Is it just me, or does it seem like they forgot to put the mint in?

Seem fine to me, smaller though AND I had to give them up due to reflux. :sad2:

It is another thing "on the list".

Could also be a different baker. There are 2 that make them depending on your local council

I dont eat thin mints but I am having some Thank you berry much ones with tea this morning

The Keebler Grasshopper cookies are a dead ringer for Thin Mints!

Ours are okay mint-wise, but I've noticed a funky aftertaste this year that I've never noticed before. I think it's from the chocolate.

Am I the only one?

The day I discovered Grasshoppers in my now DHs pantry was a happy happy day for me:goodvibes

I do notice changes from year to year, I didn't know they use different factories but it makes sense.

They definitely seem smaller, and this is the first year we've had them from the other bakery and some boxes we've had were fine other's tasted a little stale or mintless.

IMO they taste the same & look the same.

Check the box to see if they were made by ABC company or if they were made by Little Brownie Bakers. Both make Girl Scout cookies, and There is a difference in the tastes.

To me it is the Tagalongs/Peanut Butter Patties that seem different. Not as much peanut butter.

Made by ABC.

My wife swears the "Thanks A Lot" used to be chocolate coated shortbread, now they are like chocolate coated flavorless cookie. Also made by ABC.

I haven't bought these cookies in years since I eat too many if they're around. I saw some people buying some in front of the store yesterday and the boxes seemed tiny. Is it my imagination or have the boxes shrunk a lot?

That's why I stopped buying cookies. Our council switched from Little Brownie Bakers to ABC a couple years ago. :sad2:

:cutie:

Yes, the boxes are smaller. We used to get three sleeves of Thin Mints, now it's two. And at the same price. :headache:

I noticed a difference in taste when the stopped using trans fat. Also, when I was a GS leader (3 years ago) was when they started to decrease the size of the cookies.

I noticed they weren't as good as I remembered a few years ago. Now if I feel the need to buy GS cookies, I don't bother to get Thin Mints.

The last time I bought Thin Mints we did a comparison and all agreed the Grasshoppers were better. :thumbsup2

None of the cookies are quite as good as they used to be. They eliminated the trans fats a few years ago. Better healthwise (although, really, if you're eating a sleeve of thin mints does it make a difference?) but definitely not good for the taste.
