Has anyone been to the "China-Free Christmas" thread yet?
At first I thought they were advocating eating on paper plates this year.

I actually clicked on that thread because I thought the same thing and I was curious as to why someone would be against using china dishes at Christmas!

(Say.... What do people in China call their good dishes??)

Heaven knows I don't let the DDs (13 and 11) handle the good stuff!

I just wanted to shout out - WAR EAGLE! - to you. My DH graduated from Auburn and his sister and her husband live there (he works for the university).

WAREAGLE!My DH went to AU also and that 's where we live. It's a great town. Sadly, I'm writing this late Sat night after our terrible loss to UGA. Ugh! That was just ugly. The worst part is my DB went to UGA so the rest of my family are UGA fans. Of course DB called to gloat as soon as the game was over. My DM called to "check up on" us b/c we've all been sick. Yeah right, I know why she really called! j/k Anyway, thanks for the shout out. Good to see another Alabamian on here.

btw, i have a new avatar! i'm impressed with myself that i could figure it out! i looked and looked all over my computer for a good picture of my 2 kids together, but of course, NOT A ONE! So that's my mission, when i'm in WDW i'm determined to get one of them.
Does this happen to everyone else - i can't get them to look at the camera at the same time, forget about smiling! imagine if i had more than 2!

Love the new avatar What a cutie.
I really enjoy seeing pictures of "dis friends" and their families.
I had to put DD in my signature with her favorite phrase. She smiles everytime she looks over my shoulder and see it on the boards. I have added her to "i spy" thread" and in other places too. That's what Moms do.
I feel ya' regarding getting pictures.
I have trouble getting just one to look into the camera-we are in the goofy phase of family photography-you are in the distracted/don't want to "look at Mommy" phase-it won't get better for awhile. I have so many picutures ruined with "bunny ears" and crossed eyes Thank goodness for digital-I'd hate to have had to pay to process 9/10ths of the shots I get.
I'm green that ya'll are going so soon. You can see we are way far out-but still excited. We are bringing BIL and family for their 1st trip. DD can't wait to "princess" her cousin(3). My DD is planning on taking her to BBB (and pay for it herself with her pet-sitting $) it will be a memorable trip. Hope I can get some decent pictures with 3.

Dear lord i am way ahead of myself then as i have another month to go and i`m already packing

With 4 kids i think it is a case of having to as i know if i don`t pack all the little things now i`ll forget.

I`ll be on the same mission as yourself Magsnden, I gotta try and get all 4 to look at the camera, at the same time and smile.................yea right i can see that happening

are we all going to the christmas parade on the 27th? i've never been, i'm really looking forward to it. i don't know if you all remember but we're going with my 2 kids and 6 nieces and nephews, so it's going to be so cool to watch them experience this. the snow and the parade and all.

we live on long island but we've never taken the kids to any of the parades in the city (manhattan), so this is the closest they'll be!!
JRabbit, do you live in manhattan? i see your avatar is kermit from the parade.

you're so right, bopsom, about the digital cameras! i even had to spring for one of those SLR cameras because after 2 cameras, i was still missing the photos i wanted! so this one is much faster and i have a LOT better pictures now.
i love the picture of your daughter on the tube! what a great shot!
