Thoughts on these restaurants ?

Flying fish (which is delicious) but it is not open on Monday (or Tuesday) so you’ll need to move things around if you want to go there.

It’s odd, because the app shows available hours all week...and I tested a Monday and Tuesday as well. Maybe they changed ?

Yes! Last time I was there the lunch menu was the same as dinner. Only time menu changes is brunch (which is sat sun????). My go to is the paella!

I love paella, but the only one they have is for seafood, and with heads on shrimp and calamari, that’s definitely not for me, lol

On the app, there’s no menu for Brunch...I love a good brunch, but if they do have one, I hope it’s not on Saturday!

All of your choices for Mon - on are some of our favorites with the exception of Jiko only because we've never been. It's on our bucket list, though, for sure!

As for your choices for Sunday - we love Jaleo. The food and service are wonderful and it's just a different type of experience. But if you want to just sit back and have a grand, old time Raglan Road is hard to beat. I will warn you though, that many tables either have a very poor view of the stage or none at all. Keep that in mind. The only one of your choices I'd not recommend was Sebastian's Bistro. We ate there for the first time last month and while it was fine, we were not overly impressed and have no plans to go back.

I think Raglan is probably going to have to wait for next time, but honestly, I’m forever fidgeting with my restaurant plans, especially when I have this much time in my hands, lol. If I decide I don’t need dinner as well as lunch at Steakhouse 71, I‘d replace it with RR...but I really want that prime rib and Yorkshire pudding !

Sebastian’s is off the list this time - maybe or maybe not on, next time.

I know they rotate through several different kinds. Just listen for the bell and ask what paella is on deck

So, for my April 30-May 5 trip, this is my very tentative itinerary :

Sunday - arrival day
M: Flying Fish
T: Steakhouse 71
W: Three Bridges
Th: Jiko
F: Homecoming

I may adjust because T, W and Th dinners look to be all steak/burgers/meat, and that’s a bit much even for me. I’m also thinking of doing 71 as a lunch on my MK day as a nice way of taking a park break...though I may also still do dinner.

My options for Sunday will be limited to non-park restaurants as my AP is for weekday only. I love idea of having dinner in DS, but

Jaleo - I LOVE tapas
Sebastian‘s Bistro - I wanted to try this in November (but I’m just solo for most of my dinners, so not sure if this would be way too much food?
Citricos - menu looks interesting, lovely atmosphere,
Raglan Road - it’s fun. I cancelled my reservations for my November arrival date due to mixed reviews. It still sounds very appealing, but I could have a similar meal at Rose & Crown
Trattoria al Forno - I normally do not (especially when I lived in NY) do Italian on vacation, but I feel like I’m going to need a pasta fix, lol


Thoughts? If I just do SH 71 for lunch, then I’ll have an extra dinner. However, I’m torn - the lunch menu sounds amazing, and I’ve been craving the prime rib and Yorkshire pudding for weeks.

Raglan Road was always one of my favorites at DS. But the last time I went (March ‘21) I was disappointed by the food quality. The last time I was at DS (August ‘22), we chose Cookes of Dublin instead for some fish and chips. I was very happy with that.

Thanks! I’m going to move Homecoming to departure day lunch so I can do Jaleo for dinner...!

I definitely will keep an eye on the paella - is that something that needs to be ordered 45 minutes in advance ?

I love Homecomin' and Raglan Road. The latter was one we had cancelled a couple of times in the past, but after going, we want to go back! All of the food was great, as was the show!

If you have a good Irish restaurant near you, Raglan Road may be a disappointment. We have one really good & one excellent Irish restaurant near us. I kept booking RR convinced we were just ordering the wrong items, due to glowing reviews here. After the third try of ordering all different foods each visit, DH asked me to please not book it again. That's the only restaurant he's ever made that request for. I think the food just didn't compare favorably with what we're used to at home. If you don't have a good Irish restaurant at home or you're really interested in the show, it would be worth a try, when you can fit it in.

If you want to try Raglan Road, you can always reserve a table and just go for drinks, for later in the evening.

I wanted to try Sebastian’s last time - November - and assumed I’d try it my next time, but I don’t have the room..unless I end up canceling. It’s on my list...ONE of these days, lol.

There’s no room as well for RR..what’s a girl to do? So many restaurants so little time !
