Thomas Cook $2 to £1 this weekend on TC's

I paid with a Halifax "Visa" debit card and was not charged anything extra. We were warned last year that there may be a charge but apparently Halifax do not do this (Good job too or I would complain )
Perhaps it depends on which bank you are with.

Oh well I'm Bank of Scotland which is part of Halifax now - I'm sure we paid the actual holiday with the same card but from the joint a/c and it was way more and we were never charged. I will be checking though!! From a visa debit card you wouldn't be charged for a cash advance though as it'd just be coming out of your account. mmm! Oh well will be checking my bank statements - fingers crossed!

I've just used my switch card spending £1000 to get $2000, if they charge me extra I will be incredibly angry as I only agreed £1000 so that is how much should come out of my account! I did save about £107 with the Thomas Cook deal

Hi All

Not long to go for use. Got the tickets ordered yesterday from Theme Parks Tickets Direct and also took advantage of the $2 - £1 at Thomas Cook. £1000 got us exactly $2000 US travellers cheques. They said the deal may last a little longer so might get the rest Wednesday.

We checked before with the HSBC, paid using switch and no charge by either Thomas Cook or HSBC. A true, 'buy one, get one free' deal.

Thomas Cook will be repeating the offer again soon!
Thats what they told me, the girl said it could be this week but she will ring me when they do the offer again
