I have reservations for Tiffins dinner at 5:40. I've read so many good things about the restaurant but now contemplating whether it's a good choice for my 5 year old DD. Do many parents take there kids here? I'm staying at the AKL so should I just book something like jiko (we are doing boma another day)? or maybe tusker house would be a better alternative (although we are doing 3 other character meals). Please let me know your opinions on Tiffins with the younger whipper snappers. TIA!

A lot depends on your child. Tiffins would be fine for a child that can sit quietly for the duration of the meal and is open to new foods. The restaurant was one of the quietest restaurants that we've been to on site. When our DD was that age, she would have been fine. Her cousins, definitely not.

We've taken our son, at four and five to fine dining at that hour around Disney. What I learned is that, yes, kids who can sit for awhile do better. However, the waitstaff is ready for kids, particularly at the 5PM hour, and the children's menu is "normal" in my son's words but is plated nicely. I also mitigate the circumstances with Lego poly packs; new Lego usually cures all ills!! I've also been known to stash a Smuckers Uncrustable in my purse to smooth things over.

It is quiet but I would not concern my self wi that. Go and enjoy.
