Thoughts on Whispering Canyon on Day-1 from AK...

Hi Y'all....


Just wondering what your thoughts are on the
Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner (for mom/dad/
14/16 year old girls)...

We do NOT mind loud scenes mind you.

* How is the food and is this a worthwhile place
to spend 1 unit on the Disney plan?

* Is the Skillet option the way to go w/ the dining plan?

* How do you get to the WL from AK, from bus I assume.

* How often do bus' go from WL to AK and vice-versa.



PS --> Is it true you get bottom-less shakes here? This
could be dangerous

While I enjoy having breakfast at WC, I won't bother going back for dinner. Too many times our server just hasn't been "into" it at dinner. The food is OK, but you can get the same type of food at Trail's End for a lower price.

You definately can get bottomless shakes here. Be warned, they are highly addictive. The rest of the food is also good but we normally don't do the skillet because we want as many milkshakes as we can drink.

We will be returning here for dinner on our arrival day. The family outvoted me and decided the bottomless shakes were it! We didn't have a server who was "into it" the last time, but that was ok as both DSs were tired and I don't think would have enjoyed it as much. We all enjoyed the skillet and that is what they are wanting again. (can never get them to try something new) But, yes, we think it is worth using 1 TS credit for. As far as transportation, yes take the bus from AK to WL, but if you do not need to return to AK you can take a bus to DTD and then hop one to your resort. You didn't mention where you were staying. The vice versa option would work as well, depending on what time your dinner was and what time AK closes.
