Morning TK'ers!!!! I'm back.
First, :welcome: TBDave.
Congrat's Magikitty on the free dining, way to go!!! Great ADR's, I love Le Cellier, and it's not as 'fancy' as you think. Great food (yes, I am a foodie), but not pretentious or to dressy, you may want to give it a try. For Hollywood Studio's and the night you go to fantasmic the Brown Derby is fun to try. Love the Cobb Salad they have outdoor seating (my favorite) nice atmosphere and again not to :rolleyes1. Have been to MNSSHP, go for it it's fun, don't forget to get your Halloween bag ready.
Lighttech, don't know if you figured out the swing set yet, DH put one up for DD oh about 15 years ago:laughing:. The one real important think is that the 'legs' of the set are set in cement. My neighbor didn't do it and when his kids were on theirs you could see the 'legs/post' move up from the ground. Good luck at the Y.
Glad magsnden check in, but seems she hasn't checked back:confused3, hope maggie is feeling better. Was wondering about whgrn also. Hope all is well with her too. Bopsmom hasn't been back either:confused3.
Lots to tell nothing interesting, just my week in review. Have to get busy though and get some stuff done.
Talk to you all later

Morning!!! Still warm here but very cloudy. Waiting for the rain. :guilty:

Hi disney54us!!!!

Thanks for the ratings for the tour books. I used one for my first cruise but Borders only had 1 to choose from so I didn't feel like I picked the wrong one. The Imagineering books sound interesting. Has anyone ever gotten into finding the Hidden Mickeys?
I felt a little obsessive about the cruise. Felt I was checking their forum every 2 hours---and they don't get that much action.
I never heard about trolling...except in fishing. :confused3 Guess I need to look at it.
BTW, I think wheelchair rentals are going up too.
Hoping the YMCA worked out ok.

We looked for some hidden mickey's last year. We found a few including a hidden jafar. DH thought DD and I were wacky looking for these until he found his first one. Then he started looking all the time. It was neat to see how some of them were really incorporated into the scenery. The book is pretty good. If I remember right, there are 2 sections of the book. One gives a general location of the hidden mickey's and the other gives more exact locations.

You did the Disney cruise? How was it? We are thinking of doing one next year. I know they have land and sea cruises and those seem like fun. But we are really just looking at just the sea cruises. There just doesn't seem to be as much info out on the cruises. Anything you could share would be great. :goodvibes

Before I go and post one of my unanswered threads, could I ask you all something. For our upcomming trip, we have been discussing driving down instead of flying. I really hate flying and with all the news I've been reading about the airline problems, it just makes it worse. So, has anybody ever rented a car to drive down to WDW? My family already has a van but we would have to rent another to fit everybody in. I figure it has to be cheaper than all the airline tickets we would have to buy.

I've driven several times and I'm the only driver. We leave around 4 am to get around DC ok. Really had no problems but traffic before Richmond can get slow too. I stop in Savannah around 5ish because I don't want to get too tired before I get there. I could check the driving time because I do write it down.
The cruise was wonderful. I only did the 3 night. Never cruised before and never really had the desire to but would love to go again. Of course it was cheaper for me because my friend works for Disney and as long as the cm goes, they can take friends at reduced rate. But we really had to wait to see what was available. The food was great, the shows were wonderful, and we were always doing something but there's things we didn't have time to do. We did see 2 movies we hadn't seen. There are times for pics with characters. You can use own camera too but ones they take are expensive. We went in Dec so decorations were beautiful. They had a snow machine when we got off at Castaway Cay. The food there was included too. There are activities for the kids by age groups. I did get info from cruise board when I asked...didn't kill any threads there. :)
Chat with you Monday...

Morning friends, cloudy yet warm over here.

dreamin...how many people would be driving down? We drove a few years ago, and honestly, it wasn't for me. My sister and I left at 5am and got as far as the SC/Ga border the first day. We stayed over and left after breakfast, and got to Orlando near lunch. We drove like madwomen. Driving back, we had two friends with us, and stopped twice, once in NC, and again in NJ, near Atlantic City. But I don't like being trapped in a car, I prefer being trapped in a plane!

