Help us not have buyers remorse dh just mentioned concerns that poly doesn’t have 1 bedrooms and that we will want one when the 6 and 3 year old are bigger. I think it will be fine with bigger kids to be in a studio at Poly, he now is unsure how it’ll be with teens

You should have no regrets!!

You will have several years where you will get to enjoy the convenience of being on the loop! When the kids get older, you will figure it out.

OKW 1 bedrooms only requires 160-174 points for a couple of their seasons. You can get a transfer for the extra points if you want the space. You could save your change for the year and afford that.

However, your husband will probably be like mine and drink the Kool Aid after a few stays. I see a small contract add-on in your future.

No. Boardwalk, Beach Club, Poly, Grand Floridian, Boulder Creek, and Riviera have the extra small bed in a studio.

When do you travel? Poly studios are pretty good in terms of availability at 7 months,

If you think Poly is good for at least the next 3 to 5 years, I would not stress and just go with it!

I went back and forth and considered Poly, even though BLT was first choice, It came down to wanting the resort more than the price.

FYI - For the $20K limit you stated, you could get at least 225 points at SSR. I got exactly that in February, so you may be able to do much better than that right now.

I'm surprised SSR isn't more popular to stay at instead of just being SAP. We booked a trip for thanksgiving there this year, hopefully we can go lol. The Newly renovated studios look great! Very Riviera like! plus with being so close to Disney Springs late night snacks are unlimited! I really wish Sprinkles had a shop at a resort or in a park, we love those cupcakes!

At the end of the day, the park transportation at SSR is a huge negative compared to all the other DVCs except perhaps OKW. Not just that it isn't adjacent to a park, but that there are a bunch of bus stops.

I agree, I have figured out after our last stay there with a group that budgeting for Uber’s to the parks is a must,

For MK, we just Uber to BLT and walk, Taking bus back isn’t a big deal as we were at Grandstand and in no rush.

When I have stayed without wanting to do parks, foe a few nights with a friend, it is a great place to be!

While true if you book a preferred room where congress park is finished and they started the springs section you should have a pretty good chance until construction picks back up. My favorite thing is the murphy wall bed over the sofa bed other rooms have. Thats my biggest downside when you have a family of 3-5 in a studio. The sofa beds are a con.

Just remember, the studios at SSR will still only sleep 4, even with the refurb, But I agree it will be a welcome change over sofa bed for many,,,personally, I don’t mind them!

Very true I fully expect Boulder Ridge to get the pull down murphy beds also once they get their refurb.

As we plan for an OKW purchase we are pricing in the need to rent a car for AK/DHS/EP and take Minnie Vans to MK, at least until our kids are old enough for regular Uber. It's a huge cost consideration that's brought AKV or BWV a lot closer in total cost of ownership than I initially expected.

As we plan for an OKW purchase we are pricing in the need to rent a car for AK/DHS/EP and take Minnie Vans to MK, at least until our kids are old enough for regular Uber. It's a huge cost consideration that's brought AKV or BWV a lot closer in total cost of ownership than I initially expected.

Our group were all young adults and older so Uber worked well and so much cheaper than the Minnie Van.

I can see with little ones why that makes sense!
