Blame my Sister, did you get hold of your sister and get any info on the wreath???? Cause we all really really like that wreath. Oh, is that the sister that you blame/:rotfl: Just wondering:goodvibes.

Not yet she is not on yet. But I'll give her a call soon. And yes she is the 1.

:welcome: to our new moderator kaylajr and :welcome: to everybody else who has just joined us.

It's almost 10:30 here and DH just got called into work a little bit ago. He's a commercial roofer and works in the Philly area (about an hour from here). With the bad weather up this way, I won't be going to sleep anytime soon.

Maybe I can go find some threads to kill  :rotfl:

Hey ya'll!

Gosh, ya'll have been busy last night. Hello and nice to meet you to Kayla!:)

I just earned my ears here a couple of days ago, so keep posting wish...

I have a Mickey and Minnie wreaths that a crafty friend helped me make a few yrs ago. I just bought 1 lg and 2 sm wreaths for each one, some sm ball ornaments and a bow for each. She used floral wire to attach the ears and hot glued the ornaments on like in the picture on here. Then she tied and glued on the bows. I used red ornaments and a plaid bow for Mickey and white ornaments with a red with white polka dots bow for Minnie. They are so cute, they're some of my favorite decorations.

Welcome to all the new folks!:yay:

Free the foot!!!!! Dec 5 is my wedding anniversary and I believe it's Walt Disney's birthday, so :goodvibes for that day.

Just checking in. It's really late and I need to get off the computer. It's raining in GA.:cool1: We need a lot. No time to catch up. Just wanted to say Hi.:hippie:

Hi everyone! Wow! Busy group- hard to keep up.

Snow! You "easterners" are really getting hit! We are having our first big storm tonight. It is really windy and supposed to snow, but I don't think it is, yet.

Moderator, Kayla, Welcome! we are officially a "live thread" I guess! :lmao:

Welcome to the newbies! We will talk to you! :thumbsup2

I have actually found some friends on a couple of threads, (hope I can stay), so if you have questions, I might know a few things I have picked up on!

TR - I know what you mean - I think the only peeps who read and commented on mine were a few who I had already been posting with. I thought I had a catchy title, thought it was a pretty good TR - descriptive, with emotion and cliff hangers - who knows? :confused3 Anyway, I had fun writing it, because it "planted" all of the memories for me.

Okay, better get to bed - please somebody post after me :rotfl2:

Good morning everyone, we're baaack!

First magical moment of the trip was departing a few minutes early. Landed in Orlando about 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Things kept rolling from there. Will have to work on a trip report eventually, but the first "Oh my gosh" moment was tasting the four cheese artichoke appetizer in Wolfgang Pucks. At that moment, my DH became truly a convert to the dining plan.

And, as we were riding the Magical Express back to the airport yesterday, he wanted to see my guidebook so that he could read the section on Disney Cruises (THANK YOU to the driver who parked the cruise line bus right in front of our resort!!!!!). :worship: :worship: I sense more trip planning in my future. Maybe not real soon, but soon!

Will check back later. It took me longer to catch up here than it did to read all of the snail mail and email combined!:surfweb: :surfweb:

Good Morning everyone, Dreamin in PA, that's a ride to philly that late and it was nasty last night. Blamemysister, you guys got hit hard w/ the snow, saw it on the news (yes, time to time I get off the boards and watch the news:happytv:) AUdisfan in case I forget on Wed. or just go driving and don't come back for a while:laughing:, wishing you a Happy Anniversary pixiedust:. Shmu glad to hear about the rain:woohoo: you need it bad. Everyone else have a good day, (like I'm not going to be on in a hour:rotfl:) Magikitty, are you at the craft store yet?:rotfl:.

Welcome Back Rochmom:goodvibe, It might be early but that appetizer sounds so good.:thumbsup2

Good Monday everyone! The snow had turned to rain, and it looks like it will be a better driving day. I have to go to the Post Office at lunch today (ugh), will steal over to the craft store (disney54us....this is for you) to try to figure out my new project, and get to the bank to pay for all of this!

:pixiedust: I was a bit angry at myself last week coz I lost my ebates check while running errands. I hate wasting money--it was easy $21! Then over the weekend, there was a knock on my door. It seems I had left the check at the local deli, and the owner gave my lost check to my neighbour who delivered it to me! What a pleasant surprise! (My BF is convinced I've gone over the deep end--I claim pixiedust for everything. My sunny disposition has magnified a thousand-fold due to holiday influences. It annoys him)

Now I have money for my Mickey wreath...thanks for the tips AUdisfan, I'm crafty when provoked, but was wondering just what to buy for this project and how to go about it.

So, having a moderator on your thread is a good thing? I kinda felt like the principal coming to visit...but welcome kaylajr! I second the question...how did you become a moderator?

WB Rochmom! We missed you! Tell us EVERYTHING! Who's heading down to the World next?

