thread answers ?s

What do you think makes some threads get tons of answers and others very few, (other than subject )?

I have had both kinds and just wondered about others perspectives on the subject.

post killer = someone that has the last post on a thread before it sinks to the bottom & it's happened quite a few times.

Saw that thread after I read your reply. Funny Thread... I share in this affliction as well. Actually sometimes I can't even get them started (ie my thread on favorite rides in the parks that as of now 10 people have read but no replies) LOL

DNS, I've seen all kinds of posts go answered WAY over what I expected and, posts that would seem 'popular' go unnoticed (including my own) but, there's also the widely popular 'never-figured it would take flight' thread! All depends on the content, I think and, what people feel like responding to that day.

Hit or Miss on any given day!

Sometimes very hit or miss....and with Kim and Me running rampant over the CB at night, no thread is safe from a swift kill...LOL.

I have noticed that too. Some post that don't really catch my eye catches everyone else's it seems .
At times I have wondered if there is a hidden black list of posters that few know about or something LOL

You know what gets me about the some post live some post die thing. It is that someone can put up a post and get one or two answers and then the next day someone else put up almost the same post and get pages..............

What is with that LOL

Not sure really....might depend on whether or not one poster is better known than the other or it might just be that people are fickle. I know I'm fickle. (And I have the strange feeling that when I come back to DIS tomorrow night the words "I'm fickle" will be in my tag...LOL) Time for me to call it a night! HAGO

I totally understand what you're saying! I see the same thing! MAYBE it's the longer, more explanatory post VS. the idea-starter?? In lots of cases, the secondary poster will acknowledge the 'thinker/backer' of the ORIGINAL thought but, sometimes not. You can kinda see the development of a thought sometimes, just by what someone posts/starts. Again, I think A LOT depends on the replier's mood, at the time. I KNOW it's been affecting me lately.
