We love to be near the action and have requested the 300 loop. (We have a furry friend that will be camping with us). ;)

Do you have any comments or suggestions about the 300 Loop. I have a preferred ressie.

Thanks so much for the comments! :woohoo:

We have ressies for 300 as well, in December. What kind of camping are you doing? Trailer, MH, tent, etc? 300 is close to the action without being in the middle of the action... that honor goes to 100! Here are some walking distances I calculated for an earlier thread:

These are pretty precise as they meticulously follow the paths, cross roads at crosswalks, and even route through the entrances to the feature. Hope others will find this useful. I have bolded each route that is substantially shorter.

Outpost Bus Stop . . . . . . . . . . . . 1.26 mi . .1.15 mi
Wilderness Lodge Food Court . . . . . . .1.48 mi . .1.37 mi

I was most surprised to find that the shortest route to the Meadow Trading post is to go through 500, out the comfort station walk, to Fort Wilderness Trail. I doubt I would have plotted this route in my head. Also surprising is how equal the distances are for those in the back of the loop using the canal walk to those in the front using the sidewalks. Very interesting.

(Yes, I'm inordinately fastidious!)

It's ok if you don't have a big rig. It's tight to get in and out. I liked the pet area by the water. It's an extra space to walk. Out site backed up to it and it was great. The next time we were there our site was closer to the end. It was more convenient to get ot the bus but harder to back into. It is also a close walk to the pet park. Have fun!!

We love 300 and have that as our preference for our ressies in November. We've stayed there 3 other times - love it!

We like the proximity to the marina area (relatively short walk - although we're now hooked on having a golf cart), lovely dog walk along the canal, close to the dog park. There's also a nice trail that goes from the end of the canal over to the trading post. Nicely shaded sites. Also one of the few (only?) Preferred pet loops up in that part of FW.

I like the 300 loop. It's convenient, shady, some sites are on the canal (my fav's), you can have pets, and it's a short walk to watch the MK fireworks while standing on the south (I think it's south) shore of Bay Lake.

The down side to the loop is that it is very, very tight for large 5'ers & MH's over 36feet. If you have a bigger unit, ask for another loop.

We have stayed in 300 lots of times. There was one time we were on 300 that I think every irresponsible dog owner was assigned to the loop. There was dog poo everywhere! But that's not Disney's fault.

We have always stay'd on 300 loop,,:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
we love it for all our needs,, our furry sweeties love it too.

oh, and we do pick up the poo after our's. :thumbsup2

We have a 22ft hybrid TT. From what I am reading this should be ok!

I guess I will take extra bags for the irresponsible campers when I take the fuzzy one for a walk! I am always cleaning up after others! I always leave my table cleaner than when I sat down when we go eat somewhere where you clean up behind yourself. I am just weid like that! :thumbsup2

Another quick question......should there be enough room to put our screen tent thingy over our picnic table?

Your TT should not be a problem. The sites on the back side of the loop, from 328-335 are a little tight because of how tight the road curves, but it's do-able.

They have the old, standard tables on 300, so you should be able to get your table in the screen room.
:thumbsup2

Most pet owners are good to pick up. Why is it those inconsiderate few that ruin it? If you have a pet it's not difficult to pick up. If everybody did their share it would be much easier.

You should have room to put your screen up.

Should be a good time to be there. I sooooooo jealous

I was pleasantly suprised in 300 in December. All the dog people there (and there were LOTS) seemed to be really considerate and responsible. I stumbled across maybe one "forgotten" poo on the dog walk in 3 weeks and nary a single annoying barking dog (which we all know is the owners' fault and not the dog's).

It definitely wasn't quite as spiffy last year. :(

And for the record, we travel with our own 2 border collies and do our darndest to make sure we're not the annoying neighbors with the barking dogs. Oh, and we ALWAYS clean up after our pooches - I buy clean-up bags by the case and stash a supply everywhere. ;)

we are in the 300 loop right now. It is nice. There are mostly large motor homes right now. We look like the Beverly hillbillies we are 20' tt on site 360. Patsy;)

Aw... don't feel bad. We were quite proud of our little hybrid on the 300 in December...

We had long-term neighbors in a big, spiffy Airstream on one side, and rotating big ol' MHs on the other. We were quite cozy and comfy. ;)

Oh 360, that's the last inside site, right? How is it? Looks spacious and easy to get into... maybe a little sunny?

I think our new Cub is a lot like your Kodak (sp?). I hope to also feel at home. Thanks so much for the comments!
