We are on the 3-day. If we are going to take our kids on both excursions and do not plan to eat at Palo, do you really need to book time at the Oceaneers or Flounders? Will have a 4 and 2 year old.

If you don't plan on using the service, then no need to sign-up. You only have to book times in Flounders, Oceaneers you only need to have your child registered to use.

You do not "book" time in the Oceaneer's Club. It is open basically 8 am to midnight. You only register your child when you board (if you are at all interested in using the program--you can also choose to register later in the cruise.) Then, any time your child wants to go to the programming, you take him/her to the club and sign her in. As to Flounder's....only you can decide whether you wish to use the babysitting service or not. Personally, I think it would be nice to have a little "adults only" time......

Having just gotten back, here are my thoughts on the kids club:

It is a nice amount of space dedicated just to kids and always fun stuff happening there. That said, my kids used it about half as much as I expected them to use it since it was all they ever talked about, but actually only went for the "big stuff" on their list (ie Goofy Giggle Gala, the Lab, etc).

Register your kid so at least they have the option of going...they can do the graduation at the end then and get the shirt.

I think the smaller ones need the club more than the bigger ones...we dined w/a little girl of 3 years of age who was sailing w/her grandparents and it was obvious she never was away from them....she wanted to be w/my kids and watched other kids most of the time. The grandparents refused to put her in club even when we talked about it so she spent the whole week being dragged around by these two adults....it seemed that she wanted to be w/other kids and would have probably benefited even from a little time in the club away from grandparents.

Another great thing about registering the little ones is that all the kids get a wrist band, it has there name and stateroom on it. This way if the child is ever seperated from your party, a cast memeber will recognize that wrist band and immediately get in contact with you. You are also given a pager, so that if you check your child in and he/she is upset or just tired and want to go, the cast member can page you and let you know of this. Although if you are at palo's or a massage, the cast members try not to disturb you and keep your child entertained until you return.
