her rearview.

I have a Pirates Mickey ball on my van. There is a hoop through one of the ears. So far, he's stayed on. I hope that you get another soon.

DD home stick. I know she's sick, she's missing a party at school and had to cancel a sleepover for tonight

Sorry to here about DD, I'm sure she is bummed missing the party and sleepover:hug:, to her feel better.

Can't seem to take a lunch break... I've already re-heated my lean cuisine pizza 3 times (it now officially tastes like cardboard.)

So, no time to chat, but I did catch up on reading anyway!!

Sorry for mean people and sick kiddies. Hope everyone finds a way to brighten their day!

:scared1: okay lunch sounds scary:rotfl2:, just try cheese and crackers!

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words and offers of generosity! I am more than willing to give loving homes to any toppers that are going unused at the moment. Now I just have to go look for large stick pins. But I feel kinda bad using Minnie as a voodoo topper.

So sorry to hear about the sick little ones. This season has been particularly bad and rampant. So many people getting sick more than once this season. Last year it seemed the flu was more headache and bodyache, this year's has a lot more tummy issus. Poor dears. Get those buckets out and give them lots of love.

I've been nursing a sore throat for nearly a week now and I think its time to fess up and go on some meds. My plans on ODing on orange juice have betrayed me.

Fess up and call the Dr.:thumbsup2. In a mean world, sometimes you have to do what you need to care for you and yours (meaning your Dis antena heads):confused3.

Bopsmom-:grouphug: to DD. I hope she feels better soon. I kept DD6 home yesterday. She wasn't real sick but run-down. Many people will not approve but she really needed a rejuvenation day. She's been sick this year but hasn't miss any school because of it. She either got sick on the weekend or when school was cancelled because of snow thie year. I think everybody needs a day now and then just to relax.

:wave2: lighttech

MagiKitty-take care of that sore throat.

Mental health Days, they are good for the soul!!! Young and Old.

just stopping by to say goodbye! :hippie:

i'm leaving in a little while, i'll see you all on sunday evening.
have a great weekend everyone!

Well welcome back, dis vet. Seems like you had a action packed day and fun:thumbsup2.

Flower design class at Wegman's was fun, made a triple topiary, if I had a digital and knew how to upload I would post:confused3. Maybe I could get DD to do it for me. I was the only one taking the class, so it was just me and the manager from the florist dept. Had to go shopping after and made some mean pan seared scallops tonight. Love the 'cooking ladies' there, one is so into health and eating she is a cancer survivor who is celebrating her 12th year aniversary, when she was told she had 6 months. She cooks great stuff and told us how she just had to find a way to live better. She's very informative and her food is always yummy. God Bless Her, and way to go Audire:thumbsup2.

Design class sounds great but not as great as those scallops. I love to cook but it's the cleaning up part I can't stand. I get tired of doing dishes for 6 so I don't cool big meals anymore. I need to start though....getting tired of the same old things. Anybody got any good, quick recipes to share? Congrats to your "cooking lady". :goodvibes

I must have had caffeine or something because it's 12:50 here and I am still awake. Wide awake.
Glad to see you back BlameMySister.

I know I've been missing in action a lot lately.
I'll give you a Cliff Note version of what we have been up to.

Working on the basement--Almost completely finished. I'll post pics in my PTR when it's finished.
I have officially been accepted into college. Going back to get my teaching degree.
Helping DS finish his schooling. (Remember, we home school. He will finish this year.)
DD wants to finish early so I have been working on getting her stuff together so she can graduate next year.
Taxes for our business and personal account. (Hate this)
DH did a radio show on a very small radio station near us to promote our business.:woohoo: (He was really funny)

BopsMom that was so sweet for you to send some of your stuff out.
We have truly become close in here haven't we.

I am getting Spring Fever. The weather has been great here in GA most of the week. DD even wore long shorts to school one day. (She goes 3 days a week to take the classes I don't teach her.)
My tulips are getting taller. I'll take pictures when they bloom.
Trees are blooming and flowers are coming up.
Just in time for Easter.

