Those using swagbucks ???

Target ran out of the $50 GC's last week and, like the $100's, they have not been restocked. You will not get the 5% off GC's anymore online. If you go into the store and pay with a Redcard, the 5% still seems to be working there.

Has this actually been confirmed by Target, or did someone just mess up the process and is now freaking out and causing a panic?

It states on the website that you won't get the discount for gc. Add one to your cart & try to go through & pay. Also their RC guidelines now state the discount isn't valid on gift cards.

Well that's a bummer. Still, if we can use the gift cards to purchase online that's not so bad.

We can still use GC's to buy GC's online or in the store. Hopefully, that doesn't change!

Ok. I am going to go in the store today and try and buy disney GC with my target ones. Hopefully it will work! Otherwise I might buy Southwest GC online. I noticed Target has those also and they were instock.

I had no problems using a Target GC to buy Disney GC in the store on Monday.

So, no one else is getting the Spanish ad that locks up the apps? Or others are getting the Spanish ad but it's not locking up your apps. I have not really been able to run my apps fully for the last week b/c I don't have time to babysit this thing. I put my 5yo on it sometimes to click out but he gets bored fast lol.

I've had that ad since probably Saturday or Sunday. There is another one that asks to rotate my device that has to be "x'd" out of and a new one this morning for a video game with Arnold. Very frustrating!

Glad it's not just me. On a couple of the apps, including sbtv, it's the only ad they have apparently and it runs after every stinking clip. I can't even understand what they are advertising lol. I get the 'rotate your device' one also but it's more rare.

I get a bit confused between what ads I see for SB and what adds I see for Perk. I have seen some Spanish language ads, but I think they've all been for Perk and none of them have hung my phone. However, there's a Mountain Dew ad on SB that requires the phone be rotated (no matter it's starting orientation) before the ad will play, and even then, I think I have to X out of it. So I feel your pain, but not with the same exact ad.

Me too!! I have never done this before so I am worried they will say no lol Thats why I am considering switching to Paypal. I am guessing then you just use your paypal debit card??

I bought some apples, bananas and a few cards. That was Monday but in the past, I have used Target GC's to just buy Disney GC's with nothing else in my purchase and I've never had a cashier act like it wasn't allowed or anything. I have even had managers ring me up. t

I bought nothing but a gift card with a gift card on Sunday. No issues.

So how does PayPal work? It had been a long time since I have used my PayPal account and I actually had to go on and order a new card because it's in my husbands name and the last time they only sent him one.
Do you buy the gift card for PayPal and activate it on your PayPal account? And then just use your card?
I also purchase Carnival Cruise GC off eBay when there is a discount code. I am wondering if the GC from SB could then be used towards that too??

Ohhhh well that's even better!! Although if I remember right, when I use my PayPal card you get money back based on how much you spend.

It was only a matter of time. To be honest, it was the greediness of people that caused this - and thats ironic to say on a forum about saving money but when you abuse something, it will be taken away. There were people churning thousands of dollars worth of these cards at ZERO benefit to the store. Target isn't going to keep allowing this to happen while not making any profits. If a DIS'er saves $1000 on a Disney vacation by churning, that is $1000 Target wants in their pocket. Its part of business. With the ease of things exploding on the internet now via social media, more people learn the tricks of the trade than years prior. Combine that with the sheer amounts they were churning and here we are.

I very much look for eBay to reduce or do away with eBay bucks eventually as well.

I agree ;-) And I am one who churns a fair amount of money. However, I do not discuss it outside of the DIS thread for GC deals. No social media for me. I felt it was best to contain it but I know plenty others felt it was something to publicize through youtubes, blogs, FB, etc.
