Does anyone know if there is an account set up that we can make donations to for Caitlyn? If not is there something we can do to set one up?

One thing that I thought about - if her sister has to fight for custody for Caitlyn that could get very expensive, maybe a fund could be set up for that?
I dont know if anyone noticed but Jennifer's boyfriend posted and mentioned a petition if anyone wanted to sign it to fight for custody. He posted his email address for those that want to sigh the petition. I think it might have been overlooked because everyone including myself was in shock.

Bumcat, you're right that that could get expensive and it might be a good use for a fund. I already emailed Robin's sister's boyfriend but thanks for posting that.

The petition is very well intentioned, and is a nice way for people to show their support. For what it's worth, I added my name. But really, how much do you think a pile of names from people on an internet discussion board is going to sway a judge who is making a ruling on a child custody case? If everyone that signs that petition gave a few bucks to help with any legal costs or even for Caitlyn's education or something.....now THAT would make a real difference.

That's where I'm coming from (keeping up with the thread in hopes such a fund exists). We've got 50k users plus here, correct? If one fifth of them threw in five bucks.....legal fees are killers. It's a shame when wrong wins over write because wrong has a bigger wad in the wallet.

I agree that the petition is well intentioned, but I think it would more than likely back fire if presented to a judge.

As a childhood sexual abuse survivor, I am all for keeping Caitlyn out of her father's custody, but if Robin had difficulty proving it before-- our names on a petition isn't going to make any difference except to maybe show malicious defamation against the father(or whatever the correct legal terms would be).

I would be very happy to donate some money towards a fund for Caitlyn as long as it is administered by her grandmother (ie not her father). As long as they are used for her benefit, I don't care how they are used-- legal fees, education, counseling fees, a trip to WDW, whatever. You know what? Even if the funds go towards "buying off" the father so as to sign off legal custody... I don't care-- that benefits Caitlyn.

If there is a fund set up, can it be a fund that will be there to donate to for a little while? I don't have much extra money this summer, but I really want to do something to help.