I guess I should try and go to sleep so I'll sign off now.
Talk to ya tomorrow.:hippie:

good morning, early for me. I've been up since about 5:confused3, have no clue why, so I decided to get up and make some coffee. Been watching CNN and the tornado that hit Atlanta. Shmu, don't know what part of GA your in but I hope your safe and sound.

Have to tell you, they are good!!! Quick and easy. Go online and check Wegman's they have great recipes for food that's good, and quick. Think of it as 30 min meals:laughing:. We will have to add that to the romba list, Dishwaba:thumbsup2.

Wow, you have been busy!!! Glad your back. Good for you going back to school:cheer2:, way to go.

Good morning everyone!

Shmu..are you and your family ok? Were you affected by the storms at all? They're saying on the news that the terrible weather isn't done yet...please be safe and careful. Congrats on going back to school! How exciting!

disney54us...I miss Wegmans so much. They had one where I went to college (where my twin niece and nephew are also going in the fall! :thumbsup2 ). I've seen more Wegmans south of me, I know they now have them in the DC area. I would take classes with you if I could. I try to be crafty and creative, but its a struggle for me.

dreamin...that Burger King sign is insane! I know plenty of people who eat in their cars--including me! Its usually b/c I have to make some calls, and why subject the entire restaurant to my conversations? I actually went to BK yesterday (lazy)--they have a veggie burger (Catholic) that is pretty good!

I am willing the Washooba to life. I have a ridiculous amount of :laundy: to do. I've been putting it off the better part of a week. Since I weeded out my closet, its so pretty, but there's no space for newly laundered materials. Ugh. I can't do it.

A Dishooba! That's on the list now. I don't even have a dishwasher---mine is called my two hands. I don't mind doing dishes so much, its the pots that kill me. It just dampens my mood looking at the pile of pots waiting to be washed. I try to cook as much via toaster over as possible, and leave the stovetop looking so pretty.

I'm off to stare at the piles of laundry and will the Washooba into existence.

Good for you for going back to school. I've been seriously contemplating going back myself... also for education. I can't decide if I would like to pursue Elementary Ed or Secondary English. I LOVE kids, but I love reading and writing as well. My Dramatic Lit classes in college were some of my favorites. I probably won't make it back for a while yet though... DH just recently started working on his degree, and I don't think we can handle 2 working-parent-college-student-tuition-paying-adults at once! :confused3 :)

Can we add a Fold-abra to the list? I don't mind doing laundry, but I never get around to folding it and putting it away. I feel like I'm back in college lately just picking clean clothes out of the clean laundry hamper until it dwindles enough that I'm not intimidated by the folding! :scared1: :laundy:

Dreamin' - What a dumb sign... 'nough said.

Magsnden - Have a great time!

I don't remember who let DD take a rest day, but I whole-heartedly support the decision! :woohoo: Kids need a break these days... they work too hard.

MIL agreed to babysit tonight, and DH wants to take me out for an early birthday. (My birthday actually falls ON Easter this year, so we'll be occupied that day.) It was kind of last minute, so we have no plans, and its been SOOOO long since we've had a "night on the town."

I can't even figure out what I want to do. I've been trying to check out any events in the Philadelphia area and suburbs, but so far I'm uninspired. What do you guys do when you get a free night out? :confused3

OMG!!! I think I forgot how to be an adult w/ free time!!! :scared1: :scared1:

Up early as well here. Same reason don't know why.:confused3

I woke up early this morning because my dogs started going crazy. Then there was the HUGEST bolt of lightening and thunder that shook our house like an earthquake. Couldn't go back to sleep so I got up and turned on the news. I was shocked to see all the destruction in Atlanta. The GA Dome is special to us. DH worked on that one. We are fine. Thanks for caring.
We don't live in the city. No bad weather here.:thumbsup2

Hard when the kids are so young too. I have put this off until my kids hit the teen years. I have always joked saying we would just all go to college together. I didn't realize that we actually might just do that. That would be wierd. I Love, Love, Love kids too. I am thinking about specializing in Special Ed. for Early Childhood. I have a big heart for the underdog.
Yay, for DH going back to school.

