those that like crocs shoes

I read tons about these shoes on the budget board but with my treatments and feeling so tired I just could never get to the store to try them.
I went to the store yesterday and all they had were two pair, size 9 and 11. The 9's were huge, I normally wear 8 1/2 - 9 but I think I would wear a size 7 in these.
They are so light I couldn't believe it. Very nice looking shoes.
I went to the payless site and they had them listed in black in size 7 but every time I put in the order it came back saying my shopping cart was empty.
I would love a pair, but I guess I have to wait till next year and buy them early. Peggie

I love crocs but haven't seen the payless version. I think, when it comes to comfort, I'd go for the crocs; although I really like payless for shoes I wear for short periods of time, I'll spend the cash for shoes I wear for lots of walking.

I've never tried the Payless version but I have an imitation pair of Crocs that I purchased for $5 (Komodo). They are supposed to resemble the BEACH model of Croc. I also have a real pair of Cayman Crocs and the two shoes do not compare. Caymans are far more comfortable. They seem to have more cushion in the heel and instep. The imitation brand is one-step above a flip flop sandal. Nothing wrong with that but for long walks and Disney style days, I'd rather spend the extra money.

I have a pair of Crocs, and tried on the Payless ones once because I loved the colors they had. They still seemed like they would be comfortable, but not as comfy as the crocs. It seemed like they might not be as wide.

I have a payless pair and a Crocs pair. They are both very comfortable.

Has anyone tried on the knock offs that are now at Wal-Mart? I tried a pair the other paid because they had pretty pastel colors. It was like walking in a hard plastic boot.

I saw those yesterday and thought 'Oh, Croc-offs!' I had a little private giggle and went on with my shopping... :flower:

I did the same thing. I have a pair of Beach Crocs and tried the Croc-offs at Payless on and they were good, but didn't seem quite as good. Definitely a good cheap choice to see if the style is a good choice without paying $30.

I have the real croc's I wear for work....LOVE THEM, they make my feet :). I also have the knock-off payless sandle kind and I also have to say they make my feet :) also.

I bought the payless version a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to see if I liked them before spending $32 on the real thing. I love them! They are very light and comfortable. I have worn them out for walks several times and have been verry happy with them. One time, the place where the strap fastens to the shoe kind of rubbed my foot, but just that once. Maybe I was walking funny that day! :teeth: I am going out to buy a pair of crocs this afternoon ( maybe 2 pairs ).

My DM and I each bought a pair of the Payless version of the Birkenstock sandal type today for $4/pair (clearance-red and black pairs) plus it was BOGO, so we actually paid $6 for 2 pairs. :cool1: What a deal! I wanted to check out Payless before we tried out the real crocs. We drove 1/2 hr. to Gottschalks and tried on the crocs( Beach style-I think) we didn't like the feel of the bumps on the sole-do all the real "crocs" have a similar sole type? Does it stop bothering you after you wear them for awhile?

We checked out a few more Payless' and also bought 2 pair of the Clog style (Beach again?)in black. They weren't on clearance but they were BOGO. 2 pairs for $22.50. Found a pair for my DD5, in pink for $12.99. I still want to try a few of the other styles of the "crocs", hopefully can do it before we leave.

25 days and counting! :grouphug:

i have both. real crocs in the caymen style and pink payless croc-offs. the payless ones are not as wide. otherwise i think they're nearly identical.

i got my payless ones for $10 on clearance.

i have the knock off version from payless and they are GREAT!!!! I have the ones that look like Crocs and the ones that look like Birkes...and that is all I have pretty much wore all summer.....now with our WDW trip coming up and my husband is determined for me to wear "real" shoes...my poor feet won't know what to do in "real" shoes heheheehehehe...I think I will have to sneak them in the suitcase as well hehehehe

I own a pair of the payless version and I also own a pair of Crocs Caymans. The Crocs are definetely more sturdy in the footbed. I wear the payless ones around the house and the Crocs outside. I just got back from 10 days in the parks and out of all the shoes I took (including two pairs of broken in snaekers) the Crocs were the winners. I am amazed by how dry and comfortable my feet stayed. My family now refers to my Crocs as my happy shoes. By the way I saw lots of croc wearers in all the parks. My nieces even made a game of spotting the Crocs.

I have narrow feet. I always have to buy narrow shoes. Would the Crocs work for me? Do you wear them with socks or without?

go to a store in your area that has crocs, bring a pair of socks and try them both ways to see and feel if they r what you want. In this area i have seen them at Dick's . hopefully u have that store in your area

I saw them last night at our Sports Authority store. I was going to try them (the clogs) but the size 6-7 was to small and the 8-9 felt too big :guilty: I usually wear a 7 - 7 1/2 shoe. Has anyone else had this problem?

That's the problem I have been having with the real crocs, that's why I started this question. The 6-7 seemed to big around the buttom part of my foot, but the size 5 was too small. :confused3

Most of the Crocs in the stores are the Beaches which come in small, medium, etc. I never could get those to fit. They were either too small or falling off my foot. I must have tried them on ten times hoping something would change.

The Cayman style comes in whole sizes. I bought some from www.taylorshoes.com. They fit perfectly. I liked them so much that I've ordered from them twice since. Great service. You get a personal email within hours and they mail them the next day. Shipping is $5.

The Cayman is also slightly narrower than the Beaches. I often wear a narrow width, and I can wear them. There's enough room that anyone with a medium width shouldn't have any problems either.