How nice about the rebate checks being returned:banana:. It always makes you feel the world is still good. My DM was at the casino's last week and drop her 'gambling' money envelope it had $190 she filled out a report but never thought it would be turned in. Sure enough the Casino called her that night, a employee found it on the floor pixiedust:. They could have easily kept it, it was cash, but they did the right thing. Those type of things especially around this time of the year are nice to hear:goodvibes. You know we want pic's of your wreath, maybe you can take pic's of each step and it can be MagiKitty's online Wreath making Class:laughing:. Very windy here and my Christmas greensw/lights just blew off, they are dangling and I can't go out there and get to them:scared1:.
Hope everyone has a productive day:)

hey everyone!
i just noticed that there have been almost 9900 views to our thread and only about 680 posts. weird. are people too afraid of us!?

i'm going through disney withdrawal, we have no plans right now to go back :( what am i going to do??

Hey y'all! I've been lurking in and out - trying to catch up with too many pages of new posts!!! Nothing too much new on this end, going a smidge-bit nuts with the Christmas season in full swing and all the nuts on the road:scared1: ! The kids and I are planning next year's jaunt down to the World and have decided to do another split stay, this time Pop (again) and the AKL. The more I read about the AKL the more I wish we were there already....:woohoo: anyhoo, now I gotta get a tripod because it's recommended for taking pictures of the animals. Enjoy the start of the Christmas season:santa: and one of these days I'll catch up with all the posts...thank GOD most of my shopping is done:banana:

I worked as a slot attendant. Don't forget the cameras.. they help keep employees honest. If an employee picks something of the floor he has to hold it up so the cameras can see it.
It is nice to hear it got returned. :goodvibes

Need to Vent!!! So the Dis boards think I'm under 13:rotfl2:, I can't upload gif's because of that. I tried to email them several times I don't have a direct link when you go into profile click (admin.) if are seeing this message and over 13. I used the address and emailed, finally I use DH's computer microsoft and email to no avail. I get the same reply. Send your message to this address if your problem is this and so on and so on! I love the one that tells me to go to the tech board ( I posted several times w/help for my DVC sig's, and they also made me feel I was a thread killer:rotfl:. No reply:confused3. I can't believe I can't get this taken care of!!! I want to upload my santa and reindeer!! As if I could, bu† I would try. Okay thanks, needed to get that off my chest, it's hard enough feeling like I'm in pre-school computers class but then emailing the address they tell you to and get a automated response which has nothing to do with your problems:sad2:.
Thanks for listening, be back on later!
Free my foot, and Dis Boards please let me upload gif's:dance3:.

I've got one.............How do you become a moderator?:confused3 Thanks.

To answer this question I went to an old thread of WebmasterKathy and took a quote from her in answer to that same question

Here is what she said

Periodically, we'll decide that we need additional moderators on a forum. When this happens, the existing moderators on that forum as well as the webmasters will look at posters who have been consistently involved, helpful and knowledgeable on that forum to identify potential moderators. The existing mods will then determine if they find any of these people to be good fits for their team, the webmasters will take a look at that person and their history, and that person might then receive an invitation to join the moderating team.

The key things we look for are posters who are consistently helpful, who are positive presences and respected by other posters, and who are very involved on the forum where we want to add someone

I think she said it better than I ever could:)

Cool! Thanks!:thumbsup2

Ok the wreath thing..... My sis bought that one you see from Disneyshopping.com (the shipping thing can be avoided if you get there codes for % off and free shipping and so on put in as many as you like) AND she got the one you do yourself off the boards here somewhere and had our mom do it who put lights and stuff on it. Looks cool.

And the final tally for my first expierience on ebay................................... 23 out of 26 items sold. Had a great weekend.:cool1:

Back real quick before dinner it out (I know late). Kayla is cool not like other mod's, well at least some of the threads or forum's I've been on. But we know :dance3: this is the greatest threat!!! Of course, in time I think she will find not much to moderate just a great thread to check in have fun and feel welcome:goodvibes. Gotta go I think dinner is burning!!!!!!!

Just checking in everyone. Boy is it cold and windy here. I hate this weather.

Our big family vacation just may be getting bigger. My dad just invited my brother, his wife and their son to join us. I'm thrilled that my brother might be joining us and my nephew but SIL is another story. I like my SIL but she is just not a "Disney" person, if you know what I mean. And when my nephew is with her, he just turns into a wild child. It's only been one day since the invite have been extended and I'm already have the nightmare about reading about ourselves on a "You Wouldn't Believe What I Saw At Disney" thread.

And it's just not me that has problems with her. My dad's fiancee and her kids have a problem with her too. Anybody have any ideas on how to keep the peace if they decide to join us? I already know the main rule of not spending every moment together but I know we have to spend some time together.

Oh boy, I would so not want to be in your shoes! Sorry, just being honest...

If Dad's fiancee and her kids have problems with her, then why on earth did he invite them??? Just wondering. Dads are SO clueless sometimes!

I would go ahead, make your plans, make sure everyone else in onboard, and then if she wants to make waves, let her go her own merry way! Definitely schedule time apart, for your own sanity if nothing else. Hey, maybe since she's not really a Disney person, they'll say no? You can always hope!! :rotfl: Good luck--I hope it works out OK. :goodvibes
