OK. So being that this is the first time I'll be flying solo at WDW, I was hoping to get some advice from some fellow solo travelers.

What do you do for pictures? Usually I have a friend or family member to help capture those Disney memories. Do you just ask a CM? Another random person?

Any advice would be appreciated!

I discovered on my last solo trip that I wasn't taking any photos of myself, LOL. But I would think any cast member would be glad to take your photo, or random stranger as you said. You could offer to take some family's photo then ask if they wouldn't mind taking yours.

I usually go around the parks on my own while others go on rides I wont go on. Basically any Cast Member should be willing to take it but usually I get Photopass people to take a photo on my camera and on a photopass this way you get a really nice photo (usually). Also they tend to be dotted around in the positions you would be taking pictures in anyway. If at a restaurant or what ever ask the waiter.

I have asked guests to take my picture when I am traveling solo. I have yet to find someone who has refused my request. Of course, I usually ask someone who I have seen take pictures with their own camera. And I have also asked CM's, especially when I want to have a picture taken with a character.

Just back from my 1st solo trip - out of the 200 pics I took, I'm in just 5. I asked random strangers to take them & everyone was more than happy. I usually approached people that were taking a pic & asked if they wanted me to take one of all of them together, if they could return the favor by taking one of me.

Go up to someone that just took a picture of their family and ask if they wouldn't mind taking yours....then (without handing over your camera) walk up to their group, join their family and wait...:rotfl2:

(I'm sorry, but the thought popped into my head and I just had to share it!)
