I'm looking to try some places where we haven't eaten before. We like to do breakfasts, and this one has characters. Anyone eaten breakfast at CMC? We're staying at the Contemporary, so we'd have to drive over to BC. I was thinking about going there on the morning we do DHS. Any thoughts on this restaurant would be appreciated.

Definitely try it if you haven't ever eaten there before. Cape May Cafe is one of our favorite character meals. The food is always hot and fresh and the character interactions are just awesome. Minnie, Goofy, and Donald are so cute in their beachwear and they spend so much time at each of the tables. Also the service at Cape May is one of the best IMHO. Plus Cape May is more relaxed and laid back that you almost forget that it is a character meal....that is until the characters come to your table :goodvibes. Have a great time, you won't be disappointed :thumbsup2

We loved it! It's on our list for the next time we go, and we may even do it twice since we're staying at BC. I think you'll like it. :)

We love CMC breakfast and dinner!!! At breakfast, the food is good and the character interaction is great!

It's a very quiet character meal. The food is nothing unique but the buffet is nice and fresh and characters spend good time at each table.

I enjoyed it because the food was good and, as Pakey said, it is quiet for a character meal. It's nice to get in some character time during a meal when you can actually hear your table mates speak.

the best character meal on property, so laid back, the characters literaly hang out at your table and usually come back a second time.
the buffet is very hot and fresh, with mostly standard fare, very fresh sweet fruit, asparagus (i love it even for breakfast), baked french toast out of this world insanely good, pastries, eggs, meats ect...

This is one of our favorites! The food is good and the service has always been great. It is very low-key - not as frenzied as other character meals. Cape May is appropriate for both kids and adults. The characters will take as much or as little time with you as you want. On one visit our DS was talking to the server and commented that he wished Cape May had omelets instead of scrambled eggs. She returned shortly with an omelet - boy, was he surprised!

Best character interaction of any meal on property, and the dining room is very pretty. Check out the elaborate sand castles in the cases behind the buffet. I took several pics of the just the dining room alone.

I vote Tusker House the best character meal on property because the food is outstanding, but Cape May comes in second for the fact that Minnie, Donald and Goofy spend SO MUCH time with you. Donald sat down and colored with my daughter and Minnie made a HUGE deal about the fact that she was wearing a t-shirt with her on it.

We're doing the breakfast for the first time in May and I love reading all the positive reviews!! We do the dinner twice every trip but for some reason we've never done the breakfast so we're really looking forward to it. I love asparagus too!!! ;)

We did Cape May for both breakfast and dinner last trip (stayed at BC a few days) and its our new favorite for both meals. The character breakfast is so laid back and its easy to get pictures with the characters. The other character breakfasts are so rushed, frantic, cramped, and loud.

My grown daughter and I did the CM breakfast in October. We were very pleased with the character interaction and with the food. It is much less frantic than some of the other character breakfasts (which we like also). It was just a different vibe. We enjoyed it very much

We love it at cape may. Good food characters are always wonderful. As much as I like Donald I do miss Chip and Dale.

This is one of the best character meal options, imo. The characters all come out and go around to your table in good order. The food has always been very good. And the waitstaff friendly. We've been the past two years.

I've had both breakfast and dinner there, and they are both great! It's hard to beat the all-you-can-eat crab legs at dinner, but the breakfast was exceptional as well. There is a great variety of food, great characters...you won't be disappointed!

Very laid back and quiet for a character meal. Great character interaction! Very good food and a very nice atmosphere make this one of our favorite character breakfasts.

Another fan here!! I wasn't able to work it in last October, which was actually a bit disappointing! But, it's one of my favs (along with Tusker House.)
