Good morning! Woke up to a dusting and I mean dusting of snow. Christmas decorations are up on the outside for the most part, still need 3 wreathes for the upstairs front windows. Since I can't see Disney decorated this year:sad2: at least I have my DDD lights! I might start setting up snow village today, we'll see for now:coffee:. Welcome back Magsden, it is the greatest time to go! very low crowds. Ebay update, 3 items not sold:sad2: 1 item sold (didn't expect it):yay: 1, about to end and sold. 2 not looking good and 1 has 5 bids! ends in 6hrs. MagiKitty you should look into staying onsite. People are surprised, that sometimes it can cost less or the same then staying right outside of Dis. I always tell people to check b/c Dis has something for everyones budget. I have question? I've seen mentioned a few times, free dining passes:confused3 . How do you get them? When are they offered?
DL55:rotfl2:. About the thread killer sig, how about I'm A Thread Killer AND PROUD:laughing:.

I'm still trying to figure out the free dining thing. Apparently, during certain times of year, if you stay onsite with a vacation package, they'll throw in free dining. Each person has to have a ticket, but the free dining includes one free CS meal, one snack and one TS meal perperson per day. But you don't have to use them each day, just at some point during your stay. That means you could do a day of all CS, or TS, or any combination.

This year, free dining was sometime in September, and those that participated were allowed advanced booking for 2008 for the same deal. It was called Bounce Back.

Earlier this year, the promo was available first to Disney Visa holders, then the general public in April.

I'm looking into getting the Disney Visa. I don't need another CC, but if it can get me some discounts at WDW, it my be worth it.

Maybe we can figure this out together??

PS--I just saw on another board a mouse ears wreath. I'm obsessed. Too bad its snowing outside or else I'd be in the craft aisle right now.

Thanks, for the info! Sounds like a good deal. Mouse Ears Wreath?? was it on the craft/scrapbooking board? DM had the Disney Visa, she cancelled when it got taken over by Chase interest changed. Hey if you could get some Dis pts why not. She only ended up w/ $37.00 Dis Dollars and it's not like it wasn't used:rotfl:.

Someone used in their siggy. I'm so jealous of it. Its available at Disney shopping, but the cost of S&H is nearly as much as the entire wreath! I want one so badly. Darn snow and ice!

Right now the Disney Visa is offering no interest for the first year, no annual fee, and 6 months no interest if you use the card to purchase vacation packages. BF and I seriously discussed it last night. It may be good considering we may be trippin to the World in a few months! I just hope they offer the same advantages that they offered last year to Visa holders.

(I posted another pic! I'm so proud of myself! Thanks everyone for helping me!)

My sister has that wreath it's cool. I'll see where she got it.

We have the disney visa and I think it's good. :thumbsup2 We got it last year for our first trip in June. And since it was the first time to sign up they gave us $50 of disney dollars right off that bat. :cool1: So that was a plus.  And now we have all our "normal" bills automatically charged to the cards and get the points for our trip. We have to pay them anyway so why not try to get something out of it?:confused3 I think its every $100 you spend up get 1 pont.

We had nasty snow/ice storm yesterday (of course right when we had my sons bday party). So I went out 3-4 times shoveling and salting had to go get another bag from home depot.:scared1: But it all worked out.

I LOVE THAT WREATH!! It's so pretty, that would make a pretty sig for X-mas. Alright, you convinced me anything that makes it 'happen' for another trip to Dis, works for me! Congratulations on the pic!:cheer2: One of these days, I'll get there! But, I learned to multi quote, so baby steps:laughing:

You go! Someone who makes there CC really work for them. :dance3:

Welcome back magsden! The sun is shinning here, rained Friday night. :cool2:
Love the wreath MagiKitty.

I was there in Sept, but not on the free dining plan. Didn't make up my mind and make my reservations until a day or two after they withdrew it. My Dad is in his last days and I was visiting him, so didn't realize the deadline. Any way, is that the only way you get it for 2008, if you had particiapted in 2007?:flower3:

I don't know how to do anything yet. Is there some place that tells how?
I , too, spend too much time on these boards trying to learn stuff and get answers. :rolleyes1

Here! We're kinda been helping each other figuring how to do things out...first it was getting the siggies, then posting pics, now we're working on trip reports. Its like DISing 101, step by step, together. I learned how to get a siggy and post pics, but haven't gotten the courage yet to mulit-quote.

We've all been scarred by not being answered on postings that's we've banded together. Just ask away, or scan the previous pages. We've covered some stuff on here. Or else just chime in with whatever's going on in your life. The more the merrier, everyone's welcome.

As I said, I'm still figuring out/hoping for the free dining. From what I've read, the free dining with stay option opened up in April. I think the Bounce Backers have first dibs, then the Visas, then the general public. APs should be in there somewhere. At least that's what I've kinda put together. I could be entirely wrong, it wouldn't be the first time. They have a forum for the Disney Dining, but I haven't found the stuff about how they got it. I may have to go back into the archived stuff, around the time when it was first offered. That's a lot of work though, I'm hoping to just stumble upon something. I'll let everyone know though.

It's cold and grey, sleet over and haven't gotten to the Snow Village:guilty:. Ebay update 4 items sold today:yay:. Speaking of learning I want to learn how to upload pic's. MagiKitty on the Wishes Cruise how do you do that if you don't have enough people? It sure sounds great, I would love to do it sometime. I think I'm going to start a count down til Wed. 12/5 Drs. appointment hopefully he will free my other foot:dance3 and I can start moving around better and DRIVE:cheer2: and drive some more just b/c I can. I hope I remember how!:rotfl:. I am so missing Dis, for those who were there or for those who aren't going this year there is a thread with great pic's of MVMCP 2 pictures of the castle are beautiful. It's call Castle Lights & MVMCP all new 2007 pictures.

How do you get your catagories, for lack of a better word? Mine says "Earning My Ears", which I guess catagorizes me as a newbie, which I am. Does it take a certain number of posts to get to the next step? What are the steps?

OMG this thread is AWESOME!!! I am totally a thread killer. The only thread I've ever seen go past a few responses is my TR, and even that is pretty lame compared to the other TRs I see.

wishicouldgomoreofte, I believe you are "Earning My Ears" until 75 posts, then you become a mouseketeer. Not sure when you become a 'Dis Veteran" but I imagine it's quite alot of posts!

OK, so I've read through here, tried to cut and paste the thread killer banner, and can't do it. Can one of my fellow thread killers please PM me the link or whatever I need? THANKS!

whgrn...I pm'd you the siggy. Or at least I think I did. Let me know how it goes. How did you post the link to your trip report? Can you teach me? I just started one and I'd like to put the link in there too.

wishicouldgomoreoften...post on here. It'll get your post number up real fast. I'm ashamed how often I'm on here, but its so much fun.

Re: the cruises. From what I've read, you can book a cruise 180 days in advance. There are different costs/types on the website, but most of them hold 10 people. You have to decide where to be picked up, if there's snacks, if there's music piped in, and whether you want to watch Wishes or Illuminations. Regardless of how many people you have, its the same price, so its more cost efficient to invite more people so you can split the costs. In my case, she booked the $300 cruise, so I paid $30/person plus tip for the captain. We had the piped in music and snacks, which we didn't finish and I got to bring back to our hotel.

Free disney54us's Foot! Its my new cause. Congrats on the Ebay.
