Those looking for a pin....Instead of calling...

The link wasn't showing any pins for me before yesterday ( under any names ) and I knew I did not have any ( from calling/booking recently ) and now I have received a Dis Dest. e mail kid's s/p/d/free for summer ( again ) I had this one previously, which expired I think. Now it still shows nothing. Maybe it takes time to update?

This has been my experience also. I didn't think the link really worked. I actually have three active pin codes on my name (form emails and calling) and I only get the Contact not found URL when I try it.

Could someone who can actually see PIN codes copy their URL while looking at the pin codes and paste it into this thread? You can replace your actual name with "<your name>" or something.

The link posted in my OP IS the link that takes you to the page where a pin would be if you had a pin URL (hence the reason I posted). If you don't have one, you get the generic page. I'm Sorry you are having trouble, but if you have three pins already, I would just call WDW directly to use one of them instead of worrying about whether or not you have a personal web page to go with it.

The reason for my post is to make it easier for some instead of sitting on hold forever to ask a CM.

Just wanted to say, "thank you" summerrluvv. The link worked perfectly. However, to clear up some confusion, I too have received multiple pins. The first one was received as a postcard in the mail, and the above link worked exactly as described (I read your post before I received the postcard). A couple of weeks later I received an email pin (associated with the same email account as the first pin). And surprise, surprise, the link no longer works for me. So it seems to me, that if you receive multiple pin offers, the link stops working. But as you said, who cares now that I know I have mutliple offers. You enabled me to find out sooner than I would have which I really appreciate.

Is the pin number the same as a package code ?

I tried this out and got the following

$473*
per adult, based on double occupancy
for stays most nights 8/16/09-10/3/09 at select
Disney Value Resorts in a standard room.
That's a savings of $199.

Offers can be booked through 6/21/09.

Mention package code XXX It was a three digit alaphetical code. I did not put it in here because I wasn't sure if it is only good for one use ? I might book . If I don't book I'd be glad to share it with someone else if they want it. Assuming that is okay to share a package code ? It's all confusing to me.

Are you required to buy a ticket for each day you are there ? What if you only want to go 3 days and go to Space Center a day and maybe Beach or other activity. I'm thinking it might be cheaper just to buy the room by itself and pay for tickets and food.

Thanks.

That sounds like just a general package code and not a PIN. PIN codes are usually 13 or 15 numbers - as opposed to something like "NZZ" for a package deal, like free dining. (The dates you mentioned are the same as free dining...might be what they're offering you.)

For a package, you just have to buy one day passes for each person in your party. You can buy any number you want, but everyone has to have the same number days/options. If you add dining, its for the same number of nights you stay, so if you plan to be offsite a couple days, it might not pay off for you.

I did this tonight under a few names in our family none for us, but I did find that two of the promos running now were for disneyland and another for free dining which is the regular one anyone can get. when I put in a name that didn't have a code it just took me to the regular booking. I got the 2 offers twice under different names so I wonder if they are the only 2 going on right now. hhhmmm

I had tried every combination of name of every person in my family (nick names, abbreviated names, etc) and nothing showed up. Yesterday I looked in an old yahoo email account that we almost never use any longer and there was a Goofy PIN for Adults play at kid prices. MY FIRST PIN CODE!!! Now I just have the problem of it expires TODAY so we have to make a quick decision. I've already put a trip on hold under the code so we have a few extra days to decide.

These are called "Personal URLS" (or "PURLS" pronounced "pearls"). When you visit the site, they can trigger a notification back to someone at Disney that you looked at it.

I use this in my business - I market materials with PURLS and as soon as someone types in their PURL, I get an email saying they were at the site and I can follow up with them because by visiting the site, they showed an interest.

Perhaps Disney is doing the same thing.

thanks for the info. :thumbsup2
I wish I had a code but it's a great tool to use to keep checking!! Instead of calling and asking.

When I check my name the site comes up with a pin, but for someone else. (I have a common name.) But I did get this exact email for the same thing. (Free dining in dec!) Odd. I'm going to check my family's names.:thumbsup2

How cool! I checked mine and I have one for free dining through December...doesn't help me for my January trip but I'll keep checking!

OMG!!! I just entered this site and it was just the regular Disney site with the regular offers. Well, no more than 5 minutes later I have a PIN CODE in my email box!!!!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!
