those driving from houston...

we are driving from houston and want to make majority of drive on first day, hopeing to only have 4-5 hours on second day. any suggestions on places to stay mid-way?

Tallahassee is about 4 hours from Orlando. Marianna has a variety of hotel chains and is about 5 hours from Orlando. Please note that Tallahassee is in Eastern Time and Marianna is in Central Time.

Thanks! We are pulling the kids a bit early from school, hoping to get off by 1pm. I can't wait...just trying to figure out the weather and what to pack.

When we drive we always stop in Marianna, FL. It leaves about 4-5 hours on the second day of driving. It is a really nice little town to stop in and is right off of the freeway. We always get to Disney the second day in time for late lunch reservations. On the way home we usually stop in Alabama, so the second day is short also. Good luck.
