Thoughts on Hollywood Studios February 2016

My DS has gone every year since he was 3 (he is now 8), and HS has always been one of his favorite days. We took my DD this summer at age 3, and she too loved DHS. We are going back in 2 weeks and only have 4 days - we are skipping AK to be able to do 2 MK days because we would not miss DHS. For the youngest, she obviously loves the Disney Jr. show, the Disney Jr. breakfast, Frozen sing along, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, TSMM, Muppets and the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. After 2 days at MK, DHS felt like an actual relaxing vacation day with DD3 because it was not as overwhelming, and it was a lot more sitting and watching shows than rides which can be sensory overload with some young kids after a while. Plus, if your DS (or the adults in your group) likes Star Wars at ALL it really becomes a can't miss place with the Jedi Training and Star Wars Launch Bay, and if they are able to stay up late enough, the fireworks. My one recommendation is that Fantasmic was too intense for my DS when he was only 5, so I would not recommend that for you. Now if your kids are not the kind who are interested in sitting still for shows, it might be harder, but my 3 year old princess was mesmerized watching Ariel, Belle and Elsa at the shows.
Well DS5 is non verbal autistic and has sensory processing disorder does not sit still but lives Disney Jr. Characters as well and loves frozen not so much into the Disney princesses like DD but I think we will do HS so we can have a more relaxing day off in between MK days. Thanks for the feedback and sorry to intrude on OP thread

I would say that Hollywood Studios is a must see, only for you to come back in years and have fun seeing the differences in what was and what was not changed.

You still have PLENTY of ride options:

Star Tours
The Tower of Terror
The Great Movie Ride
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast Show
Muppet Vision
Toy Story Midway Mania
Indiana Jones Stunt Show
Lights Motors Action Stunt Show
The Varoius Meet & Greets
Fantasmic

I dunno I still think I could make a day out of the park, with lunch and dinner it could be a great day and it's nice to have a different park daily.

I'd say go for it :)
