Thoughts on our upcoming dining plans - please share yours.

Our party of four, (myself, DW, and two DDs) will be there from 08/19 - 08/25.

For breakfast, we will primarily eat at the Lounge, as the lounge offerings are typical breakfasts for us anyway.

Day Two: Tortuga Tavern for Lunch; Columbia House for Dinner
Day Three: Satu’li Canteen for Lunch; Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafe for dinner
Day Four: Tiffins ROL for Lunch; Flame Tree for dinner
Day Five: Be Our Guest for Lunch; Jungle Skipper Canteen for dinner
Day Six Tangerine Cafe for lunch; Monsieur Paul's for dinner
Day Seven: Harambe Market for lunch: Wanyama Safari (Jikos) for dinner
Day Eight: Boma for breakfast before we head out.

Satuli Canteen isn’t open for breakfast anymore

4 nights 9/7-11 - though the arrival night is around midnight, so...nada that day. I'm only planning one ADR/day at this point but we'll see what I end up with doing. I'm solo, so it can be a little easier to get last-minute ADRs

9/8 Garden Grill "brunch" (at 10am - so that's why I'm calling it brunch); snacking at F&W unless I want to grab QS somewhere
9/9 Bon Voyage Breakfast; lunch at POFQ; snacking at MNSSHP
9/10 breakfast at POFQ; lunch at Satu'li; dinner is up in the air with pondering including: Boatwright (I'm staying at POFQ, so I'd just walk over), Raglan Road, Bongos, BOATHOUSE, Frontera Cocina, or possibly something else. LOL.

Right now we have one TS booked per day:

Arrival Day: Raglan Road
AK Day: Tusker House breakfast (tempted to do Yak and Yeti for dinner, but may be full so will opt for QS or snacking)
MK Day: BOG lunch
Rest day: Morimoto Asia
DHS Day: Brown Derby (DHs favorite)

DH and I will be at WDW for 10 days Nov-Dec 2018, plus 3 days at Universal. This will be our third trip to WDW. (We've been to DLR many times.) One of the things we are focusing on this trip is collecting Disney character autographs, hence the character meals.

- Tusker House lunch (one of our favorites)
- San Angel Inn lunch (our second time here, hoping for a waterside table again)
- Crystal Palace breakfast (our first time here)
- Cinderella’s Royal Table dinner (our first time here)
- Garden Grill breakfast (our first time here)
- Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater lunch (our third time here, obviously we like Sci-Fi!)
- Tusker House breakfast (We love Tusker House. First time for breakfast)
- Beaches and Cream dinner (mainly going for the desserts)
- Biergarten Restaurant lunch (Candlelight Processional dining package)
- Be Our Guest lunch (second time here, going mainly for the Grey Stuff)
- MVMCP
- JBJB Dessert Party

I figured a solo trip is the time to splurge! It will never be cheaper!!! I am a little nervous about going be myself, but I am sure that will dissipate pretty quickly.

I know you will have a blast! I am not a solo traveler, however if I ever have an opportunity to travel somewhere alone, my destination will be WDW. I cannot think of another place the is so inviting for soso visitors, allowing for exploration into a magical fantasyland, and when you want to pop out, plenty of people all who share a love for the same destination.

*new to us

This looks like a lot of food and down time but I'm a light eater and will most likely order a salad and appetizer. We enjoy the break from the parks so don't mind taking the time it takes for all the sit down restaurants.

You have some great choices, with HDDR being my favorite!

We are a party of 8 but we splitting up for a few of ours -

Day 1: Teppan Edo - 3 of us are meeting up with my best friends sisters and their kids at Epcot in the afternoon, since it is our first night and their last day before heading home
Cape May Cafe - My sister and her DH LOVE this place so they are going and bring my niece after spending time in Epcot.
Day 2: Boatwrights Dinner - Just my sister and her DH are going
Day 4: Early Morning Magic at MK for all 8 of us! We love this event and the breakfast is really great!
Garden Grill dinner - 6 of us
Day 5: Crystal Palace PPO Breakfast - Me, my BFF and her DD
Cinderellas Royal Table PPO Breakfast - My sister, her DH and DD
Grand Floridian Cafe - my Mom and stepdad
Day 6: Tusker House PPO Breakfast - all 8 of us are going and this is a new one for all of us!
Day 7: Hoop Dee Doo Revue! 2nd Show - Category 1 Seating - all 8 of us and this is our absolute favorite!
Day 8: Garden Grill PPO Breakfast - Just me, my BFF and her DD
Via Napoli Dinner - all 8 of us for our last meal on our trip

For my trip (2 adults) at the end of Jan, this is what we have (We are on dining plan for 6 nights and have one extra TS meal booked, so we might drop one):

Breakfasts: Akershus, Tusker House, & Boma
Lunches: 50's PT, BOG(QS credit)
Dinners: Ohana, Liberty Tree Tavern, Hollywood & Vine

Tentative Counter service meals: Caseys, Pinocchios, Backlot express, Yak & Yeti local, Sunshine Seasons

I'll play...

December 7-13, 6 nights, two adults, DDP, celebrating my 50th birthday!

Day 1 - we arrive at 430pm, dinner at Paradiso 37 at DS
Day 2 - MK - BOG breakfast, dinner at Peco's Bills
Day 3 - EPCOT - lunch at LeCellier (paying OOP just having beer cheese soup), dinner at Via Napoli
Day 4 - rest day - lunch at EOS and dinner at Homecoming in DS (spending the day at DS, shopping, drinking, people watching and eating)
Day 5 - AK for most of the day, MVMCP that night - lunch at Yak & Yeti (our fave) and dinner at Tony's before the party
Day 6 - HS - lunch at Woody's Lunchbox, dinner at 50's prime time
Day 7 - travel home day, we do't leave until 330pm, having lunch at Polite Pig in DS and more shopping! LOL

Thinking about adding the HEA dessert party on MK day, as it is my actual birthday and we aren't doing a fancy dinner or anything, but not sure yet!

Here is what we have for our annual Christmas week trip:
Ale & Compass
Be Our Guest Lunch
Teppan Edo
Garden Grill (CP)
Spice Road Table
Chef Mickey's (Christmas Day Brunch after Mass)
Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Tiffins
Via Napoli
Sci Fi
Narcoose's
Cape May Cafe
Maria & Enzo's (I may change this ... not sure I want to go to the trouble of going to DS)
San Angel Inn
Beaches & Cream
Ohana

Thanks for everyone's replies. There are just so many places to eat and only so much time. Originally, we had Nine Dragons and Le Cellier on the list but think that the food is just so so although the atmosphere is amazing.

Some of our Favorites

1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian - best breakfast buffet in our opinion
California Grill - make a reservation close to the fireworks going off - AMAZING!
Via Napoli - best pizza
Peco Bills - fast and inexpensive
Yak and Yeti - since we have no been to WDW in five years, one of the best restaurants in Animal Kingdom
Flame Tree BBQ - consistently good
Sci Fi - good but expensive burgers in a cool atmosphere
50's - fun and good comfort food
House of Blues (DS)
Raglan Road brunch or dinner (DS)
Tusker House

We will just have to go over and over so that we can try them all :)
