Are any of you having trouble now, or had trouble earlier with your school and gaining credits?
Or even just finding the people you need to talk to?
Please tell me my moronic school isnt the only one that gives students problems!

On a happier note.... Has is "hit" you yet that in just a few short weeks, we are going to be working for the most magical place on earth? During the 50th celebration? Being in the buisness of making dreams come true??

I still dont think it has sunk in for me. I just hope that im not at a resort with my merchandise role. But hey, im going to make a least one persons dreams come true in my 5 months there..... thats enough for me :goodvibes

No, you're not the only one. I emailed the co-op director about two weeks ago asking about credit opportunities and any other details, and I still haven't heard back yet. I figure I should just go and make a face-to-face appointment, but it would be nice to have my letter answered.

And, going off on a tangent a little bit....is it freezing where everybody else lives? Two weeks ago it was still 70 degree weather, and today it is miserable and snowing....we're getting 2 inches tonight. :cold:

Its rather chilly here as well... I woke up this morning to amazing amounts of fog. I couldnt even see this bank of the river, never mind the other side. Snow however, we thankfully havent gotten to that stage.... yet....

No, it most certainly is NOT freezing here. We've got windows open and fans on, it's still quite warm here.

(Personally, I'm sick of this warm weather crapola ... but I get to go back to Michigan on Friday, so I'll get my little dose of cold weather, and then it's back to the heat)

Well, we got our first snow fall of the season....it's around 17 degrees out now! EEK! Time to bust out the heavy duty winter gear....and think about the warmness I'll be going to in a short while. :)

Actually I have a meeting with some advisors tomorrow about credit options, so I'll let yall know how that turns out.

Well, don't worry, once you get back here to Michigan, you'll have a dose of cold weather. :) and I think it's going to last for a loooong time...in my town we've got snow predicted every day until Saturday the 26th. :cold:

Yep, we've busted out our heavy-duty winter gear, as well. Here in Michigan, it seems that just as we put our coats away at the end of Spring, we're bringing them out again right away, because the cold weather hits again so soon. And, we complain...but, living in Michigan, I guess we should be used to the fact that this is going to happen every year, whether we like it or not. :earseek:

Forecast for Ann Arbor was calling for snow on Saturday ... football in the snow, the way it was meant to be played! :)

Don't worry, you're not the only one having problems with your school.
My school has been making it about as hard as possible it seems....and after a lot of negotiations and emails, messages, phone calls and meetings, they decided to turn me down for any credit. Man. Ah well, I plan to take a couple of the Disney classes anyway because they seem really useful--don't fear, I'm in the "my school is mean" boat with you. :grouphug:

I'm sorry they gave you such a hard time. I wish all schools would give credit for doing the program...I still haven't heard back from my school people about the program, so I still have no idea about credits. :confused3

Its not so much that they are mean... though I am ready for them to tell me 0 credit, its more that they are STUPID! Nobody knows where to send me, who to talk to. I have been to pretty much every department that I could think of. Even the department that deals with study abroad students. You would think that would be the best bet. Well thats what you would THINK. Of course they cant help me. They sent me to the records office.... what are they going to do? Same as everyone else so far.... nothing. Ha oh well such is life.

Steve

sucks for you guys, cal poly san luis obipso doesn't go below 65 during the day all year, never will hit 95 either.

haha, oh Horizons, that plight is very familiar! It's so screwed up isn't it? They look at you like you're asking them for disrections to Pompeii or something. Keep plugging away at it, becasue the prize in the end is going to be worth it! Yay for Disney! :bounce:

Ok here's my deal...

I have the option of getting 12 credits from UW-Milwaukee (6 for an online journal, 3 for a LONG paper thingy, and 3 for one of Disney's courses). It's a very well thought out plan by the university if I do say so myself. HOWEVER...my issue is that the type of credit they'll give me (humanities and/or social science) I don't need. I'll have more than enough credits to graduate AND because of my honors courses I will have no trouble meeting the general humanities/social science requirements. Hmmmm....I need to go talk with the honors folks and see if I can get some credit from them, cuz that'll help out a lot more!

I know I shouldn't be complaining because hearing what everyone else is going through and how "mean" your schools are, I am very lucky to have this option open to me. I think I'll end up doing at least 6 credits for insurance purposes...but I have to talk with them too. So much to do, so little time! yikes!

Good luck to everyone dealing with credit issues! Keep pestering your schools, maybe yall can start something like the online journal (cuz that sounds relatively easy...500 word entry once a week for the entire time you're there)

the nickname natty, all that reminds me of is the nectar of the gods that is $50 a keg for natural ice beer.

I get the run around at school when asking questions about the CP. I just decided to forget about it and not do it, but then they e-mailed me saying that they were going to have a meeting about it.

As far as I know, my school doesn't give credit for the CP. They had given me an explanation as to why not, but it confused the hell out of me.