I guess overall, if you're good with driving for long periods of time, or are going to take the time to see the sights as you go, it would be a nice turn. Driving down, we were very excited, and therefore very motivated. By the end of the week, no one had the energy to drive back. Lots of sleeping in the car.

With rental costs, gas, food, and lodging, you'd have to crunch the numbers. For me, its approximately 200/pp to fly, but we're only two. That's the same as a night's lodging each way and food, probably more for gas.

disney54us..I have a new scheme (God bless my BF and his patience!). I saw on another thread about paying for CRT out of pocket, coz it costs two TS credits, and using the two TS elsewhere. I am seriously thinking about Le Cellier, that is IF I can get a ressie. I was also thinking about the Brown Derby Fantasmic package, but with needing handicapped seating, I don't know if it would make much of a difference for us.

I am making a list of best desserts to try. That grapefruit cake is on my list!

BF is still iffy on the MNSSHP. I really (secretly) want to go. We'll have to see how much airfare will cost us. Of course, if we're going to pay OOP for CRT, it may knock out the party altogether. I need to find the extra funds somewhere, or work in BF.

M&N...did you figure out Trolling? From what I gather, its someone with low posts who deliberately provokes drama by posting something terrible or offensive. Yes, please tell us about your cruise. I've been wanting to do that, but am considering taking one that goes out of NY.

TBDave...,thanks for the heads up on the Amazon book sale! I was just thinking this am about pre-ordering a book that's coming out in a few weeks, so I'll be heading over there to look at guide books too!

I've never done the Hidden Mickey thing, but it sounds lots of fun.

Good day everyone! talk to you later!

M&N...where are you going this weekend? We'll miss you but enjoy whatever you're doing! Hope you have good weather and an even better time!

We drove down last year but we also went to Tampa for a few days to visit BIL. So it was a neccessity to have a vehicle. We didn'f find the drive to be bad either way. I've been crunching the numbers since I posted earlier. The flight prices I've seen so far are around 400 per person (Thanksgiving week). Yeah, I know, expensive time to fly but I really wanted to avoid taking the kids out of school for an entire week. I still want to see what prices Southwest and Allegiant comes out with. But with Southwest, we would have to drive to Philly and would have to pay parking fees. Allegiant only flies into Sanford airport and would have to pay transportation costs to WDW. Either way, there's so many extra costs we have to add in.

I did find a decent, IMO, price on a rental van for the time we would need it. Unlimited miles too. I don't know anymore. Now where's a smilie of me pulling out my hair. :lmao:

M&N-Thanks for the info on the cruise. You said you went in Dec....was it very warm down there at that time? The idea of being on the beach while it "snows" sounds funny. And of course cool too. That would make some great pics. :lmao: I like the idea that everything is included and I did check out the different activities for the kids. Since mine are such different ages, I'm sure they would love it. Guess it's time to start bugging DH about next years vacation. He was the one who said we should do something different. I just won't mention that it's a disney cruise until after it's booked. :rotfl2: :rolleyes1

Okay back!!! MagiKitty, Brown Derby would be so much fun!!! Try to go for it and Le Cellier. When we did fantastmic that's what we picked and we would always do LC with the candlelight procession.

Dreamin, flying V driving. Can't opin here since I just need to be there in 2+hours and can't thing of the drive for 4-5 of us, let alone 12. Now I do get a little (nervous during take off and the wings dropping or whatever they do), DH had flying lessons years ago and his Dad had a private lic. Not that I can read if something is wrong b/c he puts on that face and says it's fine:laughing:. I do love the whole airport / plane thing, guess it's one of those things that I always wanted to do and didn't work at the airport. Gas it really high to so you may want to take that into account and how it differs from state to state.

Okay back to last Fridays vent and week. here goes, just take a popcorn break b/c this will be boring.

