Thoughts on Memory Maker?

We don't buy it. We have gotten it when it is included with our AP's, but we wouldn't buy it and have taken many trips without it.

You might want to consider an AP. Just one AP = MM, free parking (at parks), plus dining discounts (10% off at most TS for up to 4 people), merchandise discount (10% off some places), and maybe even a (future) room discount. (Probably too late to apply a room discount this trip). With a group, one AP can sometimes come close to paying for itself, especially in a place where meals can top $50 per person! One AP can mean savings $20 per meal. If you are a bigger group, AP holders can also buy the Tables in Wonderland card. It costs an additional $150, but quickly pays for itself if you have a big group. TiW = 20% off for up to 10 people at most TS. At the $50 pp buffets, and 10 people, that's $100 off the meal.

We don't really bother doing much of anything with our Photopass photos. I download them, but then we never do anything with them. If we look at photos, it is the ones on/from our phones!

In every location the photographers will take a photo with your phone.

Also, We don't usually don't feel like waiting in line for the Photopass photographers. We see some in-park characters, but not a ton. We tend to do a few character meals instead, and those are mostly take-your-own photos. Photopass makes more sense if you are really into seeing characters around the parks, and those lines can easily run 40+ minutes long. We are more interested in rides.

We didn't do it on our last trip. We have lots of great pictures from handing over our camera to the photographers. I also spent like $20 and bought a couple of my favorites. It's been five years and I have no regrets about not having it.
This upcoming trip we will have it. My Dad is going with us so I suggested he get it for us as our Christmas gift even though our trip is in April. Our kids will be older and doing more rides with cameras so I want the ride pictures. Also I brought our good camera last time and want to avoid it this time. If we didn't get it then I wouldn't be that disappointed but I feel like for this trip it'll be easier with it.

On our last trip last June we got between 700 and 800 pictures admittedly we were there for 10 days and are a group of 8. Now if they do not stop that stupid auto picture thing I will have to seriously think about not using it.

We have not gotten it on our vacations the last 3 years but we have already decided to get it for our Honeymoon in 2021. We want as many pictures as possible in addition to the ones we take ourselves.

We have done it on all of our trips and would never go without buying Memory Maker.

I have read that he cost is $169 if purchased before arrival but when I try to add it on MDE I’m only seeing a $279 price. What am I doing wrong?

With all that you have planned and the grandparents joining as well it sounds like a great deal. I would consider if you were to pay $20 a piece for each photo you’d want to buy it seems like the MM would turn out to be a great deal.

Last trip was only my husband and I so I didn’t get it but when we take our DGS I always get it and use the photos along with the ones from my camera to make he and I a memory book.
