Please tell me about this community, distance to parks, cleanliness etc.

I have the opportunity to rent a deluxe lakefront home here with private playground, bicylcles and fishing deck. I am thinking :-is this better than staying onsite universal at PBH for the non Disney part ? Help ! The home is beautiful and has above amenities but does that compensate for FOTL privileges ?

I think I have looked online at that home, using the website orlandovillas.com, and it is gorgeous, if it is Huckleberry House. You might want to check in at the forums over there as well, which are full of owners (including the owner of that house if it is the one I am thinking of; if it is she seems super friendly and helpful on that board) and renters. The reason I never personally pursued it was (a) price -- too high IMHO, and (b) location -- too far out for us. We have stayed at the Hard Rock in 2004 and nothing beats FOTL. Personally, I would rather stay onsite at USO and in a pool home while at WDW (having done both). But I am all for the pool home experience and we are staying in one for 11 nights in May. We will do 3 days at USO and 7 days at WDW. We did this last year staying in the same area (Emerald Island) and it worked out great. Good luck!