Last Friday we had Sr's Julbilee school celebration, all went well she was surprised, she was off that week w/family visiting as far away as Malta. We knew she would come to Fri. morning mass b/c that was the mass the school kids were going to. What she didn't know was that the mass was to celebrate her 50th and we planned a school wide party down to the game show edition of her life. It was a fun day and we never expected the 'older' 8th graders to be so enthused. DS had a friend come over that day later after 1/2 day. So here comes the venting. We moved here in August 06, our neighborhood had no kids and we did not move far but it is worlds away. We move to a town and the joke is it is a modern day Mayberry. Where kids play, neighbors know each other etc. There are quite a few kids on this block. I realize they have known each other for years. When we moved here one of the boys across the street and another up[ the block game over to introduce themselves and see if DS could play mom actually made me a homemade pie to 'welcome' me to the block. It just seems it never stays that way. For a while they were fine and then they never bothered. I have a 17 yr old so I get how kids are. But recently, they have been coming over to see if he could ply/hang. Well last Friday night it was the boy across the streets Birthday, and he was having a huge sleepover blow out. It was a decent weather day so as everyone was getting dropped off and they were all across the st. playing skate boarding etc. I know DS who was playing a Xbox game could here it. Our dog makes a point to let us all know there are people on the street. It just broke my heart. That's why I had signed on and just said to him, hey what are you doing, let's go upstairs and watch the Suite Life. DH, I guess it's a man thing b/c he was so interested in what was going on and never thought that DS was in hearing distance and as a mom I don't really care that ____ is having a sleep over when my son was not included. The next morning they were all out and playing on the street, so even then he couldn't get away from it. Again DH as dog is barking say's Oh the boys are playing kick ball?? My reply, Shhhh, and I could care less what they are doing. I get strange look, and then reply do you see your son there? I don't really give a ---- wha† they are doing and could you please lower your voice thats why I have the door closed.Okay, got that off my chest! You can mess with me don't mess with my kids. The hard part is I'm friendly with the boys mom. I was gardening that morning and we exchanged hello's and she walked over to apoligize, how awkward she felt and she blamed herself that when he gave her the list that she didn't really look it over and question why DS wasn't on it etc. I don't blame her, yes they don't go to the same school so DS is not in the moment of time. When the need a extra play and remote for Halo he is though:rolleyes1. At the same time I wouldn't want this kid to feel he had to invite DS, b/c that would have never worked and DS would have been a 'outsider'. It's just hard when we had one of those few nice weather days last Fri. and 10-15 kids all over your street your sons same age and to see him not included and sitting home playing a game.
That was part one:of weekend from _?

Ooooh did the cruise!!! twice. Before that we had never been on a cruise. Sorta sad my Dad was a Chef engineer on ships, so even though I've been on ships never cruised:confused3. Loved it , so ask away. It is a different experience, but cool. For some they go all the time. We did the DVC member cruise they were two years apart. I know they had one the year in between, but for us I want that to remain 'special' and I love it when we are on it at the same time I would rather do the world in the year in between.

disney54us-I know exactly where you are coming from with the situation with you DS. I'm ticked off just hearing about it. I know they are just kids but yet you can't go around treating somebody that they are only good enough to be your friend at certan times. We dealt with that type of thing for a while here too. She would come over to play with my girls alot but then some of her friends moved closer. So she would only play with my kids when her friends were busy. I didn't like that but my kids liked her so I let it go. It ended up getting to the point that she wouldn't even say hi to my kids if her friends were around. That's when I put a stop to her playing with my kids. She couldn't say hi to them but if she was bored, then she could bother with them. Sorry, it just don't work that way. It was a hard lesson for them to learn but now they don't pay any attention to her at all.

Did your DS say anything about what was going on? And is your DS natually shy? I know you've been there over a year already but maybe the other kids don't quite know what to make of him? Like you said, they have all known each other forever. They probably know all each other likes and dislikes. The obviously know your DS likes video games and ask to play that with him. Have they asked him to do anything else? Just trying to get the whole picture of what is going on. Just a couple of the questions going through my mind...that's all. I know you're venting and have every reason to be upset. You never want to see your own child excluded from anything like this. to you and DS.

And for DH, he gets one of these...

Hoping the YMCA worked out ok.

We LOVE looking for the HMs. We're normally park commandos, but took things a LOT slower this time since we had a 2 1/2 yr old with us. It made the strolling around the park a lot more fun. If DS fell asleep in his stroller, we'd just wander and look for some of the stuff we'd read about here, or look for HMs.

