Those of you who had no trouble getting US Res #

I phoned the WDW US vacation number - its on the other post and just asked for my US reservation number in order to make dining reservations next month. The process took about 10 minutes as they searched for my reservation using my surname and arrival date.

Disney UK told me they can't locate it themselves and you have to phone the US - I think if you have booked a fligth inclusive package they can get it for you though :confused3

Cool, thanks sweetie. :) Might try that now!

I just phoned - they wouldn't give me the number. :(

I phoned WDW UK reservation line, I pressed to get through to ammend an existing booking. I simply stated that I wanted my US reservation number as friends had recently had trouble making their ADR's without it. The CM said I would need to hold for a moment whilst she contacted guest services for it. I was on hold maybe 2 minutes at the most and the CM came back and gave me my number. It was very easy, but from what others have said I think I might have got lucky and got a CM who really knew what she was doing!

ETA, I don't have a flight inclusive package booked, just room, tickets and free dining.

Try again - or ask to speak to a manager. My cm didnt understand why I wanted it, she kept asking if I was a travel agent, but she was very polite and did it anyway she probably thought I was just some crazy Brit!

Argh, see mine said only dining could then phone through to guest services to get it for me!

Maybe I need to try again and hope for a different CM!

URGH - just done it again.

This guy told me the system has changed and they do your dining reservations by surname now. I said 'but a couple of my friends have phoned this line recently and you were able to contact guest services for the number'

And he says they are no longer able to contact guest services.

ARGH!

I'd made my ADRs - the CM had to ask all my home details to find my booking ref. At the end I asked if she could give me my US booking number in case I needed it and she gave it me straight off her own computer. Maybe they can only find it if they've already found all your details to make ADRs.

When I called Disney UK to add the DDP to my booking, I asked the lady at Openride for the number. She didn't think I'd need it, however I told her I'd heard of problems when trying to book ADRs without it, so she gave it to me.

I called at Downtown Disney last week to do a few more ADR's for August. I had our US reservation number I got from when I rang a few week back.
The CM was not very experienced but he told me it was no use with the new system, only way to make ADR's now was by name and post code. Even though it took him straight to my original ADR's it took him almost 10 mins to access the system to add more.
My booking does not have flights included, just room, tix & DDP.
Glad I rang and did 90+10 when I did as I got everything I asked for at times I wanted, last week I tried adding more and times available were poor and Chef Mickeys had no availabilty for the 5 evenings I tried for. Still have 3 more TS credits to use but fed up of planning them.

We phoned the WDW US number and told them that we booked thro Disney.co.uk and did not have a US reservation number.
Gave them details of where we are staying and dates etc.. and we worked from there:yay:
Hope it works for you too!

You will be suprised, there does tend to be a good bit of availability in my past experiences when actually at WDW during free dinning. We have changed several booking when there and actually made reservations for the same day. Last year we had no problems getting spoodles (granted its now gone) for the same day, 50s prime time, coral reef and a couple of others.
Granted you are highly unlikely to get the mega popular ones such as LeCellier and california grill but not every thing will be fully booked. I also think at many they keep so many tables available and even overbook as not everyone turns up every time. Myself we missed a meal at Brown Derby and I am sure we will not be the first.

I simply contacted disney dining, explained to the CM that I wanted to be "super prepared" for when my 90 day window opens and asked him for my US reservation number. It took a matter of minutes before been given it by the CM.

No problem whatsoever :thumbsup2

It is rather a long number though. Hope he's given me the right one :scared1:

Upto this trip we had never bothered much with ADR's, just made them same day or day before while out there, even Xmas we got into Boma no problem(lots of empty tables) In park dining was no chance of availability, all booked up but that was Xmas ~ New Year, busiest time of year. August I think we will be OK getting places last minute.

I managed to make my ADRs without it though it did take a while - trying to convince them I was saying "a" not "e" when I was spelling stuff and having to do the whole "a for apple" and they do need both first and surname so if the booking is in the name of your partner (mine was) they'll need their name not yours. She was able to give me my Disney reference though once she found my booking. That was a few weeks ago now though.
