Thoughts on getting to the Port from Universal

We are going to Universal for 5 nights before out 4 night cruise with Disney. I was thinking of taking the Super Star transportation from the airport to Universal and maybe cutting one night off of Universal and Uber to a Disney hotel to take their transportation to the port. Has anyone ever done this? Thoughts?

Universal does offer a pre-cruise package with transportation to Port Canaveral! It is only available through travel advisors, I believe.

I'm doing the same thing this fall and I just set it all up!

I wanted to avoid any so-called "ride sharing" services. So, I booked Universal's shuttle from MCO to Universal and back to MCO, then Disney's shuttle from MCO to PC and back to MCO. It's a bit annoying to switch buses, but the advantages of taking Disney's transportation are worth it for me.

Getting a ride with another company like Mears from Universal to PC is expensive (~$225+), so going with Universal + Disney transportation is cheaper.

Do you get to pick what time back to the airport with Universal's shuttle? We are first time cruisers and I am just trying to figure everything out.

My TA had them arrange it so that I'd be at MCO for about 8:30, like I asked. But he also said that the exact time might vary a bit, depending on which shuttles are going where, and that I can tell them what I want when I check in and then they can try to make it happen. So, if I decide that I want to leave earlier or later, then I can make that request and they'll try to accommodate it.

I've never used the Universal shuttle before, so we'll see how it goes.

We did a cruise and then Universal three years ago and we used a car service to get us there. We used Southern Elegance.