On the Families board there's a ton of stroller discussions. I opted to bring. I actually purchased a new stroller just for the trip. (Figured I could do that just as cost effectively as renting for a few days.) For me, it was invaluable. DS was comfortable in it and would sleep. It had a snack tray in case we didn't want to stop for food when he did, and he could stay in it while we waited for buses instead of having to carry him all over the TTC. I looked around for sales and bought a Jeep Cherokee from Walmart. It pushed well through the parks and folded compactly for the bus rides. Had enough storage for diaper bag, water, snacks, etc. and we used the option of sending any packages back to our hotel since we stayed onsite.

Hi M&N!

lighttech, it was me who was asking about handicapped access. The hills and steep climbs were the problems we had at Busch Gardens. I may have to rethink it. But for a smaller park, BF may just use his crutches and we'll just take it slow. And GOOD LUCK with the YMCA!

If you do decide to go the crutches route, Hershey is a beautiful walking park. So, as long as you were willing to take it slow, it could make for a nice day. There's a lot of trees and a big creek with ducks and geese to walk along. Its one of the reasons I really like the park. Also, there's lots of tables and picnic areas to take a break at (and plenty of yummy snacks to enjoy while doing so! ;) )

Disney54us - So sorry about DS and the party. That just stinks. (sigh) I forget how hard it is to be a teenager sometimes.

Everybody - Thanks for the well wishes. I think I've settled on the daycare. I didn't have the "hallelujah!" moment I was hoping for, but I've realized I don't think I ever will. No one will do it the way I would (and I've come to terms w/ the fact that I'm just going to be a bit unfair to anyone b/c what I'd really rather do is stay home.) But, I felt comfortable, and the staff was nice and the activities were great. I feel super confident about DS going there. I know he wants to be with other kids and he'll LOVE all the neat stuff they do like cooking and swimming. I'm a little less comfortable about New Baby. But, I keep reminding myself that I was hopelessly undone and stressed when DS first went to a caregiver too, and I got over it soon enough when I realized he was fine. I don't want to make this choice on my own though (as much as DH would like me to :rolleyes1 ). So, I asked him to stop by during the day next week to visit before we make a final call. I think I may still keep looking around, but I do feel VERY relieved that I've got some sort of plan in the works.

Thanks so much again for all the support!!! I don't think I could have kept my sanity trying to do this w/o somewhere to come and get it all off my chest. (Or else, I would have had a great daycare, but a divorce to deal with too! )

Hello everyone! I hope it is shaping up to be a good weekend....

disney54us...I'm sorry about last weekend's incident. Its so difficult, intricate, and complicated to be a young person these days. You're a fantastic Mom for understanding the situation and trying to make it as easy to deal with as possible for DS. Just treat it as a learning experince. Life isn't always great, but try to find a way to rise above it all and to respect yourself and others.

lighttech--congrats on the daycare situation! It is a harrowing experience, you are trusting your most precious possessions to someone else! But just be vigilant with your DS's feelings and development. Just make sure he's safe and happy. That's the most important thing.

I decided just to pay for CRT and get my two TS credits back. I tried for Le Cellier, and will continue to try for months, but I got a 7:30 Rose and Crown (let's hope for patio seating! :thumbsup2 ) and Liberty Tree Tavern dinner for our last day at MK. BF is really tired of listening to my concerns. He just knows we're going to eat and that's just fine for him. We officially nixed MNSSHP (for now anyway). There's three parties while we're there, so we have some options.

I wish I enjoyed working out in the yard. The answer is no. I just spent most of morning cleaning up the front yard, and boy am I not in a good mood. It was too windy to try to get anything done, I kept trying to put stuff into the barrel and wound up wearing most of it. I do have some cute crocuses out. I'm going to try to bribe my nephew to help me out.

I'm going to play on here for a while. It alway lightens my mood. Talk to ya later everyone!

Bummer - I just quoted you and replied, and it went away!

Ummmm... well, here's what I remember that I said....

