Thor Love and Thunder

We are the opposite - the first two Thor movies are among my least favorite of all the Marvel movies - just sooo slow and boring. Thor Ragnarok is probably in my top 3 Marvel movies. Love and Thunder I didn't like as much as Ragnarok but still far better than the first two. Thor is supposed to be cheesy and silly. This one did feel a bit uneven though. I missed Loki. And as much as I usually like Natalie Portman, I can't get into her character in any of the Thor movies. I thought the goats were hilarious!
I haven't seen L&T yet, but I also preferred Ragnarok well over the first two. Part two is especially dreary and slow.
The clips I've seen of L&T definitely look more comedic than previous Thors, but so be it. The events of Thor up to the point before L&T have become so irreverent and weird that anything goes at this point. You've got Korg and Miek, and the Guardians, so it's pretty much a crapshoot of wackiness. I want to see it.

I'm hoping Loki comes back at some point before his next season. Multiverse of Madness would have at least given us a chance to see another instance of Loki in some variation. I guess Marvel wants to seriously pace out this whole Kang/Multiverse thing.

This one is pretty divisive from what I can tell.

I enjoyed it myself (mostly) while in the theatre, but by the time I came home, I was like "you know... that wasn't that great." Wild tone shifts are very on-brand for Watiti, but it just didn't seem to work this time.

I finally saw it over the weekend, and it almost seemed like 2 different movies. I thought it was okay, but ultimately disappointing.

I loved Ragnarok, and thought Love & Thunder was OK. L&T started off way too jokey/tried too hard before settling down. I personally found Lightyear much more enjoyable than the Minions. I fell asleep during Minions, but I think choosing a theater with seats that practically fold out flat was probably a bad idea :rotfl2:

Oh my goodness...no way we could've slept through Minions. It was a packed house with a loud crowd. Lots of energy and laughter throughout the film.

I finally watched it and loved it. Touching, and fun! Even the Thor theater group returned.

Seeing Eternity was pretty surprising. This character was typically in old Doctor Strange comics, and was always one of the most trippiest Marvel characters.

I liked it, but they did lean a little too hard into the comedy at times. Ragnarok had a great balance. After watching the "Making of" show, though, I can't blame just Taika for that. It seems like Chris was really into making it funny, too.

I just saw this a few days ago. Ragnarok is on my list of favorite MCU films (along with the 2 GoTG films), so I certainly don't mind the humor at all. It wasn't horrific, but it was definitely not as good as Ragnarok and I found it to be unbalanced. I did enjoy Crowe as Zeus. I don't think I'll watch it a second time but it was okay. MCU has definitely lost lots of steam though.

I really liked it. I don't mind Thor becoming the funny superhero, it's way better than when Hulk tries to make jokes.

I hated it. It was as bad as Batman v Superman (which is my #1 worst supers movie of the last decade, so now it has company). Badly (badly) edited, not funny, weird scene choices, bad dialogue, no real character development outside of 2 folks (with most other characters just existing for cameos) and tonally just horrific.

Thankfully, I only paid $3 to see it on the National Cinema Day...I probably should have waited to pay $0.

I know I won't be seeing Thor 5 if Taika is the director...

PS - There was a good dark movie to be made if the movie kept going with their 1st 5 minute scene...that movie was not made, or even considered.

I loved Ragnarok, Love and Thunder was likable enough, but not near as good. I was entertained, had a few chuckles and a few eye rolls and didn’t want to fall asleep. I actually prefer that my superhero movies don’t take themselves too seriously.

Crowe was pretty good! I admit I really have no interest in Hercules in future movies.

Thor's one of the few remaining original Avengers, I'm curious how many more movies he's in for at this point.

Edit: I preferred Ragnarok as well, and Hela was a great villain. Gorr was ok, I appreciate Bale and the writers trying to give him a sympathetic side, but his personality was pretty much just dominated by this mystic sword.

Just paused think I am, about third way through not overly impressed.
I liked the last one the most but this one is pretty bad so far(IMO). I am not a crazy see all the Marvel movies. I collected tons of Marvel comics even Rocket Racoon when I was little, and like Marvel movies for the most part but this seems iffy.
Sadly my favorite Marvel superhero(Though I think Warner Brothers made) movie so far has been Deadpool 2. I thought their portrayal of Juggernaut has been the best super villain depicted so far in any movie. I do like Gorr character but I think his first appearance was way after I collected.

I love it! Watched it again this week after seeing it in the theaters and enjoyed it just as much. Then again I'm a fan of this kind of comedy. I also loved all of the Guns 'n' Roses parts
