Those using swagbucks ???

I recently signed up for Swagbucks. After looking back through this thread, it seems like some people redeem for smaller gift cards, like the $5 ones and then some redeem for larger amounts. Is there a reason to redeem for the smaller ones more frequently, rather than save up points for larger redemptions?

Most of us don't like to sit on a lot of SBs in case we get banned or sb goes under. I generally cash out for PayPal (except once a month I get a $25 Target gc for 2,200 sb) and $25 is the smallest PayPal gc so I basically cash out every 2,500 sb (6-8 days for me).

Ok thanks. That makes sense. How would a person go about getting banned? Lol. Is there a do and don't list somewhere?

There is a list of dos and don'ts, but it doesn't seem very comprehensive. It's unclear to me what is and isn't okay but people do get banned--some probably deservingly.

Sounds like the group that owns Swagbucks also bought My Points.

I just read the email about this and am wondering what it means. I really only get points from the emails and the rare occasion when the points are better when shopping through them. I think I have enough for a $50 gc, which is what I was waiting to redeem for. It's been over a year and probably 2 since I even redeemed for a gc from them. I stopped doing the survey's when other sites were better and I qualified for more other places. I think I'll see if I can redeem and then get out of the mypoints game, or at least stick with the points for emails until we hear otherwise. I won't accumulate much that way anyway

ETA I'm at 6658 with 24 pending from etsy. I need at least 6800 for a 50 at Macy's, which in the past was always the best value. I guess I'll stick it out until I hit that number.

I finally have taken the time to really look around at what you can do to earn points, & I got 115 today. That's way more than ever before, I guess I didn't realize all the options. But I can't get the games to work. My laptop is old & probably something needs updating. But yay, I'm up to 583. Now if I can remember to visit every day ....

I know I'm dense, but people always talk about the 6 ways to get 10 points each, each day. I have no ideas what those six ways are. Could someone please help this dense old lady out? Lol. Thank you! I think that's the 6 apps--sbtv, movie clips, Indy music, lifestylz, sportly, and entertainnow.

I just checked mine, I have 90 options, Macy's is one of them, but I am now missing Ebay as a redemption option. I have redeemed for it recently, so I know they had it, but it's gone now.

I do mintvine, erewards, viewpoint (not a ton of survey's but when you get them it's generally always because you qualify, pinecone (same thing, but they have to be open for sign ups, they don't always take people or people with your demo) and survey savy, but it's hit or miss. I get the most out of pinecone and mintvine. If you love doing survey's and have the time to do them you can make at least 10 bucks a week at mintvine, but it's what you qualify for so sometimes it takes longer. Overall SB is the best earner for me, then mintvine if I put the time in, pinecone. Erewards is ok but it also depends on what your reward options are, not everyone gets the same, I think it depends on how and when you signed up.

I have done erewards for a long time. Im not always real active on there but I love it for Southwest points!! I havent tried any of the others you mentioned but I might check them out. I do like to do surverys, when I qualify.

I can't get southwest points from them because of when and how I signed up. I get Starbucks or Macy's.

Ty, for some reason I can't find the movie clips or SBTV, let alone get 10 point anything's, lol. I guess I'll keep doing what I'm doing, lol.

I've been trying to read through various posts on how to maximize the number of points one can earn, but I"m confused.

I've been watching an entertainment video (actually is entertaining) for about 15 minutes now and its still going. At completion, I will earn 2 Swagbucks. At this rate, I will earn about 8 points an hour.

I looked through the coupons and could see myself printing a few here and there.

What am I missing? I really only want a $25 Landry's card to supplement my the other gift card that I earned through credit card points