I don't know what CRT is.
LTT is great. We did that when we went in November, and had a really great meal. We actually finished up right before Wishes, and wound up walking outside to a suprise great view of about 1/2 the show... its not like seeing it in front of the castle, but we were going to see it later at MVMCP anyway.

I'm a big fan of the Sci Fi diner at MGM... but I've heard Brown Derby is good too. Oh, and there's a little coffee shop around the corner from the movie lot... can't remember what the name is, but if you are walking back from Muppets 3D towards SciFi diner, you'll pass it on the left. If you do, stop in to kill a few snack credits if you have extras. They have fabulous giant cookies.

We used most of our TSs for character meals since we had DS this time and it was such a great way to see all of his favorite characters and not spend half our day waiting in line. We made ressies at Crystal Palace b/c he loves Winnie the Pooh and they do a Pooh and friends lunch buffet and were SO suprised at the quality of the food. It was one of our best meals and I highly recommend it. (Admittedly, DH and I love the character meals too, so that's a perk for us.)

If you are at DTT, I recommend Raglan's. Its an Irish pub and the food was amazing. We ate outside on the Patio to save on our wait time (it was our arrival day, and DS [and us] really needed to get back to the hotel for some sleep), but inside they had great live music and a really cool atmosphere. The food was fantastic and the service was great too. Even DSs mac and cheese off the kids menu was really good. If you need a snack while wandering DTD, check out Bongo's... its near the House of Blues. Here's an excerpt from my TR (which I so need to finish... some day)

"We then headed to DTD. Stopped at House of Blues for a "Mommy and Daddy drink" and to meet an old friend. It was SO good to see him. Parts of the art festival were there, and there was live music, so we sat outside and DS had a blast. I was starving, but it was too early for dinner. I accosted a kid next to us who had the most delicious looking food. He rec'd the empanadas from Bongos, and I do TOO! YUM.

Tip: The line is long at Bongos window service, but its SO worth it. All the food was delicious, and the empanadas are only $1.25 each and the ham croquettes are only 75cents each! Such a deal.

"

We had our TSs well under control before we headed down, but we left our CS credits up to whatever we were walking by at the time... (I know you can't make ressies anyway, but some people plan where they want to go.) But, we had great CS meals at the Land Pavillion in Epcot. Also, if you are celebrating anything while there, make sure to where your pins. We were celebrating our Anniversary (late, but the trip was our gift to each other) and DSs "first trip" and we all got free cookies which we saved for a late afternoon snack.

OK, gotta get back to work, but I wanted to try and repost before I forgot waht I wrote at lunch...

 Hey there lighttech...how are you feeling these days?

I heard so much good stuff about Raglan! I'm going to have to check it out. We get in late afternoon, so we're going to go to DTD. BF has his heart on Earl of Sandwich, but maybe I'll try to get him to change his mind! If not, I'm going after those empanadas...those are so good!

CRT is Cinderella's Royal Table, in the castle. BF doesn't beleive you can actually go into the castle.

Eating at Hollywood Studios has been a problem for us. We decided for a big late Boma breakfast before hitting the park. BF liked Pizza Planet well enough. I can handle that well enough, esp if there's cookies and coffee nearby. Thanks for letting me know about that. I"m always on the lookout for coffee...

there's a best milkshake and best dessert thread on the restaurant board that I'm following very very closely...

 Hey there lighttech...how are you feeling these days?
there's a best milkshake and best dessert thread on the restaurant board that I'm following very very closely...

Of course, I should have thought of CRT. Thanks!
Oooo... that thread sounds delectable! Wish I had seen that before our trip!

Thanks for asking, I'm feeling well actually. I had a rough bout w/ the nausea and fatigue in my first trimester, but second trimester has been good to me so far. (knock wood and all such silly superstitions) And, I know it wasn't as bad as some stories I've heard, so I can't complain. My job is pretty physical, so that keeps me in shape and on the ball, although, by the end of the day I'm pretty beat what with the extra weight I'm carrying and my new belly thrust out/back curved posture and all... but nothing that isn't falling into the normal expectations. Mostly, it just keeps me busy fending off the well meaning people who freak out when they see me pick up something heavy (I keep repeating "Trust me! I've been over this w/ my doc and of all people, I certainly am not going to anything that could be a danger to me or my child!") But, I know their hearts are in the right place... I just wish I could explain it to all of them at once instead of to 6 different people a day.

