... to WDW of course: how are you feeling? Are you taking any extra precautions? General comments, suggestions for others If you have flown recently, etc? I’m curious.

I flew over the weekend (not to WDW). I have never been on a plane so clean in my life TBH and everyone was taking the mask rules seriously, especially the flight crew who were gently reminding people to cover their mouth AND nose. I still didn't use my tray table and wiped down my seat on my own, but I felt perfectly safe. The only thing I don't get is the whole leaving the middle seat empty thing, like the person in front of/behind me is just as close and breathing the same air as me...that seems like a vanity measure, but I'll take the extra elbow room!

We flew United round trip this past week and were surprised at how the flight attendants acted. On the departure flight, one attendant had her mask under her nose. On the return flight, one attendant kept his mask completely under his chin whenever he was in the galley (so no coverage at all), including during boarding and preparing drinks. First class was completely full (except one side of the front row, which was required to be empty).

I've been patiently awaiting the new season of The Amazing Race. It's been in the can since 2018!!

Separated by setbacks and masks; plus, airplane air is mostly ventlsted, not the same air circulating.

We flew Southwest last week. Both coming and going it was by far the most pleasant travel experience we’ve had in years. No security lines, reduced capacity on the flight, reduced capacity everywhere we went during our trip. Our flight was only 1.5 hours so we declined the snack service, never removing our masks for the entire flight. The planes were in tip top shape. It was no big deal and it was so great for our mental health to get away. Enjoy your trip!

We flew Delta at the end of June, and it was not good.

Due to leaving the middle seat empty and an error on the part of a ticketing agent months ago (she put us in 15A and 15B), our comfort plus seats were changed to coach (back of the plane coach). BUT, they didn't tell us until we were in our comfort plus seats AND the plane was about to take off. They had upgraded another passenger to the third seat, so we were just out of luck. I have a fear of confined spaces - the extra legroom in C+ helps with that anxiety. So, my mom went all momma bear and tried to discuss a solution to keep our assigned seats...in an airplane that was fully loaded and ready to take off. They loudly (and angrily) told us that we could move to the back of the plane or get off of the plane. So, that sucked. Luckily, the upgraded man was very nice and agreed to let us stay in our C+ seats as if we were one travel party. Not the best way to start a vacation.

I had a feeling this was going to happen again on the way back, so I was first in line at the gate counter. Yep. They did it again. At least this time, we knew in advance. Also, they were able to put us in the exit row.

Finally, on the small plane from ATL to our tiny home airport, The family directly behind us removed their masks immediately upon being seated. The unmasked little girl (7 or 8) was happily screaming about being so excited (for at least 45 minutes). The parents kept getting up and switching seats to different areas of the plane. I definitely did not feel safe.

All of the being said, we did not get Covid from our adventure, and we had an amazing time on our vacation. We are also flying again in a week on American.

We flew after Memorial Day. Couldn’t resist cheap fare on allegiant (whom we have only flown 10 or so times since they came to my small market)

Cons:

Surprise! they had sold the middle seats after I was told they weren’t


& that they weren’t making people wear masks, although they did provide a boarding packet with disposable mask, wipes & gloves

Pros:

They do treat veterans very well when it comes to free bags & seat assignments. At least we were able to get an exit row for the two of us. The other ones only had 1 person in them

& we hit a nice lull in Myrtle beach, the 2nd week after them just reopening for Memorial Day. Between their current CV-19 numbers & recommened quaratine for those coming back to PA, it’s off the table now for us...driving or flying.

Coming back, i tried to hold my breath deplaning thru terminal to grab our bags

We just flew Southwest to Orlando. It couldn't have been better. Both airports were dead. We also flew at a somewhat "off" time which may have helped. Only 38 people on our plane. They actually had to spread people out to distribute the weight correctly. Everyone we saw on the plan followed the mask policy. It was a little less in the airports but the majority of people followed the rules. We cleaned down our seats on the plane but I have been doing that for years so nothing new for us.

Ugh, yeah we fly out of PIT too, and I am dreading the tram.
