This will be our first time using ME and we got our luggage tags this weekend....

That was such a nice surprise when they arrived in the mail.... I had kind of forgotten about ME. We have never used the service before. I am excited now. We leave for Disney one month from Tuesday. OKW here we come!!!

We love Magic Express. We hand our luggage over to a Red Cap at our Airport the next time we see them is in our room that night. Of course make sure you take meds, change of clothes bathing suite in your carry-on. Then there is the part I hate to mention. Check in your luggage for your return trip. Take it to the baggage check, they weigh it, tag it and take it away. Only to be seen again at your home airport. Have a Magical trip.

They don't really have red caps by the way.

I still collect my own bags from the baggage carousel at MCO, walk them to the ME bus driver that happily places them in the belly of the bus and then I collect them after I get off the bus at the resort.

I'm probably in the minority that does this, but I have never misplaced a bag and never had to discuss "What do we do now about not having our luggage?" with my wife.

The reverse is too true going home.

NOTE: This is not a knock on ME baggage handlers. I've never used them.

We have rented a car at MCO and still used ME to get our luggage (and some of our family) to the resorts. Always a breeze. Last time we went to WDW we did not use ME and our luggage did not all fit in our rental car, so we had a squeeze a bag between the kids in the back seat. Plus we had to check our bags at the bell desk when we got there since our room wasn't ready, so we had to deal with the bell desk. If we had used ME, our bags would have been in our room by the time we got back from the parks.

Oh Denise you will LOVE not having to think about your bags once you drop them off with the airport skycap or whoever you drop them with. And on the way home...same thing - it's lovely to just walk thru the airport with only your carry-ons to mess with!! Are you using Air Tran or SW?! I think the Air Tran baggage claim is the worst ever but so it's realllly nice to not have to mess with them until you get home!!!

That you can get extra tags if you need them? I always call ME as soon as my tags come and get two more. We check four bags going and five coming home. I have a fold up suitcase that I bring for all the presents I buy.

We use ME every single trip. I love the fact that I don't have to deal with the baggage. On our next trip in April, though, we are going to have to get our own bags because our flight arrives around midnight. Not looking forward to that, but we'll still be on the ME bus to BCV. I guess the good part of that is that we'll have our luggage immediately upon entering the room (which I assume will be available since we arrive so late.)

Really enjoyed hearing all the positives about ME, my friends are using it when we go in 4 months and we were all very curious. (we live in the panhandle so we drive).

The best part about airline check-in at the resort is not having to handle your luggage until you arrive home!

The only down side to ME is not having access to stop somewhere for groceries or if you are the last resort stop for the bus. It just takes a little longer than driving yourself, but it is a great way to relax. No worries!

Our flight is due in around 5:00 ....if there are NO delays...what time would you estimate that we would get our bags?? If we elect to get them at baggage claim....is it hard to get to the ME counter from there?? Thanks

It will show up 3-4 hours later. JUST LET THEM BEING IT Denise!! That is part of the POINT of using DME - you don't have to FUTZ with anything!! You get off the plane, skip baggage claim & get on the bus. As a precaution just pack what you NEED for the first day in your carry-ons (always possible the airline could lose a bag). I absolutely HATE going to the baggage claim zoo. Just let the system work itself out. If you have what you need in your carry-on what's the rush for the other bags? I mean, really? What's the rush?? Just enjoy being bag free. We've never had a problem and we ALWAYS use DME. Would I steer you wrong?!?

We used ME this past April - and I can't thank them enough for the unbelievable job.

I was so tired from all the Disney fun with the DH & 4 kids that both DS (18 mths) & I fell asleep on the bus on the way back to the airport. My digital camera fell out of my pocket and my DD (8) used it to take a photo of us sleeping, then out it back on the seat. When we arrived at the airport I jumped up & didn't notice the camera had fallen out.

After we had gone through security I noticed no camera & just about became hysterical. Starting calling from the cell phone to ME to track down the bus - was it still at airport, calling Disney L&F, calling airport L&F - anyone I could think of because of course all our memories of Thomas's first trip were on that camera.

2 days later at home, I finally got through to the right sequence of people. The ME driver had found the camera & brought it to airport L&F, who in fact still had it. And they Fed Ex'd it back to me - with all our photos still on it!

Although I called ME several times and confirmed that our bus run had been the last of the day, but our driver had been a last minute substitute, so they could never seem to figure out who had actually been responsible for our magic that day. I still wish we could somehow thank him personally and I think about him everytime I look through our photos of that trip.

Not to mention all the other benefits of ME with baggage handling, etc.

Obviously I recommend ME & will be using again in november.