Hey everyone!!! Just popping in to say hello. I will catch up tomorrow. Logged on just to say hi. Same old, same old here. Spent the day at DS double header. He closed the second game and did awesome. :lovestruc .

Anyway, I will go play catch up tomorrow. I have to go pick DD up from her friends house then I am off to beddie bye.

And for DH, he gets one of these...

:scared1: Kids aren't they great??? No, not really. I get why your asking, trying to get backround. He is basically all around kid. How could a collicly infant be shy:rotfl:. He is a smart kid but not nerdy he skateboardsm bike rides. DD's BF does bmx so of course he thinks he can try all those cool tricks. So, I get the questions but they didn't know he got xbox for x-mas, they just show up out of the blue. It sucks to pu† it quite blunt, yeah he is not a stupid kid, but I think holds it in. So he didn't 'complain' about it but I could tell he knew. Ahhhhh, girls so much for them be made of sugar!!!! Not in these days.

I'd say hi everyone but you all are probably asleep my now. Just one of my lonely late nights after the kids have gone to sleep and I can get some quiet to be on here. Spent most of the day getting DD packed and going over a few things with her. Warning!!! Too much info to follow. I had to sit down with her and go over the woman talk with her again. It's been done in school and at home but she has to be ready in case she is not home. She has tons of samples and such so she is prepared. It was one thing having the talk and knowing that she would be home in case she got a little freaked. I know it's unlikely that it will happen but really you never know. I just always thought she would be home for this. I guess this whole trip has been a big old slap upside the head for me. My girl is growing up. :scared1: Gosh, I feel so old.

lighttech-Congrats that the daycare situation is falling into place. Does this mean I can uncross my fingers because they are staring to hurt. :rotfl2:  So, is the YMCA that you decided on? I don't have much experience with daycares...actually no experience but I count my blessings everyday that I could stay home with them for the last couple of years. The cooking and swimming part of DS's day sounds wonderful. I'm sure everything will be fine and both your children will do wonderfully there. I remember all those well-meaning people when I was pregnant with 1st DD. I worked in a produce store and they all acted like they have never been around a pregnant woman before. All I wanted was to be left to my work so I could get the heck out of there and off my feet. Glad the morning sickness is over for you. That has to be the worst part of pregnancy. Had it really bad with all 3 girls. Hope all continues to go well.

MagiKitty-On Hershey Park, now that I have really thought about it, it is very hilly in certain parts. Most of it is very managable but there are 2 sections of the park that have very steep hills. If I remember correctly, and maybe M&N can help here, but they could be avoided without missing much of the park. If you would download the map, I think it would be going to Comet Hollow and part of Pioneer Frontier. If you look at the map, the will list the parts that are steep. You would avoid those areas with a little bit of easy walking. And it really is a fantastic park. Lots to do for everybody. And I love Chocolate World. We always go around lunch time instead of first thing in the morning. Less crowds and a needed break from the heat. You sound like me with the dining ressies. I know I have a while to decide but I keep changing where to eat. :rotfl: I know we want to try to get CRT for breakfast and we are going to do Olivia's for Thanksgiving. But we are going to be there for at least 9 days and want to do at least one more TS meal. Of course there are so many places I want to try. Sci-Fi at DHS looks like lots of fun for the kids. Would love to do Chef Mickey's before we leave. Love Mexican food so maybe the restaurant in Mexico. OMG, someone please help me. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Hey disney54us...missed you around here. :goodvibes I wans't trying to say DS was nerdy or anything. Some kids just love video games...nothing wrong with that anyway. Other love being outdoors. And some are just a mix of all that. And I kinda see not inviting him to the sleepover if he isn't really close to them but when they were all outside just playing kickball (is that what you said?) they really could have popped in and said "you wanna play" But sometimes kids just don't realize what they are doing is hurtful. And we, as moms, see it right away. I truly am sorry for what happened to DS. I've been in that spot before and it really is no fun. And what do you mean Ahhhhh, girls so much for them be made of sugar!!!! Not in these days. DD is 12....what kind of horror stories do I have to look forward to?

