Just watched the fist 2 episodes of Rings of Fire on Amazon. Very well written, and incredible effects, very well done as expected. Started out slow, but you have to build the characters as nobody knows them as its several thousand years before The Hobbit.
Looking forward to where they go. I read that this is an 8 episode, 5 season series plan. Can cover a lot of territory in that time.
Will this be the next Game of Thrones?

I watched the 1st episode. So far, it's pretty boring to me, so I may or may not continue. On the other hand, I'm enjoying GoT very much.

I enjoyed the first two episodes. Thought the cinematography was spectacular and glad there was some intrigue in the second episode as it was a little slow in the first. Looking forward to the next episode.

Just watched the 3rd episode. It still is moving slowly, but has some real potential. Lots of future interweaving story lines to come.

Rings of Power, we are enjoying it and will watch. It is beautiful but seems there were very poor choices in casting since the female leads have zero charisma, really Cate Blanchett as Galadriel had no charisma and held little interest so it's odd they thought anyone wants more of that. The fairies and dwarves are super cool though, could have found better characters so I find myself wondering why they spent so much on a ehhh story. Arwen was may more likable and interesting so I would have liked her story. Arondir is very cool so I hope his story can save it, he's the only likable character I want to see. I like the dwarves a lot. The harfoots really annoy me, they get way too much screen-time with zero contribution. It seems they are supposed to be offering female hobbit-like playfulness but they are thoroughly unlikable as characters - they are the Jar Jar Binks of this franchise. Should have gotten the casting director from Stranger Things to pick those with an "it factor."

We watched the first 3 episodes last night. After the first, I wasn't convinced that it was something I would enjoy. By the end of the third, it had me hooked. The scenery in New Zealand is absolutely gorgeous, as are all the sets, costumes, etc. But I still have to wonder why would anyone pay $465 million to make a streaming show? I am not hooked on any of the characters yet, but love the girl who plays Nori, I think that's her name. Is going to take me a few more episodes to figure out who everyone is, lol.

We've watched the 1st two episodes. We love LOTR but find this a little lackluster. I enjoyed the Dwarves and the "stranger" - interested to see what happens there. I wish Galadriel was more likeable... we will absolutely finish it out then move onto GoT.

Watched the first three episodes each day they came out. After the three, I think I am out. The story is soooo slow. The beginning of the first episode had me interested when the story begin with chasing the trail of Sauron. But from there, it has come to screeching halt. I think I may try to pick it back up later if I read that it gets better.

I thought this was about Johnny Cash - 😉

I'm watching it and am really enjoying it. I am a LOTR fan, but not a super-hardcore one. I do love the movies though, so this is right up my alley. It did start a tad slow, but, well, that's pretty on-brand for LOTR.

I watched the first episode, plan on watching the rest as I like fantasy but haven't visited the second episode yet two weeks later. I'll get around to it soon I'm sure.

I agree with the rest of you that it has started out slow but I sort of expected that.

We have watched the first 3 episodes and are enjoying them. i have found myself googling some of the characters, history of Elendil and the tree symbolism.

I never watched Game of Thrones, too much violence against women for my taste. I do not find that entertaining.

just finished the 4th episode couple days ago and like it very much. Can think of his name but my favorite character (followed closely by the dwarves) is the guy on the island with Galadriel.
