Those that have done Tables in Wonderland....

We absolutely feel that TiW is worth it. One of us will always have an Annual Pass in order to qualify for TiW.

We just got back from WDW today. First time with TIW saved 50.00 over the price of the card in 7 days.

I have done all versions of the DDP and saved money
I have done TIW and saved money

and this coming trip I am doing a combo of DDP and TIW and hope to save again. we dont do adult beverages so my savings come strictly from food.

you should decide if you would save money on the DDP..like you are doing 1 TS a day..do the things you get on the DDP fit with what you may order and does that cost looking competitive with what you pay on the DDP?

then compare that same meal on the TIW dont forget on the DDP to include your snacks(are you a snack person) and your cs meal

So May 9th is a blackout date? Craaaaaaaaaap.

We just happen to be down over that long weekend (Thurs to Mon) using TIW for the first time and have two TS meals planned that day (GFC brekfast and LTT lunch). @#$& :headache:

Great googly moogly... :sad2:

WE will be there the exact same dates :goodvibes

TiW is GREAT for us. Our family of 3 can not seem to save money with a dining plan no matter how hard we try. DS14 eats like a bird. It is really a stretch for him to finish a kids meal, so we can not justify buying a dining plan that counts him as an adult. He likes to share an appetizer with DH, then order a kids entree. Sometimes he will order dessert, sometimes not.

Having the flexibility to just order what we want at each meal saves us a lot of money. If DS ever WANTED to order from the adult menu then he certainly could, but the kids menus at the signature restaurants are pretty decent, and he is perfectly happy with that. If he ever starts to eat regular size portions we will look at the dining plans again, but for now we love the TIW card.

We are planning on buying APs at DTD once we arrive. Can we purchase TIW at the same time? Assuming this would be the case, but the planner in me wants to assume nothing!

TIW cards may be purchased at any Guest Relations window at the parks and Downtown Disney.

Just bought ours at MK - it took a few seconds! I kid you not - I'm assuming they got the personal info from our AP, but we didn't need to fill in an application at all. We gave our AP, she printed our card, paid on VISA, and away we went!

Tiger :)

We do both TIW and DDP and it works out great for my family. We do some 2 point restaurants and shows and we really like doing a table service every night of our stay so we use TIW on nights when we eat in places that (for us, this is just a personal opinion, not everyone will agree) are not worth using even 1 point. An example is the Plaza in MK, and California Grill (it's 2 points but we don't feel it's worth 2 points), love them but we pay OOP and use TIW. We also like wine with dinner (we are by no means big drinkers, but wine is nice and I usually get a couple of glow cube mixed drinks, hey it's vacation!! LOL!!) and TIW works with drinks too. You really have to just sit down and see what will work for your family. Everyone is different, not everyone likes to have a sit down meal every night. Also make sure that the TIW can be used in places you are looking into. Have fun!

Enjoy The Magic!!

We love TIW. We have done the dining plan in the past and found that it no longer was attractive to us when they eliminated the appetizers. And the deluxe dining plan is way too much food. In fact the regular dining plan is too much food for us! The last time we used it I ended up buying about 15 bags of candy to use up all our snack credits on the last day!

We do about 3 trips a year now and usually eat at least one table service meal per day. We recover the cost of the card during the first trip.

DH and I just returned from WDW this past Tuesday and we had AP and TiW. We were there for 7 days and ate TS meals all but one day. We saved about $111 (after the $75 cost that's a $35 savings) with the TiW. We stayed at SSR and used TiW everyday at the Artist Palette. For us TiW is much easier than a DP. We'll be going back to WDW in October and can use our discounts again. So for us, it's our preference.

I was just figuring out how much we saved the other day. Hubby and I took a 5 day trip. We ate at Olivia's (breakfast), Captain's Grille (breakfast), Il Mulino, Citricos, Artist Point, Kouzzina, Sanaa (lunch), and Tutta Italia. We saved $143.00. The card cost $75, so we are ahead $68, so far.

We are taking another trip in a few months with my adult children (there will be six of us). I'm sure we will be saving ALOT more.

I forgot to say that we saved alot of money with the great perk of free valet with the TIW card.