Hi everyone! Seems like all the TKers are out enjoying their Sunday!

I havent' been sleeping well all this week. When I awoke at 2am this morning, I realized I'd been dreaming about eating at Disney. This is really becoming a problem.

Went to early Mass and there were barely 2 dozen people there. I wonder if my priest takes it personally that everyone show up to the rafters on the major holidays and is only ho-hum every other Sunday. I don't mind though, I like having my favorite spot right near the stained glass windows. I do wish, however, they'd switch to more familiar hymns. I didn' know any of the four today and felt bad.

The Pope is coming to NYC next weekend and so am I! I've been so obsessed with this FD stuff that I forgot about my weekend at the Comic Convention! Our party is bigger this time--three friends from DC, my sister and her boyfriend, and my nephew and I. I'm not really a comic fan, but definitely a sci-fi fiend! We also have tickets to see the Kids in the Hall at the Nokia theater on Saturday night. Now I just dread the traffic, I wonder if they're going to portion off some streets for His Holiness?

Its a beautiful sunny but chilly day. Glad I tried to work outside yesterday. Barely pushing 40 and there were snow predictions for this morning. What a strange season its been.

I can't speak from experience, I only have nieces, nephews, and cats, but what I noticed is that the girls had drama earlier, the boys later. The girls tended to fight quick and forgive, the boys had a slow simmer with long term repercussions. I guess its a just a sad part of life that kids go through these experiences. But it does shape who they are and what they will become. Its just a little painful along the way for all involved. :grouphug: to all of you raising little people.

Including you too lighttech! Glad to hear that the morning sickness is done. Let everyone coo over you a bit; its your time to shine. Too soon they'll be cooing over the new baby!!

No, problem don't worry.:goodvibes I realize you were trying to get backround. Again, its how it comes and goes. They can show up day after day to see if DS can come out and play and then it stops, then out of the blue it starts again. The one boy has even slept over. I just feel that either your friends or your not. Don't start a friendship and then ignore a kid then go back to being friends etc. I realize that kids get into 'fights' and get mad. This is not the case though. So I would rather they are not friends and DS can get use to that or they are. Not this back and forth. Problem is the nice weather is coming so when you hear kids back and forth on the block playing and your not 'included' it kinda sucks. Not even going there about preteen/teen girls:scared1: But I'm here for ya kid:thumbsup2.
Wow DD is leaving for the 'World'!!! Exciting and scary for you at the same time. What a great opportunity though.
I know I haven't been around lately, after getting caught up in to many years of paper files and crawling out then it was onto the garage. Town Yard Sale next Sat. They do it every spring and fall. So it was time to go through and start getting rid of stuff. Speaking of papers why would I have a whole storage tote of DD's work from 1st grade??? I have no clue what I was thinking? We have gotten rid of so much but so much more to do!!! Threw some stuff on ebay and also DH painted the dinning room. Did a lot of yard work clean up stuff. Thankful that we have gotten some days (hours I should say) of weather that we could get started with that.
I noticed the killers have been very quiet:confused3. Though it may be good for me, less to catch up on. I am concerned where everyone went??? Maybe everyone is getting into the 'Spring cleanup'. Magsnden, hasn't checked back in, nor bopsmom and whgrn and many more. We may have to put out a SOS for them.
Magikitty, since your dreamin about Disney Dining, go on the recipe thread I go on and while you wait for the trip you can whip a few things up:goodvibes.
Lighttech, seems like all is falling into place with the child care issues. I think every school should have cooking classes:goodvibes. Funny, these days MS and HS if they do offer it tend to look down on it. Well I think a basic home ec and Accounting 101 should be required. We are sending kids off to college who can't boil water, don't know how to endorse a check or fill out a deposit slip. Then have no clue about interest rates and how credit cards really work. Basically they have no 'life' skills.
Okay since I can't change the world or HS mandates, I will go pay some bills and maybe do:laundy: :scared1:.
Later Killers!!!
