My DH and I really enjoy taking the ferry from MGM to the Boardwalk at night. It looks so beautiful all lit up. We were thinking about staying there in the resort on our next trip. Anyone stayed there before? What were your thoughts? How is it price wise? And was it worth the price?
I appreciate any extra info. you want to give me about it.

We have stayed at the Boardwalk Villas 3x and we are staying there again in Jan/Feb. We love the ambience. The convenience of MGM and Epcot being within walking distance is worth the extra price charged for the BW. Any of the resorts in the Epcot area are great.....

My wife and I stayed there in 2002... we loved it. We had a waterview room that was directly above the Spoodles sign... the balcony was ENORMOUS... almost as big as the room itself.
The location is great for walking to Epcot or taking the boat launch to MGM. We also enjoyed walking over to the Beach Club for a few meals.
It really is a nice resort.

I enjoyed my stay at the Boardwalk last December (although it is a bit stuffy for my tastes). The rooms were very nice, and the lobby was very homey. It's nice to have a wide array of dining and entertainment options right there (and even more just a few minutes walk away at the other Epcot resorts). Of course, it's close proximity to Jellyrolls is a huge plus ;)

We stayed at the Boardwalk Villas in 2002 & are on the waiting list for this October. We loved having the option of "going downstairs" and being right in the action. The kids loved the pool & the entertainment on the boardwalk. We loved having the option of walking to Epcot, taking a boat to MGM or riding the bus.

We just got back yesterday from our 3rd stay at the Boardwalk - it is now our favorite resort. We stay concierge level and have had 3 great rooms - one was above Spoodles, one had a garden view with France in the background, and this last one was a deluxe room (just got it - didn't ask for it) and it was directly above the bakery. The deluxe had almost an entire extra room! Not really, but there was another tv in an amoire and another phone and lots of space - very nice.

We love the location and the views. We have never had a problem with noise. One time when we stayed at the YC and we were facing the Boardwalk we had more of a noise problem but nothing real bad.

Try it - you might like it! :)

Thanks for the great tips everyone! :p
Here's another question:
Everyone keeps saying how great the pool is. Could someone please tell me what all it has that makes it so spectacular? :earsgirl: :earsboy:

This is our favorite resort and we think it's the best at WDW. We stay concierge and the service is amazing. Even if you don't though, the entire staff is extremely nice. The location couldn't be better, with Epcot and MGM within walking distance. The resort is decorated beautifully and the grounds are gorgeous. Everything is spotless, as well. You can get all of the rates at www.disneyworld.com by going to the resort section.

Tasha+Scott-- I have not actually used the BW pool, although I have heard about it and seen pictures... I know it has a long, twisty slide called "Keister Coaster" that ends when you go through a clown's mouth into the pool itself. I'm pretty sure there is a kiddy pool as well with elephants that squirt water? It looks like a really fun and well-themed pool area. I'm sure many other people know more about it.

I have a question myself: Do you think it's worth it to pay the extra to stay in a WV room rather than a standard view room? If you are staying in a WV room, where is your room likely to be located? Will you see the lagoon, BC, and boardwalk down below? Or will you see the canal where the boat to MGM goes/the pool? Does anyone have any pictures of their room views? Thanks!
