It's not easy and every pound is a win!!!!! It's also not about pounds but inches. You may have lost X pounds, but have lost even more according to dress size.

I know I only have lost about 5 pounds but have lost a whole dress size this month by riding my bike, working with weights and walking.

I've also lost 6 pounds since mid January! I thought I'd mention it here as my Mom didn't care.

The PEEP WATCH thread is lots of fun but it isn't the same as hanging out here with everyone.

We had our first official bridal party meeting today. Believe it or not but everyone agreed on the dresses. I know it's really the bride's decision but she tried to find something for everyone. I spent most of the afternoon trying to broker the "ultimate peace agreement" between stepmom and SIL. They are both starting to softened up a little so maybe there is hope. Thankfully everyone agrees that a wedding is not a place for fighting.

Hey lighttech, sent you a pm. Wish I could have helped more but with it only being in it's 2nd year maybe it won't be sold out. Hope they still have tickets and you have a great time. And of course, leave it to a man to decide at the last minute. Post and let us know how it was. I love going to the one in Sept. and this sounds like it could be something nice to do in the winter.

Just on for a second, but I wanted to say Thanks again Dreamin'. We made it, and had a pretty nice time. It wasn't quite what I expected (not so many vendors/crafts, etc. But, it was nice if you go expecting just an indoor concert.) Unfortunately, we didn't stay very long, b/c FIL came down w/ the flu that's been going around right in the middle of the day. Poor guy felt bad making us leave and tried to convince us he'd be fine sleeping in the car for a while. He's a typical stubborn Scotsmen, so we let him do it for a little while and then convinced him that we had been planning on leaving early anyway. He was just sick enough to pretend that he believed us.

But, we all got in and got tix, and I'll give more details and a review later for anyone interested.

That's one of my favorite parts of going to the Celtic Classic here. And of course all the men in their kilts. Were there alot of men in kilts up there? That might enough of a reason to head on up next year. In case you can't tell, would love to hear a full report when you have time.

Morning to you VET! I've lost 7 since start of Jan and my mom says I should be loosing more since I have so much to loose. Mom's aren't always the support you expect. Fortunately, you and I have caring and supportive friends. Keep up the good work. I know I could have gained more than that in that time frame...that's the easy part. Loosing is hard but beneficial. Just pick up a 5lb bag of potatoes and be encouraged.

Had a very windy night. Blew our portable garage completely off our tent trailer. It's "protecting" the back fence. Can't find the steel cable that attached it to the ground bolts. Can't pick it up. We hope to roll it back into position. This could be interesting. I took pictures. Does anyone to see?

We're getting the storms today. Blowing in in front of that cold/cool front.
Gray and windy, the windows have fogged since the temps dropped about 20 degrees in 5 minutes.

BBQ what BBQ-the sponsors were LoneStar Beer and Jose Quervo.

The Cookoff was fun. The team entered ribs but that is a tough competition.

Also, hope everyone is mending. Unfortunately, I'm still on the getting worse side. DS had the flu last week, so I figured I was doomed. Apparently the shot I got doesn't cover the strain that's going around right now.

LOTS of men in kilts. Including a whole bagpipe brigade. DH, FIL and BIL all wore theirs. (DS has one, but for some reason cried when we put it on... no sense pushing it. He's 3. His wardrobe is one of the few things he has control over. I was a little dissappointed I didn't get to take a pic of DH and DS both in their kilts though... would've been cute.) I'm with you by the way. Men in kilts are just plain sexy. I was tempted to by a t-shirt I saw that read "Official Kilt Inspector."

As for vendors... really not much. 3 or 4 jewelry booths. Maybe 2 w/ handmade sweaters and a handful of cheesy t-shirt and hat booths. A couple of other things, woodworker, picture frame, stained glass. But, all told, probably only 10 booths total. But, the music was nice, and it was a nice winter day activity.

Casting Crowns is a Christian group (as in casting crowns before the Lord). The concert was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
