hey d&ddisney - can you tell us about your croc free zone banner? i'm guessing i can't have one since we have about 6 pairs in our house! my daughter and i have the same brown furry ones. sorry!

 I made it on the free banner site. I personally don't like the Croc shoes. Just can't get used to seeing plastic shoes on people's feet. Probably the only person on this thread though. :rotfl:

that's funny! i hear you, i resisted for a long time. my daughter had knock offs from the children's place over the summer ($7.50!), and then everyone else had them. she called them her crocs and when she grew out of them, i got her mary janes (it was also a potty training treat for when she finished - yay!). she was so proud to be able to put them on by herself. i had them for my son (croclings - so cute!) because i couldn't keep buying him stride rite sandals every month - he kept growing out of them, and they we a little big, so he had them the rest of the summer and beginning of the fall.

one day my mom called and said she was buying furry ones for her since it was getting cold, and she thought they were adorable. i just remembered my mother was the first adult i knew who had them!! they were called "cleo" and they looked nothing like the huge bulky ones. they are really cute! she wore them all around disney when we were there together in march. she finally convinced me that they are so comfy and i caved! i have mary janes (in addition to the furry ones) which i think are cute!

i agree with you that they are not the prettiest shoes!! but you should try them on - i have serious back problems and can't wear a lot of shoe types, but these really are comfortable!

that's another great thing about our thread, we don't always have to agree! lol!

I'm with you about Crocs. I don't care how shoes look, as long as they are comfortable BUT my feel sweat in those plastic flip flops. I cannot imagine them in Crocs. You can pm me the banner...I'll stand with you.

Yea, posting is taking forever. I have two open, so I can read one while I wait for the other to post...I really need to cure my sickness..lol. The DIS is so addicting!!! LOL.
How do you open two at once?

Hey everyone! I haven't been on here all day. Had a very bad day with DS and just decided to clean the whole house. Had to do something constructive for a change to work out all the frustrations. Then the younger kids and DH took over the computer so I was left out in the cold. :rotfl2: I gotta buy another computer for me just so I can DIS more often.

disney54us-our first full week of school is this week too. And then next weekend, they have another 4 day weekend for MLK Day. I can never get into the swing of things over the winter. In between long weekends and snow days, it seems like they never a get a full week of school in. I like to keep them all on a schedule but with all the days off, it's hard.

A beach vacation sure does sound nice but none for us this year. We usually go to Disney every year but since future stepmom and her kids have never been, we are trying to make this really great vacation. Most of her kids have never traveled anywhere except for the Jersey shore (and that was only once) so we really want to show them a good time. Maybe I can just crank up the heat, drink some pretty looking fruity drink, and put on the Beach Boys and pretend I'm at the beach. :rotfl:
What a great idea. :drinking1
My DH went back to work last week almost pouting (he had to work a whole 3 days.:lmao: )
My dog earns her keep by making me walk. If she wasn't here I wouldn't walk if it was 20, 30, 40, 50 degrees. I don't like walking that much. :rotfl:

Time to bump us back up. I found us on page 4 tonight and can't have that.

I have to agree about crocs being some on the ugliest shoes out there but they really are comfortable. We all have a pair in various styles except for DH who will not "wear those boats on his feet". :rotfl2: Which just means I have to listen to him complain about his feet while on vacation.

Hi dreamin in pa :hippie: I'm getting ready to sign off but had to check on this thread first. I was getting ready to bump and you beat me to it.:thumbsup2 I am ashamed to say I caved in on our last WDW trip and bought some Pirate Croc shoes.pirate: Up until that point, we were a big anti-Croc family. I actually had to ask "permission" from family to purchase them. They are comfortable. My feet were really hurting and I am glad I bought them. Well, I'm off. Trying to get back on a healthy schedule. Can't stay up late tonight. See everyone in the morning.

Good morning...I couldn't find us. :confused3 Need to bump us up!
Has anyone read the Who feels like a Thread-Killer? thread?

Good morning M&N.:hippie: No, I haven't read that thread. I have enough subscribed threads to keep up with as it is. Well, I'd like to stay a little longer but I'm off to take DD to her tutoring classes.

i haven't read it yet but i did see there are something like 3300 pages!!
but it is like 4 years old, so one day we'll be there too!

good morning everyone.

Good morning killers!

I've never read that thread either. I really need to be cleaning house, but of course I'm DISing instead. DS has his 1st birthday on Sat and I've got to get this place cleaned up before then.

Have a great day!

Good boy dreamin's DH!!!:thumbsup2 (Sorry I just had to say that.)

Ugh...comfort or not I still cannot wear bright plastic shoes in public. Maybe if I were pregnant, or couldn't wear any other type of shoe for medical reasons, then I might break down and wear a pair - but only to get around and then I'd take them off!!!

I mean no disrespect to anyone who wears them because a lot of people LOVE them. I however am not one of those people. I am a Croc snob! :snooty:
:lmao:

i just got some great news!!
it looks like i will be joining my husband in disney in about 2 weeks! he has to go for work for a few days and if i can get some babysitters, i will be there too! i'm so psyched. it will be sad for the kids that they won't be there, but i think i'll be ok. lol! i never thought we'd be able to go just us until they we're practically grown, so what a surprise. i was just saying on here that we need to get out more by ourselves and now this!

we'll have some frantic planning to do, but i don't mind, as long as i'm going. i'll keep you guys posted.

Oh get out! That is some great news. :woohoo: Who cares about the frantic planning. You're going to Disney with just hubby. I hope everything falls into place and you can go. I'm sure your kids will forgive you this once. :rotfl2:
