OK, its gotten worse outside...windy and rainy! The temps are supposed to drop below freezing, so tomorrow morning should be way fun!

Are we all packed yet? Are you really reall excited? Can you tell I'm living vicariously through you?

I'm waiting oh-so-patiently for my photopass group to get back from WDW so I can upload my pass photos...I have a shutterfly code that expires on the 30th that I don't think I'll be able to use! Darn it all!

Cyber Monday was not all it was hyped up to be...I did try to get some telephones for my parents for Christmas, but they were unavailable. I'm sure there'll be more sales in weeks to come. I did manage to score some cute 28" holiday child-decor (what do you call them?) half off. My cats are sure to think they're the enemy.

Mmm...chili. You make it from scratch? How long does that take? I've never tried.

Wvgoofyfan-wonderful news about ethan. I'll keep him and your family in my prayers.

Hope everyone who is going soon has wonderful weather and great times.

I'm counting down till thursday when my dad finally finds out when he gets his vacation next year. Back in September, he threw out the idea of a big family vacation next year. I usually start planning our next vacation the day we get home (got back the end of August) and waiting this long has been driving me crazy.

Good morning all! Its much warmer today, but still gray and misty. But hey, its not a blizzard, so I'm happy!

I think we're in the lull between people coming back from vacay and those getting ready to go. How exciting for everyone!

My BF is already asking when's the next trip. I'd like to try to go when there's free dining. Maybe fall of next year. But that seems so far away! Its funny, coz when we were there, he was trying to tell me we don't HAVE to go every year to WDW, maybe every three years. Then 30 minutes later he was saying "I can't wait to come back next year...". If we can still swing it, I'd like to go once a year, but you never know. Its always nice to think about though.

My nephew and niece FINALLY got there college applications in! I've been bugging them for a while about it, its getting late in the year. Their first choice is my alma mater--I'm so proud of them! I do hope they end up going there, it was a great experience for me and I think it'll be a good fit for them. I can't beleive they're going off to college next year! :scared1:

Have a good day all and looking forward to today's chat....

It is a bit quieter here. I think you're right about people on trips and getting ready for one. Just think of all the good stories we will hear from them. By the way where is your TR?

I am going back to college this summer. Going to finish out my Early Childhood Education degree. I spent yesterday getting two immunization shots. Tetnus and a second dose of MMR. Apparantly back in the day when I got my shots they only did one dose. I am mailing that paper in today. It's the last thing I have to mail in.

Good morning everyone, I see by the little green dots that several of you are still here this morning.

DH and I have all our clothes packed, I'm going to pack for the DDs this morning. Started working on the toiletries and realized I have to make a trip to the store for sample sizes of a few things to meet airline regulations. But never fear, I had "emergency trip to Wegmans" on my list of things to do today.

I used to think every three years or so was enough, but as I planned this trip, I keep thinking about the next one. Is that sick, or what? I don't think the DH will go for annual trips. Might have to convince him to let me go alone!

Good morning Rochmom. You were apparantly posting while I was. They came up at the same time. Never knew about the green dot. Cool. Learned something new. Hey, instead of going alone, what about a Thread Killers meeting? Something to think about. Well, I'm off. I need to go do Algebra with my DD. I'll check in later today.:hippie:

Oh, Algebra. Yeah, my DD13 thinks she's going to bring her Algebra books with her tomorrow.:rotfl2:

Ditto, those of us left behind we can just pretend, so share even the packing stories:rotfl:.

I do make it from scratch, it really doesn't take long once it's all together you just let it simmer. It was always my Halloween tradition, after the kids went Trick or Treating, everyone came back to my house for chili. Yesterday, was grey, raining and a chili day! If you want the recipe I'll pm it to you.

Hey I just figured out about the green dots the other day! Wew, I'll tell you my computer skills:woohoo: getting stronger every day:rotfl2:.

I have this terrible tendency to keep the computer on DISboards while I run around all day. My green dot must be tired.

Shmu...congrats on going back to school! And in early education, bless you. We always need amazine people out there with our little ones.

Rochmom...you're doing well on the packing! Ahh...Wegmans, we had one in Binghamton when I was in college. I would seriously consider moving further upstate just for that grocery. They're expanded them down to the DC area. I seriously make a pilgrimage several times a year. I love that place.

Disney54us....I am interested in the chili recipe. Thank you! I just hope its not too complicated...I'm more of a baker. But I'd love to give it a try.

Suffering from trip withdrawal. Per Shmu's request (thank you!) I've finally commited to a trip report. I'm going to need everyone's help in figuring out how to do all the neat computer-y things, like linking the report to my posts and how to put pics up. (Although I don't have enough pics yet, still waiting for my photoshare group).

My trip report is called "Even More Magik for Magikitty". I only have one post right now. But its remarkably exciting and fun! Please come visit!

Hey Magikitty, can't wait for your trip report. I've got to read some to see if I should do one, too.

Yeah, I love my Wegman's. Couldn't imagine living somewhere without one, and I don't even live near one of the really fancy ones. Who knew grocery stores had French pastry counters and wood fired bread ovens? But I got the travel size toiletries, so I can go finish the packing and write the notes excusing my kids from school tomorrow morning.:thumbsup2

Wow...such catching up to do...went from 33-40. And such great news about Ethan. He needs a LGMH in his baby book for his DISers prayers. His picture is so precious.
I simply cannot comment on all I missed but so glad I have more trip reports to get to. Also want to welcome new thread killers. Loved the comment about having the last word.
Looked for that lime green spotlight...:confused3 ...maybe a big one and 2 little ones for the ears...your own hidden Mickey on QVC???
I'm sure learning teckie stuff here too.
Gotta edit my siggie now and get rid of the turkeys...

Good for you! I've been threatening to go back for 3 years now, and I just can't work up the guts to do it. (I have a BA in Theatre Arts, and a good job, but as DS gets older, I'd love to work something more w/ his schedule. Also,I originally intended to double major, but didn't think I'd be doing either degree justice w/o focusing... they were the 2 highest credit requirement degrees at my school... plus so much extracurricular imp't for the tech theatre experience...) Some day I'll get my bum in gear.

Chili isn't hard... I'm no expert cook, and its one of the things I do really well. You can put almost any kind of leftover veggies into it too, its a great left-over killer. (I also LOVE my Wegmans to all the Weggies out there.)

And, Yeah! on the TR. The tech stuff isn't as hard as you'd think. I'm no computer genius, and mine is coming along fairly smoothly. It just takes time to do it justice, so I'm a little slow. (Oops, there's a good way to insult myself. :rotfl: )

Anyway, keep it up everyone! I so enjoy having a destination on this crazy internet highway.

Hey ya'll!

Just popping in to say hello! Hope everyone is having a good day. It's a beautiful 65 and sunny here in Alabama. DD is "helping" me decorate the tree. DS is seeing what he can get into. Things are a little nuts. As usual. Tonight we're going to the Advent Festival at our church. Should be a great kick off to the season and put us in the right frame of mind about Christmas.:goodvibes

Rochmom have a magical and a safe trip.

Have to go, now everyone is crying for one reason or another. Ah the joys of being a SAHM with 2 small children. Just kidding, I love 'em madly.

Quick check, need to bump. MagiKitty, check your pm for a cold weather meal. gotta go, but just needed to check in:goodvibes.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! Everything is packed, just one short trip to the post office in the morning and I'll be ready to head for the airport.

The weather here has turned very cold and windy, so all my local friends are very jealous. DDs actually did their homework ahead of schedule, too. Looks like the magic started a little early for me!

Have a great week - I expect this thread to be alive and well when I get back next week!

Hi Tker's!
Been super busy lately haven't been checking in as much as before. We're done xmas shopping, getting ready for my sons bday party on Sat, posted a ton of my old toys on Ebay and getting alot of bid+looks (first time) and starting to get a pretrip list of stuff to bring along up and going. We already have ordered our groceries and brainstorming on other stuff. Either the Dis or DVC site has a list you can print. Going to look for it later.

As for how many times a year......... We are going twice this year and the next and after that we'll probably slow it down cause our girl will be in first grade next year and they frown apon "unexcused absences"

I think it's a great excuse to miss school.

Time for bed nite all.
