Could you elaborate on this? I hadn't heard of issues with those cruises.I doubt it. They did no research at all when they sent the wonder to australia and stuffed that market up in every way imaginable.

That could be a very LONG time from now. You do realize there are over 1 billion people in China alone? Even if not entirely the target market, that is still a huge number of people. When the local market gets tired of cruise to nowhere it just may branch out.
That’s ok I can wait. We will eventually make it over there. I have a long list of travel destinations. We loved Japan so we may end up on their new ship first depending on the itineraries. That could be a very LONG time from now. You do realize there are over 1 billion people in China alone? While the ship may remain in Asia long term, Disney is known for moving ships to different ports over the years. So it is not unreasonable to think that the Adventure could move at some point to a Japanese port, for example, where it might be more convenient for Canadian and United States passengers to sail. I don’t believe it will happen any time soon but eventually it will, just as ships that sailed the Caribbean moved to the UK and Mediterranean markets and were replaced at the Caribbean ports with other ships. Moving ships around every so often keeps the product fresh without investing additional capital. It wont, cruises to no where are popular with a local market, which in this case are China and Japan. This ship is for the local market, not for Americans who want to see the region. Its the same reason why Disney have switched to short cruises out of Southampton in August, as the majority of passengers are UK people who stay on the ship in the ports.
It is kind of unrealistic to think that since OLC has already ordered DCL ship for Japan and has an option available to order more ships if it does well. While the ship may remain in Asia long term, Disney is known for moving ships to different ports over the years. As far as my opinion of the Adventure, I like it. For a cruise to nowhere I would like the option of having an inward facing balcony for people watching while I relax. I am looking forward to reading and watching more reviews.
This I'm just holding out for Japan. I need to be on that ship when it comes. My Nannie(Mom's mom) is Japanese and we went twice she came the first time. but anyway I would love to go back to Japan and a Disney ship there even betterThat’s ok I can wait. It does have a Walt Disney theater onboard. Is there no equivalent to the Walt Disney theater on the Adventure? I saw that there are movie theaters, but I'm wondering about theatrical performances besides the ones in the outdoor venues
There's a traditional theatre for the performances of Remember and Seas the Adventure. Is there no equivalent to the Walt Disney theater on the Adventure?
It is not necessary (or even possible) on the other 7 Disney Cruise ships to make reservations for shopping, slides, or quick service dining. On the 3 newest US-based ships (Wish, Treasure, Destiny) there have been times when the themed lounges (such as Star Wars) took reservations, but even most activities in lounges are "come get a seat until the place fills up".Been watching some videos of people on the Adventure and the ship looks beautiful but also seems like a weird layout. I've been on a ton of RCL big ships and this ship seems different (not sure if in a bad way) as far as layouts go. Something I was curious about those was seeing people have to use the DCL app a lot to make reservations to go shopping, rides/slides and dining at QS places. Is this the norm on a DCL?
Booking stuff on the app is done to get rid of lines. You cant logically blame disney for creating lines and also blame them for creating a solution to get rid of lines in the same post.Been watching some videos of people on the Adventure and the ship looks beautiful but also seems like a weird layout. RCL you need reservations to specialty up charge restaurants and some of their shows but for shopping and eating QS or to go on a slide/ride seems weird to me. Also another take away that I'm curious to get people's opinion on is Disney seems to have trained their guests that there will always be a wait or a line to do something or get into something. Whether at their resorts, parks or cruises there is always a line for something it seems. RCL and other resorts I've been to it seems much more laid back and causal.
I guess my point is on other ships and resorts I’ve gone to I don’t need to pre plan stuff or book via an app like it seems you need to do with dcl and Disney resorts. I enjoy not having to think about when I want to go shopping or grab a QS meal at non Disney places as I just go in and enjoy the experience and typically I have never really experienced a wait for those types of things. I get the need for it in theme parks but I was just surprised that it’s also needed on this newest ship as I view cruising and touring theme parks as totally different experiences.Booking stuff on the app is done to get rid of lines.