This reminds me of DH and I when the kids were little. We never knew what to do.
We usually ended up walking around the mall. Grabbin a bite to eat. And maybe catching a movie. When the weather was nice we would play putt-putt.
I'm sure you'll think of something. Happy early Birthday BTW.

Oooh, I could use one of them. We're lucky though...we have 2 dishwasher here me and DD. :rotfl: How much fun I would have cooking if I never had to do another dish. Sure would make DH happy too never to hear me complain about the dishes again. :rotfl:

Can't help you with this one. With 4 kids, I'm lucky I can even talk about adult subjects much less decide what to do on an adults-only night out. :lmao: I can't even remember the last time we ate a restaurant that doesn't have crayons and a menu to color. Whatever you decide will be wonderful. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

shmu-Glad you are ok and nice to see you back. Congrats on getting accepted into college. :cool1: I always wanted to go to college too but things just didn't work out that way. I've been a SAHM for 7 years and right about now, I'll be happy just to get back to working a little outside the home. Don't get me wrong, I've loved being home for them but soon they will all be in school. Good luck with college! And I can't wait to see the pics of the basement.

lighttech...early Happy Birthday to you! :flower3: I hope you have good weather to enjoy your holiday weekend (this goes out to everyone).

Perfect night for me would start with getting my hair done. Just washed and blowdried. It just feels so luxurious and I hardly ever get it done. It also puts me in a fantastic mood--a plus for the BF. Depending on the hour, we would either get something to eat or go to the movies, hopefully both. We'd end the night at a bookstore, getting coffee and browsing around. Maybe some cake, coz we love cake. Just spending time together, doing something mindless and completely at our own leisure.

Have fun tonight and enjoy your adults night out!

Dinner, a long one and drinks! Whatever you do enjoy! Happy Birthday:dance3: !

Thanks for the heads up about the recipes on-line. :thumbsup2 Going to check that out later today for next weeks dinner menu.

:thumbsup2 have fun, any questions PM me.

Shmu, glad to here that you and your family are fine, be careful as they are calling for more storms:eek:.

Shmu,
I hope ya'll are ok. Just saw the news.
I didn't send you seeds, would you like some too? PM me if you do.

I have kids coming over-we're heating the pool for Spring Break so I have a lot of volunteers.:goodvibes to collect and package seeds. Can you say child labor!:cool1:

Since we decided not to go anywhere we are spending the $$ on the gas to heat the pool. It works out about even!
I have moms and kids coming all week. The mom's are bringing the dinner and we are having the kids swim. DH has put a lock on the wine cellar! Last SB he was living in SanDiego and was sending home wines we couldn't get in TX-he collects wine. I took a picture of all my BFF's with the bottles in their hands and shopped straws into the bottles; then sent him the picture. He thought we'd cleaned him out.:rotfl:

Please let me know who has/hasn't gotten seeds so far. I was worried that I didn't put enough stamps on the envelope.

So Lighttech you're an Easter baby too.

So are DD and I (27thDD and 29th me) I was born on Good Friday:lmao: whodathunkit. Did you get dresses for your birthday when you were young? I always thought it blew to get new dresses for my bday since I was gonna get a new Easter dress anyways!

Congrats on college!:thumbsup2 Here is the best advice I got when getting my own teaching cert.- "don't turn your back on them paleface!":lmao:

For a birthday a year ago I took DH and had a spa day with him. It was fun.

More later!:flower3:

Thanks for the suggestions everyone (and the birthday wishes too.)

We actually have plans now and I'm so excited!! I just randomly called a friend of mine from college that moved to Allentown recently (about 1hr30min from us.) We've been trying to plan a get together for weeks. (I haven't seen her in about 2 years.) And, we've failed miserably. So, rather than try to find an event or concert or movie to attend, I just called her up and said "What are you doing? We have a babysitter."

We're going to meet 1/2 way and have dinner w/ her and her husband. Now I just need to find a good restaurant somewhere between West Chester, PA and Allentown, PA.

Anyone live near Boyertown, PA and have a favorite restaurant?
