Thoughts on Ohana...

They have an entertainer who runs all of the games for the kids and who also sings a little bit. She's full of energy but not annoying and it's a lot of fun.

My advice is - pace yourself when you eat there! The bread pudding is my fav dessert at WDW and even if you eat "a little of this and a little of that" you're still stuffed before the dessert comes.

We love everything @ Ohana but especially the dumplings, the shrimp and the dessert.

For me the noodles taste like local noodles I had in Maui, they're called Siamen. Unfortunately they taste just like another rhyming noodle dish - Ramen ;)

Can you get seconds on the pot stickers and the wings? In case our kids don't love the meats so much.:goodvibes

You can get refills of anything you like.

We used to love 'Ohana, tried to work it into every trip. But our last couple of visits there have been disappointing, we haven't returned for almost 2 years. The service was bad both times, the appetizers came out quickly, then the service fizzled. No drink refills or meat - we didn't even get a first-round of the steak until we had our ticket the second time! All the meat was so dry we could hardly eat it, anyway, I agree with the PP that the price is too high for us to simply eat appetizers. We felt like we were being rushed out, as well.

OP, good luck, I hope you have a wonderful time! It is a lot of fun - even though my kids are grown, we loved to watch the games.

You sure can!!!!!!!! They are sooo good!! We always get seconds for them.:rotfl:

We decided to skip the turkey but the CM insisted I try a little bit. And of course it was dry and terrible. Our server came around with the turkey first, pork, steak and shrimp. We skipped the pork and had great steak and shrimp.

Funny, the night we went, only the turkey was edible. The steak had a funny texture, the shrimp was cooked to a mush and the pork was dry and crumbly.

I liked the appetizers, but dd11 didn't. However, thanks for posting the wings recipe, I'll probably make the sauce for something else, like maybe a steak on the grill!

We go to Ohana's every trip and will be returning next month!!
The bananas foster bread pudding alone makes it worth the trip over there!
Do save some room for that dessert, you won't regret it!:worship:

The service however can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are.
We were a large party the last 2 times we were there and maybe that contributed to our SLOW service, but that would definitely not stop me from going back! ;)

We did the Ohana Character Breakfast and it was cute - but we weren't fond of the food. It was neat for the experience, but the food wasn't great.

We are in the group that loves 'Ohana :lovestruc .

We have done breakfast and dinner and both times we had a very nice experience. Our "cousins" were so friendly and while it did take a bit longer for the service at dinner, it was worth it!
I'm only disappointed that the potatoes are gone...I saw a picture of the noodles that replaced them and they do not look impressive to me (the potatoes were heaven in a bowl).
I just can not wait to eat that Bananas Foster bread pudding again :cloud9: !!
