I have seen "THIS" posted as replies to some posts and cannot figure out what it means. What is "THIS" an abbreviation for? I looked on the abbreviations page, but didn't see it. I feel dumb :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I could be wrong...but I think it means you agree with or "second" what the PP just said. Anyone else feel free to correct !

I don't think it's an abbreviation for something...I think (and if I'm wrong then man am I going to feel stupid) it just means that the person posting "THIS" is agreeing with what was previously posted, or whatever post they have quoted...you know? I guess it's sort of a shortened way of saying "I agree with this". :goodvibes
I'm still trying to figure out some of the secret codes on here myself!

Yeah I've always seen it as people agreeing with a PP, often written like this:

^This

I tell ya, I have been racking my brain trying to figure that out. All these abbreviations confuse me to no end. I'm catching on slowly, but man, it makes reading the responses difficult sometimes. :rotfl:

Last night I saw in response to someone's post the following:

THIS absolutely.

and

THIS exactly.

LOL So I thought I would ask. Now I do feel dumb!! :lmao:

It is posted by someone too lazy to have an original thought who agrees with another poster. Generally if you are doing any thinking, you can post similar information worded differently so whoever is asking the questions can see it from multiple viewpoints and learn better.

Tru dat.

Heehee.

HA HA HA! Thanks so much for clearing it up. I mean, why not just type 1 more letter and say "agree"????? Instead they confuse us newbies into thinking THIS is actually some secret abbreviation and make us go insane trying to figure it out. :rotfl: :confused3

Wow, that seems kind of harsh. I've also had the not so nice experience of being yelled at when I did use my own words to show that I agreed with what another poster thought. Seems you can't win, no matter how you post sometimes.

Off topic, but I noticed in your signature that by your ticker there is a sign. Usually that means you have...'t sure you noticed it or knew how to fix it.

For someone who is usually so helpful, your post is very rude.

Thank you for the advice. I did notice it, but did not know how to remove it. :) I'm learning, slowly HA HA HA

I don't know all the abb. either. Like KWIM? What the heck does that mean? I am not lazy to look up but thought it would be quicker to ask here. Sorry to take over your thread.

"you KWIM" is you "know what I mean?"

LOL oh that makes since now. Most words I just prefer to spell out. Much easier on my brain then to try and remember all the abbreviations. :)

Thanks so much for your help.

I learned by playing until I got it! Sometimes when I change out my tickers I still have to play to make everything work, and I can't figure out how some people have so many sparkly and large things when I can barely get my stuff to fit!!!

"you KWIM" is you "know what I mean?"

See, that would've been tough for me too. I am a pretty smart chick, but for some reason when I saw the K I started thinking only K words where the K wasn't silent. I couldn't seem to get past the word kick. Maybe it's the martial artist in me, but I kept thinking: "Kick while I ...hmmm....what could M stand for??? Kids whine in multitudes. No, that can't be it. Keep with it man. No, that's weird. Keep wiping it mom. Well, no. That would be a kid speaking, not a Diser. Hmmm..." Yes. It was that stupid. To be honest, the first time I saw that was in this thread, but until I got to your post it never dawned on me that it could be a silent K. Yes I homeschool my kids. Everyone is allowed to have those moments I guess. I can usually figure them out, but that one stumped me for all of 30 seconds while I read up to your post. I'm old. Leave me alone. :confused3
