My friend’s aunt just gifted her with a two bedroom villa at Kidani for the end of April. We would like to go too and Ive currently booked a studio Savanna view. We’ve just realized the main Animal Kingdom lodge is closed including many places to eat. What are your thoughts on staying here at this time? Is it worth it? (I know that’s a subjective question) Is the pool/poolside food open at Jambo? We won’t have cars so please tell me about the busing situation. Anything else that would be helpful to know about Kidani in April? Thanks!

Was at Jambo in November and will return in March then July. Pool bars are open but the only restaurant open is Sanaa at Kidani and reservations are scarcer than hens teeth though they do offer a to go service. Nothing is open at Jambo except the pool and pool bar. No restaurants, no store. Only DVC rooms on the 5th floor are occupied so not many folks around.

Since it’s all DVC, Kidani is considerably more lively. The store at Kidani is open but quite small so not much selection. With a two bedroom... which are fabulous at Kidani btw... there is a full kitchen. Grocery order and/or Uber eats/door dash will cover food. You need to have a plan, though, since the food options are very limited.

I found the buses to be absolutely fine... in fact, better than I’ve seen them there in awhile.

As I said, I enjoy the peace and quiet.. no crowds at the Jambo pool lol

Personally, we wouldn't. We did in October and won't stay at a half open resort in the future. The room was nice, but no counter service really stunk. Also the pool was packed - the one at Jambo was pretty empty though.

The buses weren't really an issue; but we definitely didn't like being so far from everything else (other than AK.) The little shop and refill mug place, along with the pool in our opinion was way too small for the amount of ppl. there were.

We also encountered some pretty lessthan friendly CMs- which we've never experienced before.

Bell Services was excellent though.
