I listened to her songs during my bike ride this morning. She's a national treasure and her music brings me happiness and joy. Even the sad ones.

I didn't even know Dolly had a sister until those recent statements. Perhaps she was just trying to gather more followers by posting what she did? Kidney stones isn't generally life threatening unless she has other complications she doesn't care to discuss. I don't think celebrities need to share every detail of their lives and probably why I don't use social media.

More than one, actually. I do remember that she grew up in a big family.

But I agree with you that it must be hard to be in the public eye like that - you want to keep medical stuff private, but so many people worry about you when you change a tour date or something.

Celebrity is definitely a balancing act!
